I got my 24+ a couple days ago. I freaking love this phone! Slapped one of the Samsung antireflective screen protectors on it and this works. I'd say just as good as the 24 ultra referencing all the videos I've seen on its capabilities in screen glare. I'm almost saddened that I'm trading in my 23 ultra for this phone, but the size and especially the weight are what motivated me to do it. This phone is about 2mm shorter than the iPhone 15PM and it's almost the same width, but much lighter. Noticeably lighter. The lack of S-Pen and all the extra lenses on the 23 ultra are not important to me. This phone is the sleeper of the year!

"So glad to hear that Samsung is finally giving us QHD+ on a plus size model." Bro! Samsung phones have ALWAYS had QHD+ since the S6. Samsung decided to downgrade to 1080p starting with the S21. I'm surprised they brought it back. It was lame they even downgraded. 🤦♂️
I upgraded from the S21Ultra to the S24Ultra and have no regrets at all. I MUCH prefer the flat display over the curved edges. Sure, it was neat when it came out, but I'm happy that it's flat again. The squared corners don't bother me at all, as the cases all reduce that sharpness a bit. As mentioned, the amount of anti-glare the S24U has is freaking amazing! I'm in the states and have AT&T, so I got $1k towards the new phone, and an upgrade to 512MB of storage, so it was an easy decision for me to just jump to the new ultra again.
I, too, am upgrading from S21 Ultra and am getting a similar promotion from my cell carrier. I am still debating between the S 24 Ultra and S 24+. Do you use the stylus much? If so, what are the cons of using it if any? Thanks.
As someone that got the ultra, get the plus if you value viewing angles indoors. Yes you will have far better glare reduction on the ultra but if you view slightly off angle it turns green and dim like you're looking through polarized sunglasses. My s20 fe looks better when viewed off axis and that is atrocious. The victus 2 on the plus model will not have this issue as it is a glossy finish. I also find the s pen neat but totally fucking pointless on a day to day basis. I will miss wifi 7 and the 200 mp camera. Sad that I have to choose between glossy finish and camera.
A screen protector is essential for expensive phones like the S24 Ultra, s24 plus or any other premium device, as I saw a video where the screen had minor scratches already on s24 ultra. However, when you use a screen protector on the S24 Ultra, the reflection is more pronounced compared to without one, as shown in your previous video. So, in my opinion, this isn't a significant point to consider when it comes to the S24 Ultra.
I wouldn't call an anti reflective display a massive advantage. People have gotten through the day without them since smartphones got released. I personally cant justify the extra 300 for the ultra. The titanium frame and stronger glass on the ultra are negated by a case and screen protector, the cameras on the plus are good enough for me. Im not a photographer.
Samsung hit a home run this year with the s24 lineup. You know they did something right when everyone fighting on which is better to have lol. I think for everyone it's situational. I can no longer work so getting the ultra would not be necessary for me or as affordable either so the s24+ is fantastic and doesn't feel much like a downgrade from the ultra. Yeah of course I would have loved the ultra but circumstances dictated otherwise but still the s24+ is a very satisfying step down from the ultra and it makes me feel like I'm not missing much 😊
I can sum that up in one sentence. Exynos chips are significantly worse in every way. The ultra compared to an exynos s24 plus is star wars level tech. If you are in a country were exynos is used and you can afford it, get the ultra. In America I'd say get the plus. The difference between the are negotiable at best
If anyone is having second thoughts on buying the ultra 24 because of the box shape, just buy a case with rounded corners. I did and it works out fine.
Hi, i have the S24Ultra since 25th, works flowless and now i got the S24+ also so i can actually see them shoulder to shoulder. I really like the S24+ design, but in my region we get the Exynos version and honestly, i dont know which to keep :( ...
Hi i was in store to see s24U - its uncomfortable to use in one hand ... So i will choose the s24+ , but also in my country exynos .... So as you had both.... Can u give an experience of use in case about mobile operator signal on Exynos , in other videos they may have problems ( also whe yousing an internet 3G get signal in the same place when with SD its 4G/5G) ? And maybe yours experience's in other cases....
S24 plus from an A10, or S10? One of those would be considered a big upgrade, and the other would be like seeing for the first time after being blind all your life.
I did the same and I am learning more towards the S24+ for this reason. I don't really use the S-pen much and the 100X space zoom is just a cool gimmick and it not something most people would use.
I bought my current Galaxy s21 Ultra in 2021 because my previous 2019 one got so hot it literally blew up. Like a bomb. I took the leftover bomb into Costco to buy a new one, and they made me mail it into Samsung, and I got credit. SO, my current s21 Ultra just started getting hot 80% of the time. Not even using it. ouch, scary. I can't risk having the battery higher than 40%. I have to trade it in now because it's going to blow up any day like the last one. I'm watching all the TH-cam videos to choose a new model, and I prefer the Plus because of the rounded corners to slip it in my pant pockets without ripping the cloth, & no 's pen'. I wish the Plus had the non-glare screen, but it's not worth the other 2 issues. Thanks for your awesome videos!!!!! You can see how much I appreciate them! Is there any way you can get the phones to stop heating up after 2-3 years? Am I the only one? What am I doing wrong?
Buy the Ultra, hands down. Trade in your old phone, and you can get amazing buys on Samsung's phones. You do mention this to your credit. Having owned a S20 Galaxy + and now the S22 Ultra, there really is no comparison. The S24+ is a great phone, no doubt, but the Ultra is the Lexus of phones. For example, DXOMark just rated the S24 Ultra as the best display it has ever tested. One can reasonably argue that the display on the S22 Ultra is the best smartphone display the world has ever seen. The S24 Ultra also has the best battery life of any top-tier smartphone. It even beats the iPhone 15 Pro Max in battery life. The S24 Ultra is worth the extra $300.00.
Fun fact, back in the early days of the Galaxy phones, the exynos chip was actually superior in most aspects, especially performance. Funny how the tables turned
I remember too it's a shame Samsungs chips aren't as good. It's bad for those who don't live in the snapdragon regions. I'm sticking with my s23 for a while.

