I'M NEAR 75 AND FIRST HEARD TOOL ON MTV, THE SONG SOBER, SINCE THEN THEY HAVE BEEN MY FAV BAND, SAW THEM TWICE, NOT NEAR ENOUGH, PURE GENIUS. PERFECT BAND,PERFECT MUSIC.
This song simultaneously sounds like it was buried in a crypt, never to be found, ancient and forgotten but yet sounds like it’s 1000 years from the future. i love tool
They are truly of another universe. They tied together the whole human journey in no small part because of the massive amount of evolution. They’ve done in their own lives.
@@stephencosgrove3475 Why are they presenting Christian nihilist philosophy here then (expressing similar to it views) Basically why if they are atheists they are presenting here a spiritualist view?
Danny is like the secret superstar of tool according to many musicians and experts. Me aswell. THe whole Band is absolutly fantastic and probably the most complex band we have. But Dannys Drumming is controlling everything that makes tool special. The Timings, the atmosphere, all Sounds that sound like digital are E-Drums etc. He is doing the Timing, He is brining the heavyness into certain parts and on this album especially drums are suuuper hard in focus. If you listen to it try to notice what is the leading instrument. There are a lot of solos aswell. Fear Inoculum will be a super special Album for Drummers of generations to come. It is one very rare kind of drum focused Album that can give a lot of inspiration, practice etc. I don't know if non-drummers can understand what i mean but this is just super special for us :D
Danny Carey is truly amazing - I can't comprehend how you could begin to write something as inventive as this. He has created a whole new boundary for drummers like myself and consistently pushes the limits of drumming.
@@The_GreenHub MIke himself said this in the video -- it's the creativity that had his mind blown; the fills, the tempo shifts, the structured space in the song, the time signatures, the polyrhythms, the syncopation. Danny and Mike are both geniuses -- game recognize game ;)
@@The_GreenHub Yes, notice how easy DC makes this look live. A professional percussionist isn't about difficulty, it's an all-encompassing mastery of all aspects of the field. Starting with just silence.
Trip On regardless of the end point. In the end what is the culmination of it all my brothers and sisters in trippiness ???? In other words who really gives a fuck ????
If were being real honest Fear Inoculum was the least original effort. Each album was an evolution, and FI felt like they stayed in the same place sonicly.
@@knowtheroleof course they ' evolved ' their music , the band members themselves ' evolved ' too , the years ' brought ' them more experience , they can probably play / sing better überhaupt perform better and have gained more experience through the years ( i highly doubt if the last 20 years made them less experienced about life or about being a musician ) but the thing is , they keep the original ' style ' of the band they keep that original sing style and they somehow seem to manage to make something new out of that , a new ' classic ' tool song if u will and that is just plain cool (; if u ask me
Just the drum track alone is a masterpiece. Perfectionist beast of a drummer Danny Carey is pushing 60 at 58, Justin Chancellor 47, Maynard 55, Adam Jones 54. Much respect to these legendary musicians. Timeless music. Astounding release, thank you!
@@ruofanyu6699 Tool is like nature in that each of their songs a small individual piece of the puzzle, it's only when you take a step back and examine the entirety do you see the bigger picture.
Charles Shank man even as someone with ADHD my concentration and attention is heightened with Tool. I can listen to hours and hours of Tool and no get bored or lose attention. It triggers my brain like no other music does.
Man that is awesome that you have found a band that helps you that way, music speaks to the soul it is such a shame that people spend their entire life without finding what actually speaks to theirs
@@michellejones6125 I second that opinion. To see him from behind, playing this shit, it makes it even more unbelievable. That mans calves and hamstrings could lift a school bus off the ground, they are so strong. His arms are considered industrial equipment and need a special permit to operate. He does so much math in his head for each hand and foot, that MIT is using him on the weekends to calculate rocket trajectories. The man is a fucking machine, a legend, and one of the finest drummers to ever play a stage. His birthday should be a national holiday and everyone should meet outside and learn how to drum a Tool song.
I'm 52 from the UK. Tbh I'd never heard of tool before. I heard them on Spotify a few weeks before the new album came out. Where have I been? This band is like my new drug now, always on where ever I am. What a time to be alive and finding this musical art.
