It's actually true. I'm a drummer and when you're absorbed in playing you get lost in a weird state of mind which is hard to describe. I used to go drive cars really fast on a circuit and it's a similar feeling, or when you're doing mountain biking down a very fast and difficult path. You become so focused on the present moment that everything else sort of vanishes and you enter a special zone. It's like a meditative state of mind. I think this why so many people become obsessed about becoming good at this sort of thing, this is probably the only feeling that can become as addictive as sex. Sex also does a similar effect if done correctly (as in allowing yourself to be lost in the passion of the experience). To me all of the disciplines that can take a human being to this state of mind should be considered artforms.

The roots of his talent spreads across the whole world. Thank you for showing these kind men what we love and allowing them to show us their thoughtful appreciation for it.

Danny once talked about tabla players that they had to learn to sing the rythm before they even got the chance to try it on the tablas.. he thinks the rythm and thats where it comes from. Cool vid bro. I think it is a repost but the first time I see it. And also.. one of the reasons I started to play drums.
Finally a Tool video! Once you start with Tool, good luck stopping. They are an amazing and unique band. As you already see the band has amazing talent and Maynard writes lyrics that many can relate to. I am very glad they got to see the octopus at worked, even at 26th, he is underated. That dude at the end banging on things for what looked like the first time, the joy, it was child like. All inspired by the truly mind blowing capabilities of a virtuoso. The same way the great artists have inspired since we discovered creativity. Thanks for making this. The contrast in cultures and origins hides our similarities and content like this pulls away those veils and spotlights how we're all the same where it matters.
I admire these open minded men, their comments and interpretation, their aprieciation for a completely different culture shows how much oh so "civilized" people can learn from oh so "primitive" tribal people. Tool truly can connects the world with their beatiful, deep art.

