You should check out Soviet womble's anistasi playlist. Without wanting to give away too much, it's a great series to discuss enemy combatants tactics and what kind of war crimes you could see terrorists commit overseas and what the militaries response to that would be.

4:40 they where not hallucinating, actually animals in arma are local to the game client so everyone sees different animals unless they are spawned in by the server, then everyone can see them.

fun fact, here in wales hiking and walking are the exact same thing whereas in Doncaster if i remember right has no real hills or valleys and is pretty much flat, so hiking and walking are extremely different over there
I believe the Doncaster joke was just taking the piss at someone from a different city, I don't think there is a specific stereotype of people from Doncaster
Might be a joke on their local geography too. Some places are flatlands, and some are more hilly or mountainous. If someone from Doncaster can confirm that their terrain is mostly flatlands, the joke might be explained by that.

I have to once again strongly recommend Rimmy's 40k Arma videos. They're amazingly funny, and the production quality is nuts.

4:44 he isn't hallucinating, their are entities in Arma that are entirely Client-side and as such don't appear to other players in the same places, those entities are exclusively critters like rabbits and snakes
Fun fact: grenades that completely miss their intended target are ZF standard issue.
And that they only damage allies in ZF
Sovietwomble also did an arma series called "seige at williow lake" which would probably be interesting to analyse their "tactics".

the rabbit is just client side environment for immersion. so the rabbit is there, for him, since it isn't shared by the server or any other player
I think you'd really enjoy Soviet's Antistasi series, they're more recent and even funnier than the other arma videos.
Rumor has it that videos including Edberg's singing clip(s) HAVE gotten copyright claimed because of how good and clear he sounds.
The whole thing with people seeing rabbits and snakes is because those are randomly spawned client side scenery

Haven't seen anyone point it out, but Ed's singing was acapella, Soviet added the base song afterwards. So yeah, not only he sung great, he did it in tempo by memory.

So I’m sure it’s been mentioned, if not, I can enlighten: there is no grope mechanic, that’s an idle animation where the characters is stretching their hands. And the animal “hallucinations” isn’t them hallucinating, in ArmA, for whatever reason, animals are client based, not server based, so they appear differently for every single person. It’s uh, an interesting idea. Also the missile missed cause they are terrible and don’t work correctly and I hate them and would rather take a basic RPG than an MPRL cause they are that garbage.
You say you would bring out a hat one seeing another tank, but we get no hat .

The reason Soviets missile went wonky was it follows his crosshair. While he was in first person he was fine, until he went into third person and was looking at the sky, it followed the direction of his crosshair. If he had of remained in first person he would have been fine.
I enjoy SovietWombles videos XD, Also I'd recommend other Arma 3 TH-camrs/Streamers, Funny videos that are similar to Soviet's videos which is Rubixraptor, Rimmy Downunder, and more serious is Lcpl. Liru and Operator Drewski, and I think Sorensic Steel.
The problem with heat in armored vehicles is why the Brits called their tanks "Tommy cookers" in North Africa. At least, that's what I heard.
You could check out Nordern’s Arma Antics. He does videos similar to Soviet, and even played with Soviet in his ep 7 video
I really hope this trend continues and he eventually watches all the Arma 3 videos. I can't wait for him to get to Antistasi.

To be fair with CAS, just saying "Adjust up" or "Adjust left" doesn't help at all. What we usually did on our sessions is to specify the distance to adjust to. Most of us were good enough to roughly adjust the guns int the direction of the enemy

The lowest bidder thing, shouldn't neccesarily mean substandard, if the contracts are done correctly. It specifically means the lowest bid for an item THAT MEETS THE SPECS. Meaning a properly done contract should set out what is required, what is considered unsatisfactory, and the penalties for failure to deliver. If you are recieving substandard products that fail to meet the standards, then either the contractor is responsible for cutting corners, or the military either failed to lay out proper specs to keep this from happening, or is failing to properly monitor its contractors for compliance before accepting the item. If both these things continue after discovering such failure, and the contracts continue despite this without any correction, then this is a major sign of corruption in the system. For examples, look at nearly every major military item procured in the last 20 years, and all the major contractors involved in that same period.
