One thing worth mentioning is that in arkham knight the tanks batman blows up are drones- so they don't have anything inside them. Also, when he shoots the thugs, those are just knockout impact bullets
Person who doesn't like violence uses gun in real life: dang. did you know that he shot someone? batman uses guns: **AAHAHDGAOGJOIFDJGOJOIJOIJ NO YOU VIOLATED THE LAWW**
Honestly my personal favorite is the Batman Beyond version, the animation is so good that you can just tell by the look on his face he's having vietnam flashbacks to that night in the alley, imagining himself in the shooters place, and that absolutely terrifies him
Something I never really took in about the Beyond Batsuit, yet never forgot: That 10:1 figure on the strength ratio. That means that Batman, in that scene, was trying his level best not to tear those hostage takers heads off as he punched and kicked them in a suit that (despite his age) is still amplifying a Batman punch ×10. Even Terry, as a young man, often didn't seem to punch right to me, every now and again. He throws his whole body into an uppercut that usually doesn't seem like he's trying. Again, holding back as opposed to tearing someone's head off on accident. It actually explains some things in retrospect, like how he would like to fly into people with two fists and rocket feet. Like he's getting desperate, but he doesn't want to kill someone in his desperation, so he throws his whole body at them on rockets because that is *actually* less dangerous for them then him trying to control a suit powered punch in a panic. Also what pissed me off about Return of the Joker, during their fight. It's like, "I know everything Batman knew," essentially a Joker with Batman combat training, and yet he can over power a person ten times stronger than him (just *catches the punch!)*
I like to imagine Batman actually 'uses' guns... just as a hobby at a shooting range or on the odd hunting trip with one of the Robin's as a 'family bonding' and the like.
To be fair, the reason why the Batmobile is basically a tank in the Batman: Arkham Knight game is because Joker was subconsciously influencing Batman to be more violent, which caused him to add more firepower to the Batmobile. In earlier games, specifically Batman: Arkham Asylum, we can see that the Batmobile doesn't have guns.
You know what would have been cool say there is a time travelling event and Batman gets set to the night of his parents death and Batman beats Joe Chill which alters history and in order to save histimeline has to shoot his parents in order to save the universes history
Jcfrosty Cheesebugga True, but it would be better if someone made an unofficial fan-comic of it or something like that, instead of DC making an official event. It would just feel lazy if DC made Flashpoint all over again.
The weapons on the vehicles aren't mean for people necessarily. They're meant for taking out other vehicles, clearing obstructions, breaching, they're less of a weapon and more of a utility
My opinion on why Batman’s vehicles have guns are so they can slow down any other vehicle that he is chasing otherwise he could only barge into them which in comics would do nothing to any type of vehicle except bikes now and again
Well for the guns in Batman's vehicles I believe that most of them do not have lethal ammo. Such as rubber bullets or bean bags to neutralize the target. Also their mainly used for difficult opponents that he normally can't take down on his own.
I think the reason Batman has guns on his vehicles is so he can effectively stop and or fight other vehicles with guns on them. Also it probably helps to have a tank for a car when you need to literally fight a god!
I think Needlemouse forgot about all the vehicle -ground and airborne- altercations Batman has to go through in which guns on the Batmobile are absolutely imperative. Now you might be thinking, "Why doesn't Batman either run down the vehicles he's chasing or find an alternative way to stop them in their tracks?" But just remember; these are comic books. There is always going to be someone who outclasses Batman in one way or another. Like Bane in the strength department or Riddler in smarts. Vehicles are just another means. Like in The Batman, (which came out way after this.) Chasing Cobblepot would have been leagues more efficient if he had some way of taking his car down from range. But he didn't have this, something he definitely remedied after the fact.. Admittedly, the car chase was absolutely epic, but still. And in the case of Arkham Knight, (which did come out before this.) Batman was being influenced subtly by the Joker knocking around in his psyche to place more and more weapons on the Batmobile and to deck out the car. Joker was still rooted too far into his mind to come out then, but he was still there. And even then, Batman has never killed anybody with the weapons. He only ever uses Riot Supressors in the case of thugs or Militia needing to be taken down or the Vulcan Cannon or Tank-Busting Rounds or Electromagnetic Pulses or Rockets (Jesus fuck Batman.) To take down the drone tanks of the Militia. In the case of normal thugs he usually does just run them down. Though comparing some rusty car to the Batmobile would be the equivalent of comparing a 9mm to an Ion Cannon, or somewhere close. In the case of the Snyderverse, well, Snyder is just an idiot who doesn't know jackshit about Batman. He's diluted himself into thinking he knows better on who Batman would really be like then the *GODDAMN SOURCE MATERIAL* he pulls from do. Now, of course, alternative invisionings of Batmen who do kill are never unwelcome, Flashpoint Batman being the most famous, but it's only when you screw up the fundamental basics of Batman in so many regards that the only thing that even comes close to being accurate is his name in which such adaptations aren't welcome. Flashpoint Batman actually has a reason to kill, Snyder's Batman doesn't. In conclusion: Batman really either has no choice in having guns on his vehicles or needs them in order to be generally more efficient in terms if fighting crime in ways he simply can't alone. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
