- ARMA 3 is an action-packed FPS game full of grenades and rockets so who better to review it than our very own Explosives Experts Israel and Quinton. Today we’re looking at the importance of knowing your equipment as well as your opponents when it comes down to it. Also getting a basic understanding of how basic triage and medkits works in the field specifically focusing on the phrase ‘Stop the bleeding, Start the breathing’. Tune in for all that and more!
Bohemia Interactive developed and published ARMA 3 exclusively through the Steam service. In this tactical shooter video game, you explore a real-world open-world environment. There like many older games is a time jump that is about the 2030s. This time it is about the Aegean Islands of Altis and Stratis as well as the South Pacific Island of Tanoa, and a landlocked region of Livonia. A photo-realistic environment and terrain have been created on the islands.

This is great! But at 7:48, an NLAW - Swedish-British disposable rocket launcher is misidentified as a Javelin.
The bulbous ends on both sides, straight angle and lack of the Javelin's "tablet" signify this.
I can see how one would mistake it for a Javelin, not having been a user of it, but it's a real and very different weapon.
he likely assumed its a javelin since they were playing american soldiers.
There's a lot of mistakes in this video. Experts.. tsk tsk. Mostly expert in being complacent.

The 1st atgm is Saab nlaw, 2nd is mini spike, 3rd is rpg32 (unguided mpat launcher). Grenade launchers are m203, fn eglm, m320 in order.
I wonder why they keep doing these "expert" videos, while it seems they don't know anything about the stuff shown. The gun expert they have on is terrible about that. Not Jonathan though, I mean the one where they have the guy teamed up with another person.
They can still be experts on the subject and not know some types like i immediately noticed the law but i had forgotten about that rpg as its not commonly seen
@@CallsignWulf A lot of the stuff shown is realistic, but not representative of an actual thing. Like the A-164 Wipeout. Idealized version of the A-10.

I love the friendly competition the different Military Divisions have between each other. In Germany we hat a saying for our own divs. 'The Navy smells like sea water, the Army smells like ground water and the Airforce smells like Eau de Toilette.' I was in the Airforce, so I always smelled good haha. But it was all in good sport and when shit hits the fan, we always supported each other. Cheers.

8:00 the AT weapon in question is called a PCML, it’s one of the more basic AT weapons in the game, the one that’s closer to a Javelin is the Titan Compact ML
it is based on the British NLAW irl.
the only difference with the irl one is the NLAW is a single-shot disposable tube, while the PCML in-game can be reloaded.
@@nguyentrunghieu8806 Is the irl Nlaw wire guided? Cause the in game one is, at least i think wire guided is the term it follows where you point after firing anyway
@@PezzaHando in game as well as irl, the launcher is a PLOS (which stands for Predicted Line of Sight). It means you need to track the target for a few seconds for the electronic guidance systems to properly compute the target's speed and then you can fire and the missile will do the rest of the work. You can basically consider the NLAW a fire-and-forget system.
But for this method of locking on targets, the launcher is incapable of SACLOS (semi-automatic command line of sight, which is the method most wire guided launchers and some laser guided launchers use). So if you simply aim and fire the missile without locking on it would just go on until hitting something or when it have reached it's maximum range.
note: I'm not a weapon experts by any means, just a guy who is very fascinated about weaponry.
@@nguyentrunghieu8806 The real one does not have a wire. The previously versions did like "Robot 56 Bill", but not "Robot 57(NLAW)".
@@GamingPlug yep I have already stated that the NLAW uses PLOS and not SACLOS as many wire-guided launchers use.

I'm pretty sure the side ejecting, barrel mounted, grenade launcher y'all are talking about is the M320.
Replacement for the M203 because you can fire it by itself (comes with a retractable stock and sling points, but you gotta give up the stock if you wanna mount it to your barrel) 👌

The 3 shot underbarrel is based off the prototype Metal Storm 3GL, though it never saw action and wasn't an under barrel, the version in arma is effectively a scaled down variant.
There is only one piece of technology in Arma that isn't based off a real prototype, the Y-32.

2:38 it’s a M320 , we have it in the Army and I think the Marines have it too now. It’s a little heavier than the 203 but you can use this one as a stand alone weapon if you want. It has a pistol grip ,a foregrip and you can put a buttstock on it.

That Grenade Launcher they were referring to just after the 203 was the 320 (I know original right?). That weapon system cam either be Rifle mounted or by itself with its own Stock, depending upon the mission.
This makes Covid more bearable Everytime I come here and watch.

When I was in the USMC back in 2013, the M4 was a standard issue and it was also the first year the ACOG sights was standard with it. I believe the SCAR is being phased in now, not sure if that's accurate though.
I believe they're using the M27 now which is a variant of the HK416. We had M16s, M4s, and SAWs when I got out in 2010.

The luncher is a NLAW it is a guided AT4 to make it short. Used by Sweden and UK it is littlebit shorter in range and smaller armedhead then the Javelin but you have same options on topfire and direct impact.

I actually have a ton if the 6 in trauma bandages he pulled out and around 14 of the same tourniquets. A deceased army medic had alot still in his bags when it was all decommissioned for his daughter. Heck I've got ivs and the administration for ivs. Military medic gear is great for battlefield trauma.

Read about a British SF squDies being traine with the javelin and turned out he was the only man alive to have shot an aircraft out of the sky, he was infantry in falklands and picked up a javelin from one of the fallen and took a potshot at a mirAge that was coming in to strafe them and hit it. You should absolutely have martial artists react to EX actions from Judgement (or Judge Eyes). It's the game from creators of Yakuza and in many ways fighting choreography in Judgement is better than Yakuza
You guys should take a look at the Game SQUAD, which youve done before, but have a look at the Steel Division mod
a lot of mods are needed to make arma 3 a milsim: Ace, CUP, RHS, KAT, and a lot more

yeah, HEDP is High Explosive Dual Purpose. Effectively a HEAT round if I remember right. What he describes is a Tandem warhead.

Maybe someone can help me out here. I trained on the M203 in the Canadian Forces, and our leaf sights were attached to the 203 and when lifted were offset from the rifle, to either the right or left depending on which side was your dominant one. Is it different in the US Forces?

Isn't the launcher it shows at the end an FGM-172? I don't know if it uses the same ammo but it's clearly not an FGM-148, it doesn't have the bulk. The SRAW was meant to compliment the Javelin, but they aren't the same launcher. The SRAW is essentially meant to do the work of the AT4, but the Javelin has longer range and I would imagine is more applicable to heavy armor like MBTs, whereas I feel like the SRAW would perform best against an IFV

There are tons of stuff you could use for this episode...As a seasoned Arma player I'm disappointed. You could actually get footage of C4 charges,explosive satchels,claymore mines,anti-vehicle mines, AP mines and IEDs...It seems Gamology took easy way out for this episode
