    It feels like Logitech has lost their way. I remember the days of the Logitech G5 mouse, I bought it for 50 euros and it was the best mouse on the market. When it broke after 4 years and I didn't have the receipt they just shipped me a new one and asked for me to return the old one so they can inspect it. They also did this for some speakers I had. Somewhere along the line tho their quality started dropping both on hardware and customer support. I had a G603 (I think) wireless mouse which had double clicking issues despite me not using it much, but after 4 years no warranty (despite it being a well documented issue) and they only offered me a 25% discount on their overpriced store. Also one of their headsets broke at the shitty plastic hinge after just 2 years and I also didn't get any warranty on that. I'm noticing issues with my G pro wireless as well, and it's also out of warranty.
    I'm super happy with my Drunkdeer A75 hall effect keyboard that cost me 120 euros. Best keyboard I've had hands down, and very comparable to the Wooting (just not the best software). These days I'm not looking at Logitech as a first choice anymore, especially at the premium they're asking for budget gear.

Politely asking how should we proceed now. The response and service I get will be noted. As a result, there are manufacturers whose products I am prepared to pay a premium for, and other manufacturers whose products must be less expensive than the competition available for me to even consider purchasing.

      Not exactly.
      What happened was that they got complacent and then got bloated incapable of adapting to change quickly. People who ACTUALLY design and create said things that genuinely care about what they make (not the faceless corporation you see slapping their logo on stuff) realized how hard that would be to change and jumped ship. Faceless corporation went "sad to see you go" shrugged and is now facing the consequences of that 5-8 years later as technology continues to advance and they don't have the necessary talent pool to drive that innovation quickly enough. I'm old enough to have seen this happen twice and I laugh every time it happens.

      Honestly, what did they even EXPECT with this keyboard?
      The first time I’ve ever seen this keyboard is by HipyoTech’s review. It was absolutely so insane, hilarious, and especially disappointing from a big brand like Logitech to even produce something LIKE this. It looks very basic, and I bet it feels basic as well.
      There’s no KEYCAP or SWITCH puller, and for the keyboard modders out there, if you wanted to hotswap it for different keycap, you literally can’t. You can’t switch to any other keycap if you tried.
      The software looks ridiculously mediocre and boring in my opinion. I gotta say, I have never been a fan of software. Hell, I have an Apex Pro Full from SteelSeries, and holy SHIT, it is annoying. The software has garbage I don’t use, in which the only thing I use is the “Engine” for the custom actuation points (Rapid trigger is included as well).
      Overall, for Logitech, they are in hot water, and I feel like it will only get worse in my opinion in the future if they keep releasing terrible stuff like this. For the epic of $180, being nearly the price of many high-tier keyboards today like the Wooting and some of its competitors, I find that so BS and hilarious that people would buy a keyboard that probably isn’t worth its high price tag.

    Someone had to say it and I'm glad you did. A few years ago, I decided to go with full-setup Logitech peripherals. The keyboard I chose was the G915 in full size. The letters and numbers on the keys started to fade after a few months. For the mouse I went with the G Pro X Superlight which had some issues with the scroll wheel where I would try to scroll down but it would scroll up instead. I received a replacement mouse but it had issues with the clicks. Holding down the clicks for more than 2 seconds will result in them releasing even though I was still holding them. The third replacement was lucky, it only has some wobble but it's acceptable. The headset I bought was the wired G Pro X and after three months the sound in the left side was more pronounced than in the right one, and a week later the sound in the right side completely disappeared. I purchased the G Pro X v2 wireless headset and they make a sound as if something is scratching inside, randomly, like a popping/cracking noise. This was the last product I bought from Logitech.

      i had been using a corsair hs70 wireless headset i bought when i got my first gaming pc a few years ago. when i finally tried to upgrade last year - knowing much more about pc gaming at that point - i tried the g pro x v2, partially for convenience since i was still using logitech m&k. only having to use one piece of software was alluring. however, at 100% volume on *everything* the audio was muffled & surprisingly quiet. yes, firmware/software was up-to-date & g hub was functioning as expected otherwise. returned to place of purchase to swap out & had the same problem with the second unit. returned again for a refund & decided to try the very well-reviewed audeze maxwell headset. sound quality was fantastic on those, but they had a fatal flaw (imo) in which any video, song, or media source i tried would have zero volume for the first few seconds after play/pause with no apparent way to correct it. audeze customer support was arguably the worst i've ever encountered, unfortunately. after weeks of absurd back-and-forth emails, i was finally able to return the maxwell & eventually receive a refund. ended up replacing the battery on the aging corsair unit with a higher-density cell then replaced the ear cushions & am still using it daily. --- filed under "i'm frustrated and this is good enough lol."

      @sak-atWork 14 วันที่ผ่านมา +7

      That only lasts if they release quality stuff. They can stay afloat but they're going to lose market quick, as TH-camrs keep releasing these disses to them. (rFP, Badseed, etc.)

    I still cannot get how people buy keyboards for gaming that have no arrow keys. That is such a hard one for me.
    I bought and modified the 80% IQUNIX L80 and it is small enough for me to carry it around for work and then get home and game with both function keys and arrow keys.

    • @jond7691
      @jond7691 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I’m curious, what do you use the arrow keys for in gaming? I can’t think of a time for many years where a game has used arrows and not wasd or mouse movement in menus. If you need them, the advantage of the wooting is you can set different key behaviour based on depth and length of key press, with the optimum preset the bottom right 4 keys act as the arrow keys if you tap them, and their regular function if you long press them

      @@jond7691 Trackmania is something I started playing again actively. Also, I'm a developer and arrow keys are just a must. Plus a lot of games have UI which is really nice to navigate using arrow keys.
      There are plenty of games I just can't remember all as of rn. But for me arrow keys are a must

    • @jond7691
      @jond7691 14 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Fair enough, I generally use a controller for racing games so I would be ignorant on that one. I’m a DBA and I use the wooting no problem day to day, the tap keybinds work perfect as arrow keys, you’re right I wouldn’t be able to use it for work without some form of arrow keys. But it’s all personal preference, if you have what you like and works for you, that’s awesome.

    The Key Control feature is actually KEY REMAPPING. Logitech has NEVER had this feature and only offered it on keyboard that had the extra macro keys on the side and even then they only had this feature for those specific keys. This is their first keyboard that allows you to remap almost any key. Corsair has had this feature for almost a decade also I would like to point out Corsair has a keyboard (K70 Max) that uses magnetic switches with a variable actuation point and the rapid trigger feature you speak of and the ability to map TWO keystrokes to the same key for example doing a light press on the "W" key would make the player walk in a game but holding it down further can make the player run instead

    I had a G710+, it was amazing, eventually broke - soldered cherry browns so I didn't repair.
    Got a G815, still wanted rotary volume control and fullsize. Other than RGB it was pretty much worse in every way. Macro recording in software had a delay where the old one was instant. Even typing on it now it does some weird hitches and stuff.
    They've lost a customer if this 'pro' X60 is the best they can think of.