Let see how many batman gadget that use kind a gun. Rubber bullets Remote electrical charge Grapple gun Tazer gun Sticky grenade gun from arkham origins blackgate And syringe gun
In Arkham knight, the batmobile has a side option in the armory as bullets that just puts people unconscious. He only used the other weapons at the drones which had no one in them.
I don't think using a gun is inherently bad, but your intentions on using a gun can be. For everything Bruce and the JL have been through, he sure as hell deserves to use guns.
I don't know if you know this but the in the brave and the bold episode Batman costume is purple which is a reference to villain the wrath who (the comics) use guns
Makes sense for him to bend the rule a bit for vehicular weapons. Sometimes he’ll be forced to face heavier vehicles/hard targets that simply cannot be defeated otherwise. To put it simply, he couldn’t imagine turning a gun on a human being, but he has slightly less qualms using one to shoot out a truck’s engine or disable a nigh-invulnerable giant robot
11:35 and there lies the problem... the police and military don't use guns to do good. It is more of a necessity to stop criminals/enemies or to kill them, if not compliant (worse case: one of you have to die). If your only way to enforce your will is through a death threat or murder, then there's nothing good in your ways... Batman and other superheroes represent an ideology that we have to strive for (but their method is incomplete; how boring would it be seeing Batman enter the prison and chat with the villains for hours and offering them help, so they could live a normal life again), but we're still a long way from achieving that. The main problem we have is... police and military aren't immune to bullets. I'm totally for using machines as a law enforcer, but they shouldn't be a mass production; each and every one of them should be an individual. Perhaps if we had a law that lets every household build their own robot, so they can be registered as a family member. They should be well informed in the psychology of human beings, so they take in the role as a friend in needy times, a solution finder, a good adviser and/or a really great listener. ... how the hell did I get from watching a video about Batman wielding a gun, to me wanting machined military? :D
You can have amazing stories about batman having to deal with guns, it's just so annoying when Snyder fanboys try to justify a bad movie with "Batman uses guns all the time!!11 hurr durr!"
"the police and army both use guns when necessary to protect people" *mr blue sky starts to play with scenes of police and military brutality playing in the background... so basically just a comprehensive list of US history*
Brody Woodham Would you call a soldier who had died fighting to protect the country a coward? Would you call a person who are just trying to protect themselves a coward? People use guns for different reasons whether for protection or fulfilling a purpose through violence whether it is good or bad. A person would barely be able to protect themselves without it since self defense through physical contact often don’t end well for the attacker and the person. May God have mercy on them once they got mugged by gunpoint, they won’t be able to do anything other than be forced to obey the oppressor’s commands and pray that the attacker won’t pull the trigger though to be fair it is also a dumb idea to pull out a gun in that kind of situation which is why people wait for the right time to use their weapons for self defense. Which comes to your statement Hunter, that guns are clumsy. Guns or literally ANY weapon that are designed for combat are only “clumsy” when they are handled by the inexperienced which is why they are trained how to use it properly. Batman won’t be able to beat up those mooks if he could just put on a bat suit and run into the streets of Gotham without any proper training or tech because he would just get beaten up by the weird guy that you keep seeing on the dark alleyway while walking to your local convenience store to buy some hotdogs and dew. He needs allot of time to prepare and train in order for him to become the Batman he had to go to a temple which is isolated from civilisation and filled with ninjas located in a mountain to spend god knows how long to stay there to learn how to fight and be sneaky.
Hunter X05 That Batman also hit people with his car, kidnapped a child (also calling him retarded) is completely psychotic and violent. He may not have used a gun but it’s almost surprising that he didn’t kill far more people
10:30 I know this video is really old, but i love watching your content and wanted to add this. In Arkham Knight, the reason why batman has firepower on his batmobile was the Joker's blood in him influencing him to make that decision.