I put the official anti-reflective screen protector on my S24+ and it looks SO much better. It's like 90+% of the way there to the S24 Ultra. Highly recommend it. Not for drop protection since it's a film, but for microscratch protection, preservation of your oleophobic coating, and the anti-reflective properties.

Same here! As an S22 Ultra user, my experience with a slightly smaller phone has been amazing so far. I actually prefer the comfortable design of the S24+ compared to the S24 Ultra.
Hey there just letting ya know the S24 & S24 + do UHD 120FPS in pro video as well as 4K 60 on all cameras I don't know if it was an update but just letting ya know :)
I wanted the plus this year however, in Europe we have the Exynos which is inferior in everyway to the Snapdragon chip. A big FU by Samsung to its customers outside of the US. Additionally I’m not a fan of the design of the Ultra or the spen. However due to the fact that the chip is better and the camera selection is better on the Ultra I ended up buying the ultras Samsung really needs to just give the plus everything the ultra has bar the spen.
I got the S24 Ultra and I love it, but I chose this one cuz I life in the EU and I hate Exynos CPUs. Everything is good on this phone, but the design isn’t good for its durability. I got my upper corner on the right side chipped, with a phone case. Felt very bad for this damage, but I forgot about it a still love it.
I just received the S24 Ultra and I'm considering replacing it if the display glitch, (stuck on the muted Natural mode-Vivid mode does nothing), isn't fixed before my return window expires. Hearing rumors that the "stuck on natural mode" fix may not happen soon, if at all. The VZW and Samsung CSRs are uninformed. Considering leaving Samsung for Apple's iPhone 15 Pro Max or Google's Pixel 8 Pro. Your thoughts? Note to self....NEVER buy a just-released product again! Wait until the bugs are worked out!
S24 Plus has a better design, but only S24 Ultra uses Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in Europe. Here they had some insane deals if you trade in your phone, free double storage (useful for getting 1TB) and 10% off discount. You can also claim a free Galaxy Watch 6 and get Galaxy Buds 2 for a much lower price. So it was a no brainer!
I got a S24+ on contract here in South Africa. As such, there was an add-on feature for the Tab S9 FE with 6GB of data a month for only R100 a month more (about 4 British pounds). Not bad paying 150 pounds in total for a tablet that retails here for about 550 pounds.
i have a s24 Plus exynos. Its fast and snappy, battery is good and doesn't get hot, but if your a gamer, some graphic intensive games are not optimised compared to snapdragon and also the read/write to storage is a bit slower.
Ofcourse your S22 battery has been degraded over time and usage. The battery in the S24 is brand new and not degraded yet. Is it really a fair comparison then ? Yes, I believe the S24's batterylife is greater than that of a new S22 back then, but maybe not as huge as you now sem to think it is because your S22 is already "elderly". Know what I'm saying ?
S24 plus because I didn't wanna pay 300 dollars more. Plus now sizes pretty much the same. Battery pretty much the same and now qhd on the screen this is a beast . My pics are great . Although I use to be a note user loved my S-pen not worth 300 dollaars
Honestly if only the s24 plus had the 200mp main sensor of the ultra, then I'm willing to give up the 5x zoom, the gorilla armor, spen for it. Or just remove the ultra wide and replace it with only the wide sensor, then 3x then 5x lol but I know that's not going to happen. 😁 🤣 Atleast put the 108 mp of s22 ultra to the s24 plus lol.
@@jokast8861 I'm gonna get the ultra I don't have a choice lol I like the body of the s24 plus and I don't like the spen but I like the 200 mp cam and the 5x plus the anti reflective coating. @@Voltar78 yes there is. the binning is different, the sensor size is different, the isp is different even the aperture and pixels. it's better. that's why I chose it.
I recommend it personally! I got the official anti reflective screen protector for my S24+ as part of the pre order goodies and I love it. It's basically takes away the point of getting an S24 Ultra with an anti reflective screen.
ive been using samsung phones for 6 years now and the entire S24 line has washed out colors, its bugged and locked to the Natural color pallet, vivid doesnt work and it looks bad, i noticed it the second i turned on the phone. Samsung already made an announcement they will fix this soon
The issue with the vivid mode, is on the whole S-24 series. And that proves that the issue with vivid mode, has nothing to do with the anti-reflective coating.

