Exactly based on this logic I choosed S24+, I don't need stylus and cameras from S24+ are good enough. Doesn't justify price difference for S24 Ultra which is indeed a very good phone.
s24+ prettier than the ultra too
bruh.. the s24plus design looks like cheaper A55 or A15 especially with a case on! But S24 ultra has that premium back design with titanium and also 75% less reflective screen. S23 back design looks similar to cheaper A15 but at least S23 is different due to different flash position from A15/A55@@jeffjeffjeff69
@@jokast8861 It's the front design that matters the most. Check if those A55 and A15 have the same screen to body ratios.
@jokast8861 s23 plus design is better to me. I like the rounded edges and smaller design. The titanium back design on the ultra is useless if you use a case and the less reflective screen is useless when you use a screen protector.
@@boom5732 you made a good point ......trying to get my mom one cuz her galaxy is old idk if i should get the this one the s24 plus or iphone
I wish GSMARENA could test the SD version of the S24/+ as well; their photo /video comparison tools is very handy to give you a proper impression of a given phone's cameras and I suspect the 'laid back' processing of the S24/+ mentioned in the review is due to their having the Exynos processor. When I compared the photos of the S23 (which had SD) to the S24 (which has Exynos) on GSMARENA I liked the pics of the older model more since they were sharper. It's appropriate to chalk that up to the change of processor because the camera hardware remained the same from last year's models, but the question will still remain as to how the SD version of the S24/+ would've fared in GSMARENA's tests and whether that laid back processing is Samsung's new approach on all its phones regardless of processor type or not.
IMO, it's not really a price decision. It's a form factor preference. The S24+ is perfect for me. The S24U went back as it was too big and bulky.
Exactly. I never use the s pen on my tablet, don't want one on my phone. S24+ has everything I want without the weight and boxy feel of the Ultra.
Good review. Thank you.
The low light negative on ultra vs. anti-glare is yet another compromise that zeros out benefit of the ultra for me.
Really not a issue of best for more money.
I'd buy the s23 ultra over the s24+
in my country, it's the same price
240Hz PWM on S23 👎
For me, the S23 lineup is the way to go. In Brazil, those devices saw a considerable cut in their prices; besides, it's undeniable that it's one of the most well-done series ever made by Samsung.
@@3lectronic0 Idk what is PWM except for PC fans..
But you are ignoring that the S23 line up has more SnapDragon offers around the world, where the S24 most comes with Samsung chip
@@1300lYes, as an s23+ user, one of the only few let downs of this phone is its 1080p display.
1080p + Snapdragon > 1440p + Exynos all day.
@@kasadam85no s24+ is way better, more ram, better display 2k screen, exynos 2400》Snapdragon Gen2
Watching from my regular s24 that i just got yesterday. Great size for me
Big question: exynoshit or snapygreat?
Exynos o snapdragon?
Snapdragon
@@edcAdventures. Nice
no 45 watt super fast charging :(
The ultra is definitely the better phone but it's gigantic it's just too big what the sharp edges it also not really comfortable the whole for a long time but I guess if you need the S-Pen it's the way to go but I went for the s24 Plus
I am looking to upgrade my phone. Watching this video from my 5.5 year old POCO F1. I watched S23 ultra review when it came out, now its S24. I think may be I will watch S25Ultra review as well 😀.
I got the S24+. Trade in my S23fe because of the horrible ergonomics. The S24 Ultra would be the same issue. Only way I would take the Ultra is if the exynos SOC was in the S24+ in my country. Other than that I don't use the s pen on my tablet so not going to pay to have one in my phone. Heavy and boxy Ultra, heavy and boxy S23fe that I hated.
The Ultra is like a sunroof in a car. Some like it and others hate the sun beating down on them. It has options many don't want to pay extra for. And because of those options you get the unique shape which is not comfortable to some.
Anti glare, well that's done as soon as I put a glass screen protector on. Anti glare is of interest to me. I almost bought the Samsung film for my S24+ but I want the protection of glass.
So the only option the S24 Ultra has over the S24+ that I like is the 5x zoom. But not worth the uncomfortable feel of the Ultra and added price.
I get the 24+, the s24 ultra had the sharp edge that would ding I seen the store model. I don't use the pen and don't need the extra zoom. Don't need a bigger phone than my promax 13. People was right don't need all the extra feature when it's hidden in the menu.
This video is quite late.
Before launch, I knew I wanted the S24 Ultra, and I am not disappointed.
I chose the s24+ for 2 main reasons which may be different from others. 1) Im canadian so my s24+ is snapdragon, 2) I dont use the cameras all that much and the cameras on the s24+ are still incredible, in daylight they will look identical to the ultra except you dont get the 5x lense. To me, im not spending another $400 for a 5x lense and a Spen. Other than that, theres no difference I guess than anti reflective display which is nice I will say
I use a glass screen protector so the anti glare is a non issue on the Ultra.
