I am very excited for a cinematic reveal of this. This is my favorite armor, from my favorite movie about my favorite superhero, and it has been awesome to watch all the parts leading up to this. Please do the cinematic reveal
I love the way you embrace your inner child and have an insatiable curiosity always thinking, can I do that ? . On a similar note I have recently learned to twirl a six gun and holster it like the man with no name ! Most grown ups would think this a childish waste of time but I recognise a kindred spirit so I think you can relate :)
Adam talking about removing paint for weathering reminds me a lot of Baumgartner Restoration. There's a lot of overlap in skills required for what Adam is doing with his weathering and what Baumgartner does in paint restoration as far as knowing what paints react to which solvents. Love watching masters display their skills!
Kind of wonder if Adam has seen his stuff. I'd imagine it would be a profession he respects the hell out of but would acknowledge he does not have the patience or temperament to do himself.
If Adams cracked with access to his cave and supplies then the rest of the world is doomed. I honestly can't think of many places better to live out this current situation.
Adam: Just add a few happy rust spots here and there. Don't worry, there are no mistakes. Just happy accidents. He's like the bob ross of cosplay makers.
A nice addon would be some sort of soft black foam inside the chest area so you wont get a gap between your body and the suit to allow a more ridgid feel from all sides. :)
Life sized bobble head Iron man is the best! Looks amazing in situ on you Adam, great technique and thanks for putting the entire rig on for us to see. Amazing stuff.
Hello Adam I want to say thank you for what impact you have had on me I’m only 14 but when you were on mythbusters you taught me to problem solve and look for new angles since discovery+ came out I have watched every mythbusters episode you have taught me a lot thank you
Adam you have been one of my ideals for a long time now. And I'm a Woodworker. Yet every time I watch one of your videos, I find myself wanting to try working with new materials. So we'll done my friend. When I was a kid I watched myth busters when it was aired. And now 25+ years later I find myself watching your TH-cam channel.. once again well done.
The entire build he has been excited about getting to paint Ironman mark I and you can really see the happiness and excitement in the video. This is why I love to watch his videos, he truly loves what he does.
About the last ten percent, you are absolutely right. As an audio guy, I’m often asked to mix and master stuff. I can spend 8 hours on a mix and tweaking until i feel like it’s done. Then I sit down to master it and three days go by and I’ve got it 98% of the way there. Finally the last 2 percent is done in the last half hour after doing the most critical objective listen. It’s called being an obsessive perfectionist and I totally relate.
A claustrophobic cavern of creation! An icon of incalculable intelligence! Molding men and metal to his means! He is... Adam Savage! The part-time superhuman.
I'm absolutely loving watching this come together! I can't tell if it's more my own preferences or the consistent enthusiasm I see in Adam through this whole thing or the fact that the series allows time for Adam to explain so much of the project. 26/10!
Awesome. So glad part 2 has dropped. I always like to see how other people paint. I always use alclad 2 chrome but I'm intrigued about the pen refills your using.
I JUST LOVE that Adam wears his Omega Speed-master on every video like it's a G-Shock! Hell I have G-Shocks that I remove when work gets hard and dirty.
Hi Adam. Omg it turned out brilliant. You changed the light. It looks cool. It was great fun watching your videos. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Take care.
I love Adam because unlike most cosplayers he takes you on his journey of how he made it painted it and that’s nice instead of him just say oh I mixed this and brushed this now he tells and he show’s
An absolutely brilliant effort throughout. Mr Savage, your painting and weathering skills are an inspiration to us all. My wife and I have used techniques learnt from watching your videos on everything from steampunk violins to RC car drivers, and we thank you deeply. It feels almost petty to make any further suggestions on top of the excellent work that you have done already, so we hope you don't mind if we make one tiny observation regarding the drive belts on the legs. As restorers of old machines, we have come across toothed rubber drive belts in many states of repair, but all have been matt in finish and none have had any signs of metal chipping on the rubber. The small sections of what appear to be chrome finish showing through the black and weathering of the drive belts are a bit like the clown in a liquor store that you mentioned during the video, at least to our eyes. Anyway, hope you don't mind us making that observation, and thanks again for a great series of videos!
Amazing content adam I've followed you since I was like 9 years old and now your showing me how to make things. Its great you were one of my inspirations to start making hand made wooden fishing lures
3:56 heh, Gary Oldman in Leon... 'EVERYONE!' Amazing that was improv and a joke Oldman said in an interview he did it to make Luc Besson laugh, not intending for it to be used Besson loved it and kept it in.
I can't wait for the cinematic reveal of this full costume. Even the limited reveal at the end is very emotional. When we have comicons again, they should have a panel with the full reveal video, ending with Adam walking out on stage in the full Mark 1. Then a panel discussion of what led up to all that.
I feel like Adam had a few Bob Ross moments during this video, especially during the “rusting” painting. Very calming to listen to while working myself.
You show up in *"This work of Art"* ( really.. ) to a Comic-Con.. and out of EEEEEeeeverything that is out there... *my friend - You Are,the MAIN ATTRACTION:)))))* And as we all know, there is a LOT of some of the Coolest stuff... out at Comic-Con. So when I said about the "Main Attraction" (in my personnel opinion of course) I Literally Ment Every Single Word of it!!!! Thank you very much and a MASSIVE congratulations. You've done an INCREDIBLE work my friend...
I love how when Adam is explaining what his process was at the beginning of the video the armor is just nodding it's head along with what Adam is saying
Iron Savage: The Making awesome.... my face, cheeks to be exact, is tired cause i was smiling for that long time from rusting to the finale..... simply awed.
never apologize for your crazy hair! its wonderful. so weird thinking of when you kept it like a buzz cut 20 years ago at the start of mythbusters. it was so dark orange and scruffy never would have imagined it could be like blonde and wavy
Adam is talking about how the process can be easy up to 90% of the way, it's the last 10% that makes the difference between a good replica and a perfect one. Ben Crowe at Crimson Guitars always says that the last 5 - 10% of the work he does on a guitar is the very first thing his customer sees when he/she opens the case. It therefore colours EVERYTHING the customer feels about the guitar. That last 10% is the MOST important part of any build!

