I actually passed it up and walked past it thinking he would want a lot of money. Then I said I’m gonna go back and ask how much. When he said $8, I didn’t even hesitate

You should publish a list of tools you need to complete a set/s. I have tons of old Craftsman wrenches, sockets, and other brands that I was going to donate to charity. But if I have something you need, it's yours.

Hi Mr. Tom! I appreciate it brother! Nice haul... love the tape, crescent wrench and Phillip's woodhandle.. which I try to only buy those now instead of the flatheads.. unless of course that have the shank all the way thru the handle! Again appreciate the shout and hope you enjoy the smoke! Have a good'un!

I went today but arrived at noon, picked up a Bonney C-38 alignment bar for $12. That was my only tool purchase, the rest was just computer media and Music CDs to flip on eBay. I did score a pair of free plastic folding table saw horses, at the end of the day. And a box of vintage pencils for Scout.

You always make out like a bandit Tom. I saw one of those model A offsets at a sale once, rusted all up and the guy wanted $40 for it. You got a lot of great stuff. You can’t go wrong with a vintage Crescent and I love that Wright compact 3/8 tootsie roll!!! 😃👍🏼

Hell os a shopping trip. The Lawson is a great tool. I restored a smaller Pexto and it is very nice. The.Crescent is outstanding and the Ridgid is also very nice. You definitely have an overall bargain. Oh, the Craftsman tape is very cool.

Thanks for the tip! My driveway is definitely in need of being recoated. I didn't know you could get asphalt patch in a tube! I've always used the little bucket and a putty knife, it's a miserable and messy job, especially on a sunny day. The caulk gun seems like the perfect tool to drive it deep in the crack and not get covered from the elbows down. I'm going to order some today, thanks much!

I use both depending on the size of the cracks. Just like paint work it’s all in the prep!

I have those EXACT Kreuters! (My dads) unfortunately the cutting edge on mine is beat to hell, but I cleaned them up nice and always keep them in my truck (for sentiment / good luck and emergencies) I love the faceting on the jaws.

Nice haul!! I would grind or file that chip and match it on the side of the wrench, then fiber wheel is smooth to make it look like it was made that way. Cool wrench even with the chip. 👍

Great haul! It’s too bad there was a chip in that pipe wrench. The good news is that you can put that welder of yours to work. Build up a small weld bead, and then grind it smooth with your grinder and it’ll work as good as new👍

That silicon gun , I've one I've had for 20 plus years , even made to compress 40 metal tubes of sikaflex deck caulking jointing stuff . It was two years out of date , worked perfectly ... Nothing else woulda got it out the tubes . Tubes were just 5!inches long when done !

The Model A wrench is one of five wrenches provided with the new car. I like the Vintage Sears Craftsman 93588 Heavy Duty Hack saw; worth $18.00. A new Cresent 15" adjustable wrench is worth $43.00. Great tool haul.

I don't disagree with it, but you really have to admire the marketing of Craftsman. We all regard them as Great American tools that we grew up with. The reality is that they were the very first corporate raider. They were financial bullies, they never once produced a single thing, yet used their size to put many other companies out of business. They engaged in practices very similar to what Amazon is being accused of lately, essentially copying the products they are contracted to offer. All of us get upset about offshoring and the sale of brand names whose reputations we have come to trust. I think Craftsman had a bigger chunk of the market than Amazon does today, they were certainly guilty of a handful of antitrust violations. Yet here we are, 20 years later, and we all have fond memories of Craftsman, it's association with good American tools completely dwarfed their business practices. I'm not 100% positive, but I believe Sears was the first company to offshore American brand names. They were certainly the first to do it above a certain scale. Can you imagine a kid growing up today looking back at Amazon as being part of the fabric of American culture? I would guess not. I have only ever heard good things about Sears Craftsman with the exception of people who have contracted with them. I've never heard a single good thing from these people. Admittedly, it's a very small sample group. But I still think this is fascinating, that we can have such drastically different impressions of the same corporate behavior separated only by a very short period of time.