I'll never get to have encounters like this where I get to have a discussion with amazing people like this who's culture is so vastly different and yet so amazingly similar, talking about one of my all time favorite bands and favorite drummer ever. Thank you for bringing us all along on these cultural adventures!!! I cannot wait for them to hear more from Tool!!!
I love that their reactions are genuine. You can see they're truly amazed at what they're seeing and hearing.
These fine gentleman are giving Danny an absolute glazing which he of course deserves. They are so reverent and thoughtful it's awesome to watch.
When he push the pedals he makes the band play faster.... This was super! Thx.
Abdul always pays such close attention. Very focused. Wise man.
What a great idea for a video. Whoever came up with this needs a raise. Tool's music is universally enjoyable and impressive and it's a joy to watch them experiencing it for the first time.
As a drummer and a TRYBALS viewer i'm so delighted you chose this video! Carey is AMAZING!
Next: TRYBALS react to El Estepario Siberiano and his crazy videos! LOL
that would be epic!
My kid brother went to high school with Danny. I did too, but didn't really know him. Great guy. Very grounded.
You ever tryballs?
All of the reactions are always awesobut I especially love hearing what the gentleman with the long beard and white head dress thinks. Such fascinating insights from someone who seems open to experiencing and enjoying anything. Honestly seeing all of their appreciation and unique experiences with the music is awesome. I really appreciate these.
I always knew the pneuma drum cam video was the key to peace in the middle east.
Bro, top comment of all time.
not really the middle east but meh
You mean Asia. They are Indian. Hilarious comment though 😂
next video should be Talibal people reacting to Danny carrey
@harri673 😱 oh, really?!?!
One of my FAV drum cams vids. Chills all the way through. I always thumbs up my own replies!
Best band. Best drummer, best singer best guitarists
“Fuck me, right?” Justin Chancellor, probably.
@@escalonarr You clearly meant Michael Jackson? 😁
I appreciate all of you for being open to new music! Hopefully you enjoy it!
A brick that went through a fire doesn't have time for anything else...this is what makes this channel so great. Explaining being battle tested in such a clean metaphor. Love it
I love watching these guy’s reaction videos. It is a privilege to get their perspective.
Danny once talked about tabla players that they had to learn to sing the rythm before they even got the chance to try it on the tablas.. he thinks the rythm and thats where it comes from. Cool vid bro. I think it is a repost but the first time I see it. And also.. one of the reasons I started to play drums.
Yes, in South Indian classical tradition this is called konnakol. One can spend an entire lifetime perfecting it and never touching a drum.
God bless these gentlemen. They are so respectful and have great values that every human should strive for.
Finally a Tool video! Once you start with Tool, good luck stopping. They are an amazing and unique band. As you already see the band has amazing talent and Maynard writes lyrics that many can relate to. I am very glad they got to see the octopus at worked, even at 26th, he is underated. I was fortunate to see them live a few months ago in OKC, amazing show!
Sees the effortlessness at the end and the huge smiles, "sir, this is no joke" lmao love it
I love this! One of my favorite bands and have the opportunity to see them live twice!!!!
They are the best and especially live! I've been lucky enough to see every US tour Tool has done and some twice. That makes me old.. lol!
Dude with the beard looks truly mesmerized that music like that exists
I’ve greatly enjoyed Danny Carey’s drumming for years. It’s so cool to see others that are new to TOOL immediately loving Danny’s drumming.
I am amazed how the guys who react are so elegant. As a European I m a bit jealous
This is the best reaction video i have seen & i have cried to Devin Townsend reaction videos✌️
This is the perfect example of "Music is Universal". Thank you for posting this video.
I admire these open minded men, their comments and interpretation, their aprieciation for a completely different culture shows how much oh so "civilized" people can learn from oh so "primitive" tribal people. Tool truly can connects the world with their beatiful, deep art.
I love these, I used to share my music with the Afghanistan translator and some Security we had working with us when I was deployed. One that they liked I was surprised by was tool. Even some wanted copies. Makes my heart feel good watching this. I deployed 20 years ago. 🏴☠️👨🏻🚀🖤
I love how the one guy compared his left foot to a clutch and when he presses it it makes the band play faster. What an incredible way of observing this!
Andnan: "Does he seem to be under pressure to you?"
Abdul: "There is and should be too, sir"
That is very true.
💯😎💯
This video made my day. So many deep reflections and so much ego-less appreciation for beauty and dedication to one's craft. That thought about clay and fire was the cherry on top.
18:37 same reaction at the same time. This was beyond entertaining getting a different perspective on any genre. The fact that Carey studied tabla with Aloke Dutta shows more than it ever has in this song. Please do more of these!
I believe it should be mandatory for every up and coming musician to sit and have a chat with all these elders, or at the very least watch all their videos. A nice dose of humbleness, so much wisdom and an incredible oneness with all that music means for a true musician's soul.
I love that the dude who was most skeptical at first, at the end was like ""Daney Carey?? Wow!" And starts dancing
What a fantastic concept for a video! Make more! This is wonderful to watch. Give each dude a big hug for me.
Danny should by rights be above 26th in the world. lol i loved this.
I swear watching reactions of every culture through music could eliminate 90% of racism itself. Much love from Canada everybody.
This is a moment. Thank you for capturing and sharing!
The polyrhythms section is mind-blowing
".. but this requires you to disconnect from the world."
The old man is a great seer. My respects to him.
"WOW DANNY CAREY WOW" :)
Please give TOOL - Sober Live a try. The Lyrics and performance is phenomenal.
Nice review, gentlemen! Danny Carey created a masterpiece for the cameras that night. Beautiful.
You need to play sober(live) it’s one the best performances you could watch. It REALLY shows off Maynard’s voice.
Perhaps Maynard was a better singer of that era. I have seen Tool live 4 or 5 times and his singing was the weakest element of their performance. Often out of tune. Perhaps hard to hear himself with such a loud band.
I am so glad to found this chanel. Good to see how these gentle people reacts from their hearts.
I adore this channel. Massive love to you guys ❤
lots of love, thank you so much :-)
Im always proud to say i was in that crowd. Truly one of the greatest experiences
Of course Muharam wants to learn how to fix punctures so that he can be of help to others. Heart of gold. Love him. ❤
I know, that was such a warm and loving perspective. He saw Danny's dedication and he felt inspired to put in the work to help people too. What a man.