I am 15 from the US and I've been listening to this band since I was eight or nine. It's kinda cool and funny seeing all of these new people come in and being like "wow, what's this new band on spotify and how are they already at #1?"
Lyrics We are spirit bound to this flesh We go round one foot nailed down But bound to reach out and beyond this flesh Become Pneuma We are will and wonder Bound to recall, remember We are born of one breath, one word We are all one spark, sun becoming Child, wake up Child, release the light Wake up now Child, wake up Child, release the light Wake up now, child (Spirit) (Spirit) (Spirit) (Spirit) Bound to this flesh This guise, this mask This dream Wake up remember We are born of one breath, one word We are all one spark, sun becoming Pneuma Reach out and beyond Wake up remember We are born of one breath, one word We are all one spark, eyes full of wonder
And then you realise this was 5 years ago. I am blown away, this band, this sound, this experience. I was fortunate to see Tool live once, after listening to them for over 25 years. This band is amazing in the true sense.
I get why these songs are long.... it takes time to take you to the place it wants to bring you. You have to immerse yourself into the music and the results are very rewarding

I'm 60 yrs old, and tonight is the first time i've listened to this amazing band, I raised My two Sons on a strict diet of Rush, Heavy Rock, and all Music in between. They have went on to become talented musicians . My eldest Son, through the music of Rush, has become a great fan of DREAM THEATER and TOOL. Me being a devout Rush fan, never considered these other Bands, I should have known better. Thank You Adam for introducing Your Old Man ( Me ) to this tremendous Band. Listen through Your Headphones People, Hear everything xxxx
Almost 61 here. This is the first Tool song I've ever listened to (thanks to reactors Jamel_AKA_Jamal and Lost In Vegas), for the first time yesterday, and it's absolutely brilliant. On repeat and not a song but a journey. It nudged out my Robert Fripp/Daryl Hall, Joe Pesci, and Albert Ayler jags of last week ;-)

I am so glad I found this music. I'm pushing 70. Been listening to rock all my life--literally. Finding new music that's worth listening to is getting harder and harder. Downloaded Fear Inoculum yesterday and I can't get enough. I don't know yet if all Tool's music is this good, but I'm going to sure find out. To me, at least on this CD, Tool is this generation's Pink Floyd--that is high praise indeed.
Early albums of Tool were made by the King Crimson producer, so at fact you will find a lot of universals ideas and aura in their style in general. Cheers!
Pokey 54 Tool doesn’t have a bad album, but my favorite is Lateralus. Tools first 2 albums were opiate (live ep album) and undertow. Very raw and awesome. Then things took a lil more experimental turn for Aenima and everything after. I would check out some of May nards other projects like “A perfect circle” too! They are great!
I am Ethiopian and the beat from the 7:00 - 8:45 is similar to that of a local tribe called 'Wolaita' - fast paced and energetic, that is my favorite part of this masterpiece.
The therapy in a few years shouldn't cost too much. :p That actually reminds me of a guy that used to pick me up for work everyday. He'd always have the 1978 War of the Worlds Musical Version playing. Strange fellow he was.
Ever notice that wisdom “feels” different from knowledge. Knowledge is seeing the evidence that 1+1=2. There’s info point A, and B and so on, and you put em all together = the conclusion. Then there’s that rather more fuzzy intangible experience. When you see, hear, learn or experience a truth (big or small) that changes your outlook forever. Funny how that feeling is more like a “drop” or a “click”. It’s not easy to identify an A or a B, but you ‘know’ the conclusion in a different way. This is what makes it feel ancient. Because A and B in the case of knowledge are out there and you can be forgiven for simply not yet knowing; But in wisdom A and B were always there, but waiting for YOU to see it differently. It’s ancient because it’s been waiting for you, and within you.