Are y'all rich? Holy cow!
That's crazy and I think having a android and Iphone is better. But it's personal preference at the end of the day.
"So glad to hear that Samsung is finally giving us QHD+ on a plus size model."
Bro!
Thanks.
Galaxy S24+ for me ❤🎉
As someone that got the ultra, get the plus if you value viewing angles indoors.
Ordered the s24+, wanted the extra zoom but ultra too expensive and boxy...
There is a protector from Samsung that has the same anti reflective coating
Which make more glares.@@fretboardrunner
@fretboardrunner it's not a glass protector though
@@admorris11 - Doesn't NEED to be glass, geez!
Please suggest me Honor magic 6 pro or Samsung s 24 plus? Which is best for daily use?
I wouldn't call an anti reflective display a massive advantage. People have gotten through the day without them since smartphones got released. I personally cant justify the extra 300 for the ultra. The titanium frame and stronger glass on the ultra are negated by a case and screen protector, the cameras on the plus are good enough for me. Im not a photographer.
Just got a s24 plus today I love it
Samsung hit a home run this year with the s24 lineup. You know they did something right when everyone fighting on which is better to have lol. I think for everyone it's situational. I can no longer work so getting the ultra would not be necessary for me or as affordable either so the s24+ is fantastic and doesn't feel much like a downgrade from the ultra. Yeah of course I would have loved the ultra but circumstances dictated otherwise but still the s24+ is a very satisfying step down from the ultra and it makes me feel like I'm not missing much 😊
@@Anamae5451 agree 100%
Which screen protector would be recommended for the ultra?
I decided to get the 24+ with a trade deal because of the nicer design. I still have my 23 ultra, which is similar to the 24 ultra
It would be great if you could compare it with s24plus exynos version
I can sum that up in one sentence. Exynos chips are significantly worse in every way. The ultra compared to an exynos s24 plus is star wars level tech. If you are in a country were exynos is used and you can afford it, get the ultra. In America I'd say get the plus. The difference between the are negotiable at best
So will the screen protectors also be low glare or will they completely ruin the low glare
If anyone is having second thoughts on buying the ultra 24 because of the box shape, just buy a case with rounded corners.
I did and it works out fine.
It actually fit with square corners 🎉😂
Where?

