One more comment if i may Tom. All the USA made tools that you decide you do not want - at least put them in the rust cleaning solution & give them a quick brushing then after drying them off use one of ScoutCrafter's magic potions to put good long term rust protection on them & put them up for sale. There are MILLIONS of us out here who love made in USA tools that do not have easy access to yard sales with tools. Most all yard/garage sales around my area is mainly housewares women's/children's clothes.

Very good video! when you were going through the Craftsman cutters and the little wooden Box I was saying I just sold some like that. You actually used my listing that sold it was the one that was on April 20th the one with 11 blades.

I have a set of Craftsman (Vise-Grips) not sure what they plate them with, it seems more like Nickel than Chrome.....Also have the Craftsman Molding Cutter Set, someone that has wore cutters or needs a certain profile will definitely buy those..........Also have the Chicago Cutlery Filet Knife, not the greatest knife in the world but because of it being a kit it has pretty good value as you already found out...........That Robeson Pocket Knife might be my favorite of this haul, even on camera it has a heavy feel💪🤣...............Looks like some challenging cleanups in the mix but so often things turn out way better than you think when you start on restoring something, then at the end you're glad you did it.

What a great haul Tom! That Ridgid Aluminum wrench was worth the entire trip! Funny story- I once saw a pair of ELK pliers advertised on eBay, I quickly realized the ELK was the first three letters of KLEIN! The way it was written and the missing lower letters let me get those pliers for a song.. =D

The handle on that Proto scraper can be cleaned up pretty easy. Use a brass brush and some fine steel wool. I cringed when you said you were going to pull it apart. Those Proto tools with the yellow handles are cool, I have a couple and alway keep my eye out for more. Good score Tom, thanks.

That handle on that scraper can be saved. #scoutcrafter has some videos on it think it would be worth the effort. Great score on all the great stuff, I have a hard time throwing stuff that my be of some use. If the Allen pack is in good shape you can use the keys to replace the Allen keys in sockets.
Sad that there are people who want to jack things up for the good people, don’t let it get you down, and we won’t let them get to us or our stuff. 🤪😂

What a great haul Tom. You made out big time. The acetate handle on that scraper can be restored. I've done a couple videos on tools with similar handles and they came out pretty decent.

Don't even stress man, it's every channel now. That's TH-cam's problem not yours. Hell, I think you can interpret it as a compliment; you've grown to a size that your audience is worth targeting. 45+ years ago My dad was smoking Raleigh cigarettes which came with two coupons in each pack and 10 coupons in each carton. I sent away for the catalog from Raleigh and encouraged my dad to smoke more and give me the coupons so I could send away for a set of Omega pliers. My first set of tools, which I wanted for my electronics hobby. I still have and use to this day the needle nose, the duckbills and ignition pliers!!!

FWIW, those Craftsman "blades" are molding head cutters, similar to a dado cutter for a radial or table saw.

Nice haul! Those cutters that were in the box are for making molding on a table saw. The blades attach to a molding head and you attach that on the table saw instead of a blade. They work pretty good, but they aren't for the faint of heart as they are loud and can be dangerous if the right safety precautions aren't used. There are several TH-cam videos that show how it's used.

Sorry to see all the rust. The Stanley 100 screwdrivers, Klein linesman pliers, aluminum pipe wrench, Klein 9" heavy duty diagonal cutters, Malco M2003 aviation aluminum/tin snips, 4 pairs of vise grips, Nicolson file, two adjustable Proto wrenches, Hyde scraper, Craftsman and Armstrong wrenches should all clean up nice after the rust removed via Evapo Rust. Overall, a great tool haul for $10.00!
I know evapo rust is very popular, but I'm sort of cheap. For heavy stuff I prefer citric acid but 90% of tools like those Allen wrenches, I throw them in an old 5 gallon rock tumbler with a bunch of porcelain dust and chunks. It seems to get all the oxidation off without necessarily removing rubber grips or scratching a satin chrome finish. Don't get me wrong, if you leave it in there for a few days, it will strip chrome. But it is such a clean dry process, I really don't understand why it's not utilized more. It certainly couldn't get any cheaper

The really long Allen keys, if you go to look up the value, they are often referred to as pulley hex keys for hopefully obvious reasons. You might be surprised by the values if they are American made. BTW, the folding kits of Allen keys that you showed are really picking up in value lately. I don't know if the appeal is that you can't lose them, but they went from a $3 standard flea market item closer to 10:00 this year
I love the knives! I grew up playing with and using one of the old imperial knives like you have. I found it in an old hunting cabin in well used condition. I lost the sheath along the way and cracked the handle trying to use it as a throwing knife. I still have it somewhere!

That brush, if you go to do research, the phrase of whitewash brush might be helpful. I have a strange old paintbrush that is five of those round-headed individual brushes stuck into tapered holes of a wooden rack that holds five of them. They were made out of boar hair I believe. I never thought much about it, but I had a guy over at my shop who is pretty convinced he has the world's largest whisk broom collection, he certainly knew more than I did. He got quite excited and said that it was very old and turn me on to the same term. I have not sold it yet, but I did find that it was worth over $70! I never would have valued it beyond being an interesting vintage handbroom. I did a fair amount of research but I could not find any explanation why a round brush would be ideal for whitewash, but I did learn that the design is pretty much standard in Asian countries and by extension Australia and New Zealand.

The ubiquitous Imperial H6 is a great knife, they're inexpensive and not worth much at all though because they made so many from the 50's-80's and they were dirt cheap new.
Prices have climbed up on Ebay, but they are not actually worth what many people are asking for them.
I thought the same when I saw the prices. Must be one of those sentimental nostalgia items.

Pretty much.
Back in the 50's you could get this knife on it's own, paired with their Kamp-King pocket knife, paired with the matching " hatchet " ( hatchet shaped knife ) , a set of all 3, and a rarer 3pc set which included a real hatchet.
Even their most expensive set would have been well under $5 at the time because they were a cheap dime store item, the steel is great though and they are actually a good knife.

The knife from Finland, the name is escaping me, but it's a very popular though inexpensive design for fishermen all over Scandinavia. I highly suggest you use it. It's a great example of form over function. It will not win beauty awards, but that click in the holster will never weaken and I think you will be surprised by the balance in the blades construction, it's very sharp and stays very sharp without a lot of maintenance. The usual rule of thumb is to use the inch closest to the handle for Bushcraft and keep the last four inches or so just for filets. They really are a great working knives
