This absolutely blows my mind, this world is crazy and beautiful. To use as little words as possible, I’ve been improving my education at home and I’ve found that the human brain is such a powerful powerful tool. So I’ve been studying rigorously and have developed myself into a student. I absolutely love learning new things and using my brain and body to its maximum potential because I believe we are so robust and powerful. Without giving you the whole story in a comment, many coincidences have led me to believe that there’s something out there guiding me to follow a certain path of knowledge. After movies with my girlfriend and lots of learning/unlearning myself I figured if I’m gonna be building all types of stuff anyways with my extremely creative mind I might as well build the iron man suit. And after some short research and so many coincidences I found in my research. I need to build the suit, I know I will build the suit. at the moment I’m learning the fundamentals of mechatronics at home and I’ve been seeking a deeper understanding and a better way of learning more hands on. Maybe another coincidence that you found that armor and made this video and I’d figure I’m gonna build the suit and pursue an intense education to get there all at the same time. I know I will build the suit, I know we’re all capable of doing so, I would like to ask your advice if you stumbled across this comment. I would like to hear your thoughts on the suit and how might someone come across the education, funding, and resources to build it. Longer than I’d hoped but needed some detail to add flavor
I love that no matter how much I know I always learn something from more experienced people such as yourself, even though this is a build for fun the detail that you give and the little tips truly add value. For example your explanation of countersink bits and why you prefer one type to another was invaluable as I own single Grove types and the tri-Grove certainly makes sense. The biggest thing I learned in this vid; that you can pour resin in to rods for later turning on the lathe. Also, taking that idea further, you could pour it in to cubes (like a pint milk carton) for later machining on the mill!! I totally love it. Plus, it is a great way to use "left over" resin when you over mix for a project.
Hey Adam, for quickly removing acrylic protective sheeting... use another piece of acrylic sheeting and rub it against and in the direction of the acrylic sheet to be removed. Sometimes a slight angle also works. We had to remove lots of laser cut acrylic parts from their sheets. We learned this method from an acrylic supplier.
@@SpuneDagr no you are thinking of Michelangelo. Magneto is a public declaration of policy and aims, especially one issued before an election by a political party or candidate.

Hey Adam. A great tip for removing paper from old acrylic is wipe over the paper with a rag dampened with mineral turpentine. Leave for 30 seconds. Works a treat every time
Adam, I love little tricks like the way you found the center of the circle on the LDF. I would love to learn more of such tricks if you would be willing to sprinkle them into your vids. One of the ones I use regularly is having a square edge and using a carpenter's square or speed square to find a series of points to either draw a line or approximate points while springing a batten. Another is using a Ticking Stick, a uniquely shaped piece of material with a point at one end, a straight edge and a wavy/shaped edge, patterns can be made by taping a piece of paper/ thin plywood onto a part, putting the point of the stick into a corner or point of interest with the wide end over the paper, and tracing the stick. Repeat with the other points of interest. To Replicate the part, tape the pattern to the stock, align the stick with the tracings and mark where the point lands, repeat for all points. Take up the paper and connect the points. th-cam.com/video/Cd2LY857oTY/w-d-xo.html
One of the things I love about long episodes like this is that it allows for some amount of relatable madness to emanate. I love it. Sometimes it might appear at a slightly surprising moment, but it's fine. This is fine.
I know this is late, but I have found Adam and his many eclectic build videos. I would love to see a building/large room with all his builds in one space. Great work Adam, you are very talented.
7:14 3 years later and Adam has the exact diameter tubing he is referencing! Talk about it going full circle. Well done Adam. Nice way to really make it man.
Agreed, Adam's step drill and countersink choices work great for acrylic. BUT, if you need a size not offered in a step drill... you can regrind any twist drill for drilling acrylic with less chance of grabbing or shattering. The tip angle is 90* instead of the common 118*, and then the two cutting lips need to be stoned flat to have zero rake angle (makes it scrape like the step drill, rather than dig in). The flats only need to be 1/64"/0.015"/0.25mm wide to do the job. It's a great re-use for dull or broken drills, and most of us could make a set of acrylic drills for our commonly used sizes from the "dull bit box". Also, for drilling other soft materials such as brass, a standard 118* bit with the rake angle stoned to zero keeps the bits from grabbing. They'll still cut steel with a bit more pressure, and you can always re-sharpen the flats away if you like.

Does anyone else not have the patience to watch Adam build any of this stuff & just watch the very beginning for the intro of what he's doing & then skip to the end to see what he built? I'm the only one? Cool. Lol.
"This magneto... magNEATO!"
The multiple clocks in his packed warehouse is just a visual representation of how his mind works lmao.
Alternate Title: "Adam yells at an arc reactor for an hour."
A portion of an hour, but you can tell he wanted to for an hour.
I don’t know why I’m surprised to see so much math, but I’m actually amazed
Hey Adam. A great tip for removing paper from old acrylic is wipe over the paper with a rag dampened with mineral turpentine. Leave for 30 seconds. Works a treat every time
The friction fits in these builds are UNREAL
I love Bobble-Head Iron-Man at the end (1:14:50)
“I don’t think anyone in their right mind would throw out a scrap like this.” I would love to meet you- and ask you to explain me to my wife.
Haha, yeah. And now we’re BOTH going to go square up our scraps.
He probably wants you to explain him to his wife! Lol!
Hey I resemble that remark
Same here 🤣
I actually rewound that and showed it to my wife. She was still not impressed.

Ark reactor : "yeahahah, yeeaahh, Yeeahh, YA! YA! YO!!"
Adam : "wow, I ughh its gonna its gonna alright soo"
42:40 The joy from smacking that glass in the hole lol Pure joy right there.
Adam randomly yelling at the arc reactor to get a reaction made me lol.
33:22 "I've got some nice tools, but yeah"...
You have ALL the nice tools...lol
Hey Tested Team!!!
👋👋
One of the things I love about long episodes like this is that it allows for some amount of relatable madness to emanate. I love it. Sometimes it might appear at a slightly surprising moment, but it's fine. This is fine.
I know this is late, but I have found Adam and his many eclectic build videos. I would love to see a building/large room with all his builds in one space. Great work Adam, you are very talented.
I love Gunthers subtitles. Also, 58:33 "spary paint noises" :P
Fact Twist: Adam’s day runs on its own time sequence, meaning in the workshop, his one day equals a year for the rest of us DIYers 😂
What's the music for the timelapse at the end? I'm really digging that.
Hopefully someone knows. That was tight
Wanting the same! How has nobody posted this yet?
7:14 3 years later and Adam has the exact diameter tubing he is referencing! Talk about it going full circle.
Well done Adam. Nice way to really make it man.
Always like Adams mindset and his art of tinkering. Bravo sir!
Everyone:The world is ending!
Adam Savage:Ha ha everything failed.
So... More like a One Day Part of a Three Month Build of a Ten Year Project.
I can see why you wouldn't name your series that.
I like how he doesn't even have to explain what an "Arc Reactor" is to this audience lol