HOW WAS THIS 14 HOURS AGO
I am very excited for a cinematic reveal of this. This is my favorite armor, from my favorite movie about my favorite superhero, and it has been awesome to watch all the parts leading up to this. Please do the cinematic reveal
ADAM SAVAGE BUILT THIS IN A CAVE!
Hey Adam, I think you have a good sense of rhythm, have you ever considered trying drumming as a hobby and a workout?
I love the way you embrace your inner child and have an insatiable curiosity always thinking, can I do that ? .
On a similar note I have recently learned to twirl a six gun and holster it like the man with no name ! Most grown ups would think this a childish waste of time but I recognise a kindred spirit so I think you can relate :)
Part 3: "Hey, Adam Savage here, today we build an arc reactor using the salvaged parts of a Patriot missile.""
Obi Stain: “ADAM SAVAGE DID IT IN HIS CAVE. WITH A BOX OF WELL ORGANIZED AND NEATLY LABELED SCRAPS”
Lmaoooo
You bring the child like wonder out from all of us. Stay awesome
Adam never grew up, he just got older. :-)
A reference to Julian is a good reference. :)
Kind of wonder if Adam has seen his stuff. I'd imagine it would be a profession he respects the hell out of but would acknowledge he does not have the patience or temperament to do himself.
Adam's and Julian's channels - my two favorites.
Having Adam Savage stare into your eyes with no emotion while he claps gloved hands together is a terrifying experience
Adam's hair really ads to the whole "mad scientist" vibe he's got going on lol, it's a good look.
Yep, totally makes the role.
I have no idea why he is apologising for it
I LOVE IT
Adam stomping about in his costume making flamethrower noises is just the cutest darn thing lol.
Watching Paint Dry is Awesome with you
It was at 4:22 when the effects of Adam’s isolation finally took their toll
i lost it when he did that.... >.
I do that stuff all the time while the kettle boils
If Adams cracked with access to his cave and supplies then the rest of the world is doomed. I honestly can't think of many places better to live out this current situation.
@@itarry4 now trying to think what sort of mobile weapon could be created out of his lathe, and pairing that with the iron man suit 😂
That plus ADHD...
Adam: Just add a few happy rust spots here and there. Don't worry, there are no mistakes. Just happy accidents.
He's like the bob ross of cosplay makers.
I was totally getting a Bob Ross vibe there as well.
@@spearjrduh, it was a reference
A nice addon would be some sort of soft black foam inside the chest area so you wont get a gap between your body and the suit to allow a more ridgid feel from all sides. :)
I shook my head in wonderment as you donned the suit. Its hard to convey my absolute adoration of your work Adam.
Life sized bobble head Iron man is the best! Looks amazing in situ on you Adam, great technique and thanks for putting the entire rig on for us to see. Amazing stuff.
love to see how much fun Adam has making and painting.
Hello Adam I want to say thank you for what impact you have had on me I’m only 14 but when you were on mythbusters you taught me to problem solve and look for new angles since discovery+ came out I have watched every mythbusters episode you have taught me a lot thank you
I loved you in the mythbusters.
but you dont love him anymore?
@@bourne1012 I do he is awesome

RIGHT ON WITH THE MK.1/PROTOTYPE!!!
IT LOOKS GREAT!!!
adam love how irn man is nodding to everything you said at the beginning

i loved how the head would continuously bob around!! love it!
He has a very Bob Ross kind of delivery at points...
"Yeah, that looks good...happy little rust spots..."
Adam literally demonstrates crack addict tenacity and enthusiasm in this weathering process. I freaking love it.
I think Adam said he did crack as a kid in an episode of mythbusters
He definitely has an ADHD vibe!
A claustrophobic cavern of creation! An icon of incalculable intelligence! Molding men and metal to his means! He is... Adam Savage! The part-time superhuman.