Great video mate, I think I'm sold on the S24 Ultra with the non reflective display even though I'll hardly ever use the spen
Just ordered s24ultra for me and my wife..it will be delivered tomorrow 🎉🎉
What's coming in tomorrow? The phone or the wife?
Hi, i have the S24Ultra since 25th, works flowless and now i got the S24+ also so i can actually see them shoulder to shoulder. I really like the S24+ design, but in my region we get the Exynos version and honestly, i dont know which to keep :( ...
Why not both if you can? I am also having this struggle. I love my S24+ design but I also love my S24U's anti reflective display.
Hey Mark, i love your video channel cus its very informative and you give your final decision which viewers need! Good job for getting new subscriber😊
I just got the Samsung s24 plus after years of putting up with my a10 lol really happy with it
S24 plus from an A10, or S10? One of those would be considered a big upgrade, and the other would be like seeing for the first time after being blind all your life.
300 dollars more the Ultra is just too much. I'm gonna go with the S24 Plus.
Nooooooooo go wit the Ultra trust me
It's worth it! I have zero regrets and 7 years of update support.
I ordered the 24 plus and ultra. However, I don’t think the difference is worth $330 in my case.
From Australia Thanks for this info.
Fun fact, back in the early days of the Galaxy phones, the exynos chip was actually superior in most aspects, especially performance. Funny how the tables turned
Yes, I remember that. I had a Note 2 and a Note 4. ;-) Pity about the bootloop problem the Note 4 had after some wretched firmware update !
I remember too it's a shame Samsungs chips aren't as good. It's bad for those who don't live in the snapdragon regions. I'm sticking with my s23 for a while.

There is nothing wrong with being patient and waiting. I went from a Galaxy Note 2 as my first smartphone to a Note 4 and then an S7 Edge. Go figure how much patience I have when only now did I buy an S24 Ultra ! And to be honest, I'm keeping that S24 at home while still using my S7 Edge outside because it's still doing everything I want it too. I just gave myself a present to play with at home. ;-)@@MatthewLetendre
Can you use S23U cases for S24U? Seems about the same phone.
No. The S24U is shaped differently.
You could but it won't fit right. The camera holes won't align properly
My S24 Ultra just arrived upgraded from Note 8. Reason buying because i'm a mobile artist.
Yes, but the anti-reflective display doesn’t work with the screensaver so what good is it?
6:55 - 7:06 Lol, I do that. I love taking photos so when I see photos that I like on social media, of course I'm going to click, zoom and take a closer look. 😂
The 24+ is bright enough that even in direct sunlight and using dark mode I can still see everything so it really doesn't matter that much.
I also got those for my S24+ as part of the pre order goodies.
@@jacobperez8921yeah so did I but you know I ended up putting a glass screen protector on it cuz I thought that was a better protection than a film
Nice vid!! Probably the only person I know who loves the camera quality on my phone and look for the best and also zoom in on people's pictures.

Nice video Mark, and I had to get both of them when I saw them, buddy. "Awesome!" 👊
Good review ……would LOVE to see a review of S24+ vs Oneplus 12 as it seems to me these two models in particular are in the almost exact same class (esp. form factor) so it would be really interesting to see which is the better one overall ….
oneplus are known for their display issues I really love the phone but display issues are a killer for me
Got an S24 Ultra on the 1st June. So this is my first week and it's absolutely fantastic. What a screen and the Battery life is truly awesome.
Haven't put a screen protector on yet. Trying to see if there's onenthat doesn't spoil the screen.
Its OK. I got bank phone insurance!
Does the S24+ have a pen?
Best comparison video 🔥
Super helpful video! Thank you 👏
I have the s24 plus with snapdragon processor. I love this phone it's a beast! Battery last a day and a half between charges. Coming from a s21 plus it was a good upgrade.

How do u find out what chip set I have ?
There is no longer an option to change the notification sound in the Messages app on the S24 Plus. Why was it removed ?
No, it's still there but needs to be activated.