TOOL's music is nothing short of a musical Big Bang, a cosmic creation and simultaneously, a poignant end to the universe. It's an experience that has left me utterly speechless, a testament to the profound impact their artistry has had on me. Their sonic landscapes unfold like the universe itself, with layers of intricate melodies, and each lyric carries the weight of a collapsing star - intense, deep, and emotionally explosive. In every note, TOOL manages to encapsulate the essence of a journey, a voyage through the vast expanse of emotions. It's as if they've tapped into the very fabric of existence, weaving together a tapestry of sound that resonates with the complexities of life. The music is a gentle caress for the mind and soul, a cosmic embrace that leaves an indelible mark. And this particular song, it feels like the Big Bang of all Big Bangs - a creation that takes shape only to unravel, making way for a rebirth. It's a musical metamorphosis, a celestial dance where every note and lyric converges and diverges in a cosmic rhythm. This composition is more than just an auditory experience; it's a journey through the cycles of creation and destruction, a sonic representation of the universe's eternal ebb and flow. (16/6/2024)
@@droptherapy2085 I must admit that this band - The Contortionist - was completely unknown to me until yesterday. However, based on my initial listen, I can say that I thoroughly enjoy their musical compositions. That said, I find "Clairvoyant" to be a better and more intriguing piece compared to "Language." The song "Relapse", with its complex subtlety, has particularly resonated with me and is currently my favorite track. Thank you for the excellent music recommendation! :-)
I wish my dad was alive to hear fear inoculum. He was a huge Led Zeppelin fan. I played him the cover of No Quarter by Tool. He was instantly hooked. He was also a drummer
I was in rehab last year for an opiate addiction... lets just say I could have easily died... I don't actually like it as much as the old stuff. The bass is doing the same as the guitar 90% of the time, and the sound in general feels very barebones compared to Lateralus and 10000 days. I'm also not a fan of how Maynard doesn't have long lines anymore, it's all just a syllable or two with a long pause
In september 2024 listening to this for the millionth time. Tool does something that every other band on earth cannot. Full emersion on a song so long. Progressive music is where its all at. And tool does it perfectly. Never have i felt so trapped in a song like reading a story without looking at the words. Its just slowly processing in your head what your feeling. Thank you so much tool. Your music makes a feeling of completeness that therapy could never create.

Every song on this album was a blast letting it grow on you. There literally like a jazz band metaphorically feel like a jazz how every member always compliments one another with how they play their instruments and also setting up a window for each member to always have a random moment to shine with their instrument. The impression I got listening to some jazz music that's what they do.

Brainwashed religious fanatics like christians have always told other people that Rock and Heavy Metal music is "Evil". But what isn't "evil" to them ? EVERYTHING is "evil" to them because they will DEMONIZE everything, anyone, and everyone that does not worship their fake religion full of lies. They will demonize everything they do not understand, and they understand NOTHING, therefore they will demonize EVERYTHING ( including YOU if you question them on their stupid beliefs that they need to protect - as darkness PROTECTS in their illusions of the blind Ego-mind). As they have no depth whatsoever, which is why they cannot understand anything. as they're always at the surface of images of their blind ego-mind of silly beliefs. They're Totally SHALLOW in their DARKNESS and their total self hatred. So they DEMONIZE everything and hate everything and hate the world, and hate all of nature, they have absolutely NO PRESENCE!!, They hate the Earth like no other, as its a reflection of their Self hatred.. in their cold and closed inner prisons of endless Bondage and hells within them. But the Divine Truth is, Heavy Metal and Rock music is a divine creation of the infinite intelligence of the Universe of Spirit and Nature, to wake humanity up, hence why it's LOUD and Screaming ! Heavy Metal and Rock music started out as being the "REBEL" music of society during the psychedelic (sacred divine plants) era. As EVERYTHING in human society is a LIE (even your American holidays are ALL totally fake man-made lies, as humans are stupid enough to believe christmas has something to do with a persons birthday, search "America's occult holidays" to see the total sham of it all).. And since Rock music and Heavy Metal is the Rebel of society, and EVERYTHING in Human western society is a LIE, then OBVIOUSLY there will be far FAR more Truths in Heavy Metal. Rock N' Roll and Heavy Metal music is absolutely LOADED with infinite Spiritual Truths that the ego-based mind is afraid to see and afraid to understand. There is NO genre of music on the planet that "ASKS" so many deep questions as heavy metal and rock music. And that's why christian idiots have to label it as "evil" , as they have absolutely no answers to anything, therefore they HATE any deep questions ! Because they hate themselves. Listen to rock bands that speak about the illusion of time, and alchemy of sacred divine plants, And speak also your divine 7-chakras in their songs. As well as talking about the countless lies of the "I" as who you think you are is total illusion (just as Corrosion of conformity does so well through their discography). Those 4 things are vital, and when you do you will find beautiful Spiritual music from bands like Iron Maiden, Blind