I spent a few years as a scenic painter in Hollywoo. It was one of the most creative periods of my life. Thanks for this, Adam!
Adam, I just _love_ how you're a big kid, revelling in the pure joy of it all. Well done, it looks incredible!
Manic-clapping Adam is the best Adam.
That left knee is so well done, when you showed it in the beginning I thought it was an actual old part that you referenced. Amazing!
A work of art is never finished but merely abandoned.
I JUST LOVE that Adam wears his Omega Speed-master on every video like it's a G-Shock! Hell I have G-Shocks that I remove when work gets hard and dirty.
Simply outstanding
Hi Adam. Omg it turned out brilliant. You changed the light. It looks cool. It was great fun watching your videos. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Take care.
It was like the music built as the corners of my mouth moved in concert to a childlike smile. Bravo, happiness level 10/10.
The gloves segment legitimately put the biggest smile on my face 😄
It profile pic is beautiful.
Ya name.
Just gorgeous.
I love Adam because unlike most cosplayers he takes you on his journey of how he made it painted it and that’s nice instead of him just say oh I mixed this and brushed this now he tells and he show’s
A cinematic reveal of this would be INCREDIBLE, that is a staggering amount of detail and work, and it deserves a good showing off!
This is by far the best custom he has ever built.
What a prodigy you are. I don’t have the words to express my feelings for your accomplishment! Wow!
Adam you are an amazing talent! Your suit looks better than what was in the movie. Absolutely stunning!
3:51 - I got your nod to Gary Oldman there
this is the best F***ing paint job i saw in my life. the rust is incredible!!!
I love the way Mark nods with approval when you rust-up his cod piece.

Simply put, I just love these videos. KEEP. IT. UP ADAM!!!!!!!!
You just killed it as always, awesome !
You are the kid I wanna be at the same age, I'm working on it :)
him putting it on in the end gave me a big burst of joy
Adam, your like a dam magician with paint and weathering. Unreal!
You really need to watch the first video of this build next to the final results to really appreciate what a friggin masterpiece this is now!
I like the way armor nods at the very beginning. 🥰
Beautiful! The knees look like a Gerhard Richter painting!
Amazing content adam I've followed you since I was like 9 years old and now your showing me how to make things. Its great you were one of my inspirations to start making hand made wooden fishing lures
Really really beautiful job, Adam. You are very inspirational. Thank You.
Awesome! I've been waiting for theses videos since the first "Take a look at Adam's Iron Man Mk I"-video from *years* ago. Thanks for the journey!
cant wait to see you wear this at a convention. This looks absolutely sensational!
That looks stunning. Absolutely amazing.
Perhaps my favorite moment is when Adam is using the wash on the codpiece and the head is just nodding. Works on so many levels.
Love Adams energy in this, he’s so amped
Hey Adam, got my Apron last week. It's better than advertised. haven't really left my sewing machine since i put it on. Thank You again!!
Incoming “TONY STARK WAS ABLE TO BUILD THIS IN A CAVE! WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS!” Comments.

Loved that reference also. Nice bit of Info you supplied there also, didn't know it was improve and meant as a joke.
I love how this video swerves into Bob Ross territory. Fantastic!
Pretty awesome to see the suit nod in appreciation as Adam highlights the codpiece.....the touch of an artist is unparalleled.
Adam Savage does his best
Bob Ross 👍

I love that the suit's head bobbles in the intro. Like the suit is nodding along with Adam.
For me it was just a little eerie.
I'm curious if the original manufactures of the base costume ever reached out to comment on Adam's modifications.

Piece of art Adam, fantastic work!
Makes me very happy to see you still doing what you love
Keep it up
Feels like watching a mad scientist's documentation of an experiment. I love it.
Adam Savage: The Bob Ross of weathering
Best time I've had watching paint dry.
Like the way that iron man sometimes nods approval
I am an AFV modeler and i am going to try some of these methods this looks great.
I love how when Adam is explaining what his process was at the beginning of the video the armor is just nodding it's head along with what Adam is saying
Very nice work from the soul. Glad to see an actual camera man at the end!
*an actual Norm!
I would love to see a segment of the paint mixing. The idea of mixing latex and acrylic is interesting.
Iron Savage: The Making

Finally, the conclusion of the saga!! Geeetings from Brazil!
Looking forward to the cinematic reveal! Extraordinary as always!
Adam is the Bob Ross of prop weathering.
It looks like a disgusting mangled mess of metal, and that is the best compliment I can give. Very well done Sir.
Kind of awesome to lay off on the music over timelapses. More of that please.
Nice one adam, mk1 build has helped a lot with mine in particular the painting and weathering.

Cinematic reveal! Yes!
Suiting up reminded me of putting on my goalie equipment in hockey.
i love the wobbling head. makes it look like hes agreeing with every thing Adam is saying.
love when Adam gets the air brush and becomes all Bob Ross-ish
you outdone yourself it looks fantastic
OH MY GOD ITS ALMOST DONE
What a talented man!!
Loved this!!!!