Love my 24U but I find typing on it to be weird. Tons of mistakes that were not an issue with my Note 20U. It's almost like the screen is hyper sensitive. I press "E" and I get 3 Es and an R. I have touch sensitivity turned off and I have tried 4 different keyboards with the same results.
The two are very similar in size but feel very different in hand. I wish there were 5x Zoom in the plus, so I would prefer the smaller one.
Exactly same thoughts
@mriatravel yeah! They should understand that some users don't need the S-pen, Note design language, but only a good Zooming camera. Just like the S21 ultra.
S23+ long term review please
I agree with you. We need a review @gsmarena
yesss
Yea, idk if i'm delusional but i don't see the need to upgrade for the S24+
I would've got the S24+ but it has the inferior Exynos 2400 chip here in the UK, so i got the Ultra because that has the Snapdragon everywhere. The Ultra has been fantastic so far, just a bit big for me but I'll get used to it.
I'm watching on my s24+ 512/12 gb. Got for 800 usd with free fe buds, wireless charge, and vegan case, including taxes. No trade in, just direct purchase.
where?
Before, I had s22 plus, now s24 ultra, and I miss my old s22 plus and can't wait to change it back to plus or another android phone. The s24 ultra is too big, too heavy, and the worst of all, it has sharp corners, which makes it very uncomfortable to hold. The main reason I bought ultra is better camera and 5x zoom. I don't understand why Samsung doesn't put all these cameras on plus models
Nice
Best channel
I dont rock a case on my phones, so the ultra has been the go to the past 2 years for me due to having a stronger screen. I dropped my s22 ultra idek how many times, onto every surface, from so many heights...believe me, the phone looked like it had been to war, and never ONCE did the screen crack. Its not even a second thought for me, ultra is worth every penny for that reason alone. Plus i enjoy the bigger screen for consuming videos and such. I dont wear modern fashion either, so my wrangler cowboy cuts have plenty of pocket space for it with no issues👍
Love them Wranglers!
What I really want in the S24 Ultra is the 5x zoom camera. If the S24+ had this feature, I would buy it.
I don't need any other features like 200mpx Camera and Stylus.
tbh seems majority buy ultra more for cameras than Spen and also S24 ULTRA has premium back design unlike S24 that looks like cheap A15
Really wanted to get the s24 ultra but couldn't afford it. Had to settle for s24 plus but I ❤️ it. It feels like an ultra just missing camera and s-pen.
@@Anamae5451 you get exynos or snapdragon?? Do you think its worth spending more for the ultra from the plus?
@@jokast8861 I have the s24+ snapdragon, My brother has the ultra. Theres 0 difference other than that 5x lense and Spen. I dont think its worth the $400 extra. The s24+ is amazing
@@anonym5510 fair enough but what if my region gets exynos? Does it make price diff more worth it
Price difference is not that much in my country, so i would go for S24 ultra
Ultra. Just for the design itself. There is no choice at all. Buying phones are always fun. Every time you top up a 50 or 200 to 300 you open up a whole new set of wide selection to choose from all the time.
yeah cus only that ultra only has that specific premium back design while S24 looks like cheap A15
I love my s24 ultra works, so good it's amazing. I'm really enjoying my s pen ❤❤❤❤
Hey bro 🎉
Imagine if smartphone tech giants will make only 1 flagship with an affordable price. Maybe, everyone will like it than having 3 flagships.
bruh if thats the case, all other samsung budget phones will go bankcrupt
I wanted the Ultra but I don't like it my hands 😫 I wanna be able to type using one hand only. I don't have a giant hand. I fear it might slip, whenever I adjust it to my hand
I have an ultra and already thinking about replacing it with smaller model
Just ordered the S24 Ultra from Samsung for £580 so was a no brainer.
The Galaxy S24 series is very good, even though it costs thousands of money 💰. It has good cameras 🎥, good screens, and even artificial intelligence features in their software
If I have money, I will definitely go for the S24+
I'm using s24+ but debating if to get the ultra or not lol
@@rusty5078 that's life 😁😁🤣 unfortunately for me I'm stack with ant A22 hmm
@IceChris_ my local shopkeeper rocking an s10. I told him if I get ultra i will sell him the 24+ for £300.
24 ultra is still over £1200 in legit stores though.
I tried a few local shops but they try sell refurbished as new.
@@rusty5078 okay cool
Don't even consider the s24+ unless you can get the Snapdragon model
I agree 😅
Why? 🤔
this ! i knew that the 24u is gonna be quite a hassle with the bulky build but here 24+ doesnt come with snpdrgn ..
S24+ was best choice for anyone who don't need unnecessary features like stylus and camera
sadly, the way they put different chip on S24+ for same price
is basically like they forcing people outside America to go for ultra,
it's kinda lame I think 😅
If Samsung don't change that 3X zoom camera to a better better one next year I'll not buy another one again. That 10 mp camera is so weak, so weak that it looks like digital zoom when compared to other flagship phones.
Watching this on my S10plus waiting to find a reason to trade in😂
I am getting the S24+ because it is more "ultra" than "+" and at a lower price point. I don't really care about the Exynos vs Snapdragon debate because rwal-life usage matter more than benchmarks.
bruh how is it more "ULTRA" ? And do you get exynoshit or snapdragreat?
@@jokast8861 Its nearly identical to the ultra, I have it. But I do have the snapdragon version so that changes things.

