"Uber-sane" is not how I would describe a guy who runs on rooftops at night dressed like a bat looking for criminals to punch because he's haunted by a childhood trauma.
I mean, he's showed insane willpower, and he shows compassion and shows remorse for actions. If he IS insane, he doesn't fall under the normal definition of it.
TheShadowOfMadness the joker and batman are the same, with one difference, the joker embraces his insanity while batman doesnt. Batman is in fact insaine, and many stories on comics support this idea, but what makes batman an impressive character is that he uses his insanity for good. In a world where the justice system is absolutly trash and terrorists like the joker, penguin, two face and the riddler wont be allowed on death fow batman seems like a hero. But in our world, he probably not be for some.
I heard an idea, from a guy who used to run a comic store near me, about the Lantern Corps rings that kinda makes sense to me. He said that it's believed that, hypothetically, if someone could wear and use a ring from each of the 9 Lantern Corps at the same time, that person would basically have unlimited power over the universe [guessing he got the premise from Marvel's Infinity Stones?]. Problem was, that in the DCU it was considered impossible for any lifeform to wield more than one single Lantern ring at any time, as the power from multiple rings would drive them insane [hence why it's such a big deal that Hal Jordan could wield both a Green and a Blue Lantern ring]. The idea is, what if a person who was ALREADY insane got a hold of all 9 Lantern rings? Hypothetically, their pre-warped mind would be able to handle managing the elements of Hope, Will, Love, Fear, Rage, Envy, Compassion, Life, and Death simultaneously. Somebody... like The Joker, maybe? The more I think on the idea, the more I think that would possibly make for the best Joker storyline ever. 'Infinity War' meets 'Deadpool Kills-', but with a DC flavour to it. I mean, you'd have to have one HELL of an ending to tie it all up without having Joker wipe everything out- unless it's just done as a rehash of Emperor Joker, of course.
But isn't the White Ring just all of the 7 rings combined? If that's it, the Joker with all 7 would just become White Lantern Joker. Making the stackup of no use. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the premises to be a Black Ring wielder let you wield another Ring as well. Still, Joker becoming a White Lantern just because he can wield all of the 7 Rings together would be great to see.
I think the Joker's "poison immunity" is a form of mithridatism where a high tolerance can develop by chronic and ever increasing exposure to his and the Scarecrow's gas. The thing is, if true, remember it's a resistance, doubly meaning that the Joker is actually under the effects of the gas(es) at all times to a much lower degree.
17:23 “Which is a bit odd, but it’s a kid’s show, so they’ve got to figure out a way to end it all in 20 minutes”. Best description of a kids show ever
I think he was already immune, which is how he survives the vat in the first place. Much like when his blood turns poison, the vat overloaded his system and caused his insanity/disfigurement.
In some incarnations of the character, the Joker has been described as not insane in the typical sense, but "Super-sane", with the idea being that he's literally ahead of the curve and percieves reality in a more "sane" way than everybody else. The meta interpretation of this a lot of people go for is that, on some level, the Joker's aware that he's in a comic book (or at least, a form of fiction, he knows his universe isn't completely real) which is why he considers everything a massive joke. He's literally playing a role to liven up the comics. I must stress that the whole "Super-sane" thing isn't completely widespread and the Joker being able to see past the 4th wall is very much speculation, but IMO it's an interesting way to view the Joker in a lot of his comics.
Needlemouse u probably won't see this but if you didn't see, joker is saying 'Emperor Joker' backwards at 15:21 Just thought I'd mention it as it's kinda cool
Gordon: "Y-Yes! I did it!" (Takes a moment to process) "I killed the Joker!" (Calls Batman) "Hey, Batman!" Batman: "You seem excited." (Thugs ambiently screaming/bones breaking/"We're going to tear you to shreds! Etc.) Gordon: "That's because it finally happened, Joker's gone! I shot him! And now he's dead! This is the best day of my life!" Batman: "...I need a minute. (Turns towards violent attacking gang) Hey, guys, hold on!" Thug: .....? What the heck is your plan here, Bat-Freak? You think saying THAT is going to stop us? Batman: "Joker's dead." Thugs: ......... (Everybody looks at each other, dumbfounded)
I love how needlemouse explains almost the whole storyline of whats happening on his list so that were not having that feeling where we want to find out what the story is but were too lazy.

Possibly he's outside of Specter's jurisdiction. Remember, Specter is divine judgement given form. He can only judge mortals who have sinned, so it's quite possible that a dimension hopping imp who never does any true harm is untouchable for the Specter. Or, since the Specter needs a human host, it's possible that a 5th dimensional being's powers are stronger than his.
Batman is uber sane? He runs around in the dark in a bat costume fighting crime because his parents were murdered to satisfy his hero complex. Soooo sane
and just because he's insane no the joker does it all just to screw with batman. some people say joker is so sane it makes him insane because he realized they're fiction.
6:40 That's actually the version I first recognized. He's been experimenting on himself for so long that his system just doesn't recognize toxicity any more.
The Three Jokers miniseries (if taken as canon) shows that Batman does know Joker's identity, but purposely doesn't reveal it so that his wife and son are never targeted.
The one other time that comes to mind that wasn't listed here is when the Joker got a hold of Loki's Mask in the 'Joker/The Mask' crossover. He was basically a god while wearing the mask, until tricked into taking it off.
He's actually had the ultimate superpower since the beginning. Popularity because if you think about it, "or go back to the 5 times the joker has died videos on this channel" he always comes back after dying so many times
I think Joker should have some abilities, and all of them should be from those toxins that made his skin white. He can feel little pain, he's immune to most toxins and his skin is more durable than most people. Same think with Harley, with the downside of becoming mentally unstable.
Bruce does know who Joker is. He doesn't have it on file since his computer and files have been hacked many times before. And if the joker knew then he would regain all of his memories and find out that his wife and son are still alive. He then would go to them and either torture or kill them
Scorpio91201 ok I can help with this vampires in marvel are ghoul like things and summoned by Dracula and expendable but burn in light like all vamps, vampires in dc also burn like all vamps but are like typical vamps so bite bite turn turn repeat