So no guns aren’t automatically bad just because they are guns
Objects made to kill why is bad according to batman
I mean Grifter used it and he is doing for justice.
@@mrnolalife objects not made to kill can also be used as weapons. And objects made to kill can also be used as a tool to save lives. It really depends on the user.
it's not the guns that are bad, it's only the person who uses it. Guns can even be used to defend the innocent and stop bad guys, if used correctly.
I don't think it's so much "guns bad" as it is "A dude with a gun killed my parents and it screwed me up for life, so I just don't like using them", in Batman's case.
Dude's got..... issues.....
Batman: “I don’t like guns”

You have a choice wether use guns or not as Batman
Oh yeah the Batman event that was in fortnite

Jim Gordon: Am I a joke yo you?
I mean Jim has to use as part of his duty.
GCPD who he works with: *wot*
though a friend, jim still carries. why? he is a cop. also, have you tried telling your friend not to carry a firearm, or tell them they need to stop doing this or that. it would be exseptionally rude
The guns on his vehicle never is used on human life. He uses it as a tactical advantage like blowing down walls or machinery... on the Video Arkham Dark Knight Arkham Knight even indicates that the the tanks are remote control. And if he does shoot he's gun at a actually person they are beanbags
Joshua Kidd As someone who has been hit with a beanbag round I can say for a fact they hurt like a bitch imagine getting hit by a heavyweight boxer except that force is spread out over double the area
+Fear the Pig gaming still not lethal. Anyway I know one case of death from rubber bullet.
and after beanbag-shoting them, its possible to shot with the MG and the cannon on their bodies. and running them over probaly killed some too
johannes Schenker your opinion doesn't matter to me because it a stupid one that has nothing to with batman "attempting" kill someone weirdo
Joshua Kidd i never said he actively tried to, but looking at it realistically, some probably died of injuries inflicted by batman
He could just use rubber bullets...
Darth Stalker he does in his tank in The Dark Knight Rises Part 1
His Arkham batmobile uses Riot Suppressor rounds. Whatever they are.
B1g Ch13f81 there fictional rounds but there based on the beanbag rounds used mostly for riot control
orc at war 98 ahh. Thank you. They look like they hit like a son of a bitch.
Darth Stalker we should be friends cause we keep on meeting in our favorite videos
While I agree Batman beyond is the best time Batman used a gun I feel Final crisis is an underrated 2nd pick. It’s a really cool moment that is totally believable. Batman making 1 exception once to save potentially all of the universe is a trade off I feel Batman would agree too.
One thing worth mentioning is that in arkham knight the tanks batman blows up are drones- so they don't have anything inside them. Also, when he shoots the thugs, those are just knockout impact bullets
I love this channel it’s a pleasure to watch any vid
Keep it up
The only reason he doesn't carry guns is because that if accidentally misuse it, it might kill someone.