Top!
All s24 have screen and camera issues. And still not fixed and probably will never be. Just check some forums. So they are not worth buying at all.
The grainy white balance is fixed on the S24+. It bothered me but software update allowed my to tweak it. All is good.
@@willl.3353 nothing fixed on s24u. Banding is still horrible.
Neither... Should Purchase A Rather More Reasonable Priced SAMSUNG GALAXY A Series...

It's grim how left behind the S24 is this year. No upgrades whatsoever.
If the S24+ is only available as exynos for your region, then don't get it
Shut up clown 🤡
If you're going to spend this much money on a phone, you might as well plunge for the Ultra. The cameras on the Plus are a bit underwhelming for a grand, at least hardware wise.
I have it and I agree, but in any situation with a decent amount of light they perform identical to the ultra so theres really not that much of a difference. Unless you do low light of course
But then you get a grainy display in lower brightness
@helterskelzer3883 I own the s24+ and it's not grainy at all. I saw videos mentioning it but mine is just fine. Looks the same as my brothers Ultra
All the ultras have the grain in lower brightness
S24 series have display issue
Smartphones are really becoming quite boring
Make smartphones great again
yeah since 2022 theyre getting boring tbh
Cry about it.
Yes
Yeah, it's so boring to have such a useful machine in your pocket😅
With S24+ 350£ discount, its a no brainer. S24+ 512gb on the way 😊
Prefer the Ultra, Prefer the shape. Also I'd rather have all the bells & whistles the Ultra has.
👍

How?
S23 s camera is better than s24 plus, I am using both
how come that be

Sorry, but after my wonderful s3 s4 s7 s9s & s10, you Samsung, left me for pure profit with no care for customer desires. I have turned to Sony with sd cards & headphone jacks. I'll miss you & your Samsung Pay and your wonderful phones. It took a lot, but you left me. Now I get to try Sony for a while.
And how was the Sony and which one did you get??
I even considered the Moto G Power 5G 2024 because I was not going to lose the sd & hph-jack but I am spoiled by Flagships. I am on my Galaxy s10 now, but my company is buying me a Sony Xperia 1 VI. Obviously I have to wait for September 15th. I will miss the Samsung Pay and have to put up with the glitchy Google Wallet.
P.S. I will be in Switzerland & Thailand this year and I will take my beloved Galaxy s10 (which will work flawlessly outside the USA) rather than my brand new Sony, as I really do love Samsung's Pay (& other software), but my s10 is not keeping up with the USA's continual shutdown of frequencies
The biggest problem I have with Sony is the lack of availability around the world. You better have spare cases and screen protectors lmao
Exynos 2400 gives us no choice 😂 easy pick
They gotta bring back the curve display like s23 ultra it's not too flat and not too curved either. Even a 100$ phone has a flat display its the signature curved display made look Samsung s series phones more premium
Buy the s23 ultra much cheaper gets all the AI features that s24 ultra gets.
S24 ultra is one of samsungs worst upgrades ever, not only nothing is new in camera but the battery is the same or slightly worse, so you think well the new AI is a good upgrade , but no no s23 ultra got it too so what other improvements are left ? The flat screen ? The titanium material ? The 2600 nits ?? Yeah i'm sure everyone will need this features 😂
I can't stand the post processing from Samsung cameras, if only we could fully disable it we could really see the power of these cams
S23 plus has exynos which impact negatively photo processing.

I've never had a phone longer then 18 months. Watching on my new S24+ I'll keep it till my wife figures out my passcode 😂
It doesn't matter it's just a phone
Buy none, their cameras are not flagship level in 2024 and both are overpriced.
Why'd you assume everyone cares that much about the camera? It offers so much more.
