Nah man, you're doing it the right way. Thanks for not talking throughout the entire song, and not stopping the song to share thoughts. You can tell by your facial expressions that you're getting it. Keep it up, and if they play any concerts by you, definitely go. They're shows are phenomenal!

@@medhead964 I respect your opinion, but I don't agree. I like when the song is stopped for comments, BUT, I also like for them to go back 10 seconds for continuity of the song.

Now that i have, Pneuma is one of my all-time favs, that guitar lick you mentioned as well as the interludes where Adam plays those sustained notes and Danny goes off both make me feel a sense of catharsis I've only ever felt after listening to songs like Lateralus or Pushit. My Tool journey has been fairly similar to yours. I took to Maynard over 5 years ago when introduced to Mer De Noms by A Perfect Circle, then Puscifer, but I hadn't really given Tool much interest since their music wasn't available digitally. That all changed beginning with the Fear Inoculum single, and subsequently album, and Tool vaulted up into my top 3 favorite bands (a list that almost never changes). Every track is a different experience...it's almost impossible to tap to their music with all the changes, but that's also what keeps my mind so engaged in their music. I'm seeing my first Tool concert in early February and can hardly wait! Somehow, I had completely missed out on their music up until recently. My current favorite tracks are 10,000 days and Invincible, but my favorite tracks have already changed numerous times since I began listening to them, including 7empest and many others.

It's the time signature changes that messes with your mind. For example when you hear the chorus to Fear Inoculum for the first time it sounds like it's off beat, but get familiar with the song a few times and magically it sounds perfect, what the hell?

At the 4:08 mark when Maynard comes back in you can hear some very very cool voice layering they did. There is a deep deep voice under Maynard's that adds so much when listening on a good system or headphones

Drew - new sub here so not sure if you've done this yet but if you haven't, check out Deftones - Passenger. Maynard sings in that one with Chino and its absolutely nuts. You mentioned driving music & I immediately thought of Passenger.

Hello, first time watcher of channel. This album is a huge grower and you'd be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't listen to the album. At the moment, Descending is the best for me (initially it was Invincible). Gotta listen to them all mate. They haven't spent 13 years for you to skip two of the main tracks (Culling Voices and Descending)!
    Anyway, cheers for the content.