Person who doesn't like violence uses gun in real life: dang. did you know that he shot someone?
batman uses guns: **AAHAHDGAOGJOIFDJGOJOIJOIJ NO YOU VIOLATED THE LAWW**
You can’t ever call yourself a Batman fan and not have seen Batman brave and the bold
It's like,
"I know everything Batman knew," essentially a Joker with Batman combat training, and yet he can over power a person ten times stronger than him (just *catches the punch!)*
I like to imagine Batman actually 'uses' guns... just as a hobby at a shooting range or on the odd hunting trip with one of the Robin's as a 'family bonding' and the like.
Once I saw the premise of this video, I knew the Batman Beyond episode would be #1

Jcfrosty Cheesebugga That's just awesome
Thanks but someone should write a story like that man
Doesn't this sound like The Flashpoint Paradox all over again? Or rather call it the Batpoint Paradox?
Jcfrosty Cheesebugga True, but it would be better if someone made an unofficial fan-comic of it or something like that, instead of DC making an official event. It would just feel lazy if DC made Flashpoint all over again.
Dark Amulet Oh well, there goes season 3 of the fictional Batman TV show I need for this joke to work...
The weapons on the vehicles aren't mean for people necessarily. They're meant for taking out other vehicles, clearing obstructions, breaching, they're less of a weapon and more of a utility
What are you talking about Batman uses a gun all the time!
A grappling gun.
I know! Iknow! He doesnt use gun because they shoot his family
The gun didn't shoot them the criminal did
I think he just hates guns that have to be held
My opinion on why Batman’s vehicles have guns are so they can slow down any other vehicle that he is chasing otherwise he could only barge into them which in comics would do nothing to any type of vehicle except bikes now and again
Well for the guns in Batman's vehicles I believe that most of them do not have lethal ammo. Such as rubber bullets or bean bags to neutralize the target. Also their mainly used for difficult opponents that he normally can't take down on his own.
some might, but in the dark night movie, he uses it to just make obsticals vanish
It depends who's holding the guns like gangsters and the mafia.
Batman be like. I dont use guns
You should have mentioned batman: bad blood
He almost shoots himself and then shoots a katana out of talias hands
I think batman shouldn't use a gun simply because he doesn't NEED to. He's skilled enough to fight crime without one, therefore he won't use a gun.
Also his parents were shot dead
“These are the weapons of cowards!!!!”
Everyone in anyway ever: am I a joke to u?
I think the reason Batman has guns on his vehicles is so he can effectively stop and or fight other vehicles with guns on them. Also it probably helps to have a tank for a car when you need to literally fight a god!
Bring Batman Beyond Back !!!
J Bell no
just read the comic
J Bell yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Braxton G. Glad u agree 😎
J Bell #BringBackBatmanBeyond
He's diluted himself into thinking he knows better on who Batman would really be like then the *GODDAMN SOURCE MATERIAL*
he pulls from do.
Man, he’s used a gun so many times.
The grappler gun

For his neutral b, he uses g-
No, i won't fall that deep
6:17 I'm sure the fact Batman "jumps the shark" in the final Batman: The Brave & The Bold isn't lost on anyone, either.
There’s also a time in the dark Knight returns where he shoots that guy and says “I believe you”, which is reprised in BvS
A gun _is_ useful as a self-defence aid, but I don’t think Batman ever should. He’s at a level where he almost always doesn’t need to.

"the police and army both use guns when necessary to protect people"
*mr blue sky starts to play with scenes of police and military brutality playing in the background... so basically just a comprehensive list of US history*

Grappling gun: Am I a joke to you?
What about when he shot Talia’s sword in one of the animated movies?
Im assuming the whole gun thing is due to how he lost his parents
Damn, Snyder got you pressed
Another time he used a gun was in Batman Bad Blood when he shot Taleya's sword out of her hands
Even Frank Miller knew that Batman dislikes guns… they're clumsy…
Yup. Guns are also loud and the weapons of cowards
He may not have used a gun but it’s almost surprising that he didn’t kill far more people
That's why Batman needs a lightsaber. An elegant weapon....
@@creed8712 None of that happened in The Dark Knight Returns
10:30 I know this video is really old, but i love watching your content and wanted to add this. In Arkham Knight, the reason why batman has firepower on his batmobile was the Joker's blood in him influencing him to make that decision.