Pretty sure you can in settings?
I went with the Plus
Same here! As an S22 Ultra user, my experience with a slightly smaller phone has been amazing so far. I actually prefer the comfortable design of the S24+ compared to the S24 Ultra.
If using the ultra for making videos, is there any advantage or would the plus be just as good. For utube.
Plus is perfectly awesome like watching youtube videos.
Hey there just letting ya know the S24 & S24 + do UHD 120FPS in pro video as well as 4K 60 on all cameras I don't know if it was an update but just letting ya know :)
Interesting information.... You can also switch while recording the video on different cameras ?
I wanted the plus this year however, in Europe we have the Exynos which is inferior in everyway to the Snapdragon chip. A big FU by Samsung to its customers outside of the US. Additionally I’m not a fan of the design of the Ultra or the spen. However due to the fact that the chip is better and the camera selection is better on the Ultra I ended up buying the ultras
Samsung really needs to just give the plus everything the ultra has bar the spen.
Love the pluse but I'll go with the ultra
I got the S24 Ultra and I love it, but I chose this one cuz I life in the EU and I hate Exynos CPUs. Everything is good on this phone, but the design isn’t good for its durability. I got my upper corner on the right side chipped, with a phone case. Felt very bad for this damage, but I forgot about it a still love it.
S23U to 24 Plus and not minding the "minor" changes. Lovin it!
The update for de Vivid mode is planned for the 22 februari. And not every S24U having these issues.. I have not a single issue with the S24U..
Hi guys, is there a reliable website for the people in Europe to buy the S24+ (Snapdragon version)? And does it have to be an unlocked one?
Pity no replies here yet, as I have the same question as you.
Watching this review in my new S24 plus. Absolutely love it so far!!!
Super helpful - Budget resisted me to get s24+
i have a s24 Plus exynos. Its fast and snappy, battery is good and doesn't get hot, but if your a gamer, some graphic intensive games are not optimised compared to snapdragon and also the read/write to storage is a bit slower.
@MarksTech What is the slot at the bottom of the phone no one talks about it
Great video thank you for uploading! Going with the ultra because I mostly use my phone outside! 😃
I've only had my S24+ for a couple of days but the battery life already blows away my old S22+. Over 7 hours SOT from a single charge.
@@sophietarafionabtw you prefer plus or ultra

How are the haptics on s24 plus (compared to iphone 15 pro max)? No one is talking about it.
S24 plus because I didn't wanna pay 300 dollars more. Plus now sizes pretty much the same. Battery pretty much the same and now qhd on the screen this is a beast . My pics are great . Although I use to be a note user loved my S-pen not worth 300 dollaars
The Samsung s24 plus is the best galaxy this year
How about stabilization for filming with s24 plus compare to s24 ultra?
Are the pointed corners on the Ultra uncomfortable in your pocket?
I went for the plus bc I prefer the style, I would have preferred the ultra camera though. Still a nice upgrade from the s20
So you wanna get plus or ultra
@@jokast8861 I'm gonna get the ultra I don't have a choice lol I like the body of the s24 plus and I don't like the spen but I like the 200 mp cam and the 5x plus the anti reflective coating. So it's the ultra for me, if only those were present in the plus or atleast the main and the 5x, I couldn't care less about the titanium and the spen.
There is no big difference between 50 and 200 mpx
@@Voltar78 yes there is. the binning is different, the sensor size is different, the isp is different even the aperture and pixels. it's better. that's why I chose it.
Didn't know Charlie day was doing phone reviews
What do you think about getting the S24 Plus then putting on a $5-10 extra-thin anti-glare tempered glass? 🤔
I recommend it personally! I got the official anti reflective screen protector for my S24+ as part of the pre order goodies and I love it. It's basically takes away the point of getting an S24 Ultra with an anti reflective screen.
What's your take on the ultra vs the fold?
Don't buy the fold
Does a s24 ultra case fit the s24+ ?
No... Two different designs. The plus has rounded edges compared to the flat edges of the ultra
@@rolltide3333ify thanks
Of course not.
ULTRA all the way babe!
The plus does not have a titanium frame. People need to read the differences because the ultra is a all around better device.
ive been using samsung phones for 6 years now and the entire S24 line has washed out colors, its bugged and locked to the Natural color pallet, vivid doesnt work and it looks bad, i noticed it the second i turned on the phone. Samsung already made an announcement they will fix this soon
Can't we get that antireflective screen and apply it on s24+?
The free storage upgrade is no longer available
That was until the 31st of january 2024
I wish they’d make phones a little smaller, I’m not a big fan of these new brick sized phones.
The issue with the vivid mode, is on the whole S-24 series. And that proves that the issue with vivid mode, has nothing to do with the anti-reflective coating.
Hey dude !! I did all whaat you asked!!!🎉🎉🎉
QHD already existed on s20 did they remove it from s23??? Tried to see the reflection difference between them, it wasnt that big of a deal