Guardian, Death, Testament, Epica, Amenra, Isis, Dio, Neurosis (very special band !!), and Tool, Black Sabbath, and Queensryche (and many more), as well as softer magical bands like Pink Floyd and Neil Young etc, that is speaking to Soul (not the ego-mind) ;-) . Fake 'party" bands like the van halen's and the ac/dc's of the world cannot touch these bands. And stay away from "Nu metal" bands and 'commercial bands like the Limp Bizkit's of the world and the Papa Roach's of the world. It's total society garbage about the blind ego-mind, or about labeling and blaming (like pathetic pop diva's and eminem who are always labeling and blaming in stupidity of victim consciousness), and "victim consciousness" nonsense that doesn't serve you in any way. < 3 A band like "Blind Guardian" for example is loaded with beautiful Spiritual truths in their music catalog. It's very deep so you have to look beyond what people tell you what the songs mean. Don't follow "labels" of what other people say the songs mean as the mind can only label things at the surface of images and is blind, as these songs all mean YOU in many deep ways that the left-brain thinking ego mind of thought cannot see or understand. In one of my Ayahuasca ceremonies after total surrender of the ego as I surpassed the illusions of death, eye was given the sword of light from the Universe. The sword of Light came through me in magical beauty as I was downloaded massive amounts of knowledge love and wisdom through my heart chakra. This magical sword is far beyond how you see a sword in a picture in the illusions of images as this sword is multi-dimensional as I became "one" with the sword, the sword was me and I was the sword, as ONE in infinite beauty and magic in the 5th dimension of Consciousness. The sword of Light is only to be used for love and light and becoming in full awareness of my Soul purposes and missions on this planet to help awaken humanity out of the countless illusions of human society. Not a sword that can ever be used to harm anyone or anything. And through that experience I was taken back to Blind Guardian's "Somewhere Far Beyond" album that I listened to as a young man in the early 1990's, and Mother Ayahuasca showed me that Blind Guardian album cover and she said to me: " You see Robert, You have always been one of the chosen ones of Light, and you will always be one of the chosen ones of Light" .. and she showed me what a sword really means (that has absolutely nothing to do with what silly humans think a sword means as the blind human mind takes everything beautiful and sacred and twists it in countless lies).. Blind Guardian's "Somewhere Far Beyond" album cover is an Ayahuasca circle, with the Shaman playing Ayahuasca icaro's at the top through some kind of flute in the shape of an Ayahuasca vine on his chest, the flute at the bottom pointing to the light at the center of the circle. And he's elevated above everyone else sitting on a stool and wearing a crown (not just a hood like the others). And he also has a condor sitting on his shoulder (the highest flying bird that also has the ability to shift between Spiritual dimensions). In Ayahuasca art you will see the condor depicted quite often, and for infinite good reasons. Ayahuasca is the oldest and purest, and is by far the most effective form of Spiritual practice on the planet. Nothing could be more obvious as you listen to that album ;-) I so clearly remember as a child listening to heavy metal during the 1980's, & entire worlds opened up for me, bands such as Iron Maiden, Testament, Sabbath, Dio, and other great bands such as "Death" and Queensryche ( "Roads To Madness" by Queensryche for example is an Eternal Spiritual Truths classic), etc. A little later on in the early 1990's I got into the beauty of Blind Guardian with their beautiful album 'Somewhere Far Beyond". So many beautiful things that fake bands like ac/dc could never come close to offering. I never understood when people would tell me that Heavy Metal music is far too heavy to get into and too overwhelming. I always laughed, since I was a child, how people would tell me that this isn't music, but only loud cannons firing. I ALWAYS laughed as they tried so hard to sway me, but could never sway me an inch. From family members to friends to pathetic pastors in churches (and let me tell you that you will NEVER find more fake people on the planet than fear-monger pastors and priests in churches), as nobody hates our beautiful Mother Earth and Nature and divides people's more with hatred than pastors in churches, and they mostly hate themselves. And I never once cared for their blind and pathetic opinions, I always laughed hysterically inside. I always laughed hysterically how they couldn't "get it." . Because to me, when listening to heavy metal, it was always a blissful sweet symphony of beauty !! For me, it was always so soft, and wonderful, so welcoming, and Magical !! I feel so sorry for the humans that have no capability to ever understand the beauty of real heavy metal music, because heavy metal has so many beautiful Spiritual messages from the infinite Universe that the blind ego-based mind of duality is afraid to see, and afraid to understand. Mother Ayahuasca showed me in infinite ways how Heavy Metal music was so vital and so beautiful in so many magical ways for my Spiritual growth. And this magical band of beauty, Blind Guardian, was absolutely Massive and monumental for my Spiritual journey of the Universe of be-ing and infinite truths of beauty of Light and Spirit. ;-) .. Mother Ayahuasca showed me how my Soul always chose the right bands and the right music, far beyond my mind. Intuitively I knew it all along... but my goodness Mother Ayahuasca showed me so many deep Spiritual truths in deeper ways of infinite understandings of Spirit, that the blind ego-mind that lives in the illusion of time and the illusions of duality, is totally incapable of understanding..
Same here....was in high school back in 1996 it was Sober that hit me....from there on is history....glad to be apart of the album experience....Tool has done it!!!

@@parkergray4834 Whos Robin? lol. @Randall I agree, every song I listen to on here by Tool I will scroll down and read like 10-15 comments and peoples replies and when I read some of the comments it makes me so happy because for a long time it seemed people (outside of the true fan base) percieved Tool as a depressing "heavy metal" and too much screaming type of band (honestly, that's words I've heard people used who hadn't actually bothered to take the time to actually listen), but now I'm seeing people coming from every corner of the galaxy to make a positive remark and to celebrate such beautiful music. Another great thing is the comments I've read about people just discovering Tool for the first time, or Taylor Swift fans came to listen just to see what the fuss was about and seems like most of em get hooked on Tool immediately and keep saying "why haven't I been listening to Tool forever" and "wow I thought I wasn't going to like this, but here I am falling in love with Tool". hahahaha Tool transcends genre's, time and space and if there is by some crazy chance a God :P out there.... then it listens to Tool too.
Every single song on the TH-cam play list has nothing but people loving the shit out of Tool! I've never felt so home in a comments section in my life!
The reason fans of Tool come from all ages, is because TOOL's sound is truly timeless. They're ahead of their time really. Maynard has always been incredibly talented, and their sound has only been refined over the years. They're severely underrated. I hope they can live to see people realize what they're really all about. The perspective in the narrative, and constant attention to detail in the music itself, really create something that transcends all barriers, be it evolutionary, or interplanetary. Absolutely one of the best bands of all time, not just musically, but also in they message they're trying to send to people. All I wish is that more people would listen honestly, and try to understand. At it's heart, everything is a message of unity. It's an expression of our connection to the cosmos. The universe. God. Call it what you will. The power that guides us to do the right thing. To be better than yesterday. For the good of everyone. It reminds us that we are fundamentally alone, but also diametrically together.
I agree with everything you said but them being underrated. these guys are very accomplished musicians, who are getting big numbers across all of their music

We only seen them live once, in Prague 2019 & we were both due to go see them this year in Manchester, UK. This was one of his favourite songs off the new album. I will always think about him whenever I listen to this and will bring happiness and good memories spent with him. This song will be played at his funeral. Rest easy Brother.
I don't think Tool anticipated the success of this particular masterpiece. It's like one of those classical compositions, it gets better and better more you listen to it.

It is supposed to be that, it mentions Christian concept of God being the first and last cause of human life and existence in general
They are truly of another universe. They tied together the whole human journey in no small part because of the massive amount of evolution. They’ve done in their own lives.
@@stephencosgrove3475 Why are they presenting Christian nihilist philosophy here then (expressing similar to it views)
Basically why if they are atheists they are presenting here a spiritualist view?
Danny’s drumming on this is outstanding, the gats, bass and vocals! all of them are on fire.

This is what makes it feel ancient. Because A and B in the case of knowledge are out there and you can be forgiven for simply not yet knowing;
But in wisdom A and B were always there, but waiting for YOU to see it differently.
It’s ancient because it’s been waiting for you, and within you.
Have always felt this about tool.
I thinks it's the hypnotic rhythms from Adam and Danny.

This is probably one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. The sound that each instrument achieved, and the way that they flow together, with those lyrics, it's just beyond words. Thank you, Tool for this absolute masterpiece.
hell yeah man
soo many sounds. but that drummer of course kills it. an the meaning of Pneuma compared to the words is awesome.
To me, it's between this and Lateralus for the title of Tools magum opus.
Unbelievable realizing I’ve listened to these guys for 25+ years and I’ll never get sick of them. Transcending.
I've had my son and daughter listening to tool in the womb. When they head the album turn on, they both immediately shut the hell up and just listened. We were driving and they hate car rides. Brought my kids a moment of peace.
"Transcending" - as accurate as you can describe this album in a word
It's been 17 years for me, but I didn't develop my own taste in music until I was 15. I grew up listening to rock, but old rock. I'm often asked if I listen to anything other than Tool, but I can't help it, they are the best hands down.
I was listening to them 15 years ago ,maybe a little bit before. i think i was 18 or 19 when i got my first tool album lateralus. Wish i could have discovered them sooner. They are a great band
When you set the standard for how music should sound & be produced nothing gets old w Tool
Man these songs are powerful
And deep
..and life altering
Man if there's a song that should be sent to space to represent humanity, it should be this.
:)
When you're about to go to sleep and you get the notification of a new Tool's song and instantly you lost sleep. I've just called my boss to tell her tomorrow I won't be going to work. Let's celebrate we all have made it people, too many didn't do it.! Congrats.
Shit's been leaked for nearly a week bro lol
🍻
I legit just got home and trolling the YT this popped up omg so stoked right now! It's like I am properly finishing high school now!
Light up some good dank and chill to this 👌
Losing an hour of two of sleep will make you call in???
I think this may be my favorite song on the album
7empest is really great to !!!
This one and Culling Voices are the best
Same. This is magic 😭
¿ No reverse "p ?"
It’s my favorite too!
To experience new Tool 13 years later, listening to this, in this moment, is like a spiritual awakening.
calm down.
It's amazing. I'm in tears, tears of joy and appreciation and gratitude and bliss. TOOL is a healthy drug.
Listen to Can -Tago Mago. They were the best band at doing this.
I will be jamming this album for years to come. This is a historic day my friends. God I can’t stop smiling like an idiot. This is too good. I feel truly lucky to be alive to listen to this work of art. Long live Tool.
Same here, I was counting the days down and my anxiety was telling me I might not live to see this day. Fuck you anxiety. I have found an inocolum to fight you with! He he he!
My feelings. They somehow ruined my mid 20's and early 30's by not being there with new music. I mean how many times can one listen to vicarious.
I feel so sorry for all the fans that passed away without being able to hear the new album... Rip guys.
Your so right. Theres so much to unpack and dissect! It will be an amazing journey.
Same, yesterday I hit a point so low, hell the past month or so has been utter chaos and depression. Worth it to listen to this new album, to internalize the words, and honestly feel anew.
Maynard's voice is heaven to my ears. His voice is intoxicating.
Watch his episode of the joe Rogan experience
Its hypnotic, therepeutic and just beautiful
Yes 👐
Orgasmic!!!!
kinda wish he used it more on this album!
Tool you are responsible for making a lot of people happy today.
A simple and true comment...
Hell yeah they are!!!! 🙃😍
Oh lord, have they 😊🎶🎶🎵🎶🎶🎼
they should be held accountable
I am 52. Been obsessed with music since I was 5. Tool is the real deal. They stand with the giants in Rock and Roll history. An elite band When they issue a new album it is them and the rest. Enjoy....
Tool is one of the most precise, perfectionist, most talented bands today. Over 30 years, and they age like wine.
My favorite Tool album turns out to always be the one I'm just listening to.
theyre all so good I also cant pick one
Yeah...my fav track?
All of em.
Me too lol!!!
Lateralus 🔥
You hit the nail on the head homie!! I 🤘
I've just became a Tool fan in the last hour or so.
You have a lot of work to do..
Congrats, it's nice over here.
Welcome to enlightenment
Wecome, feel free to have a seat.
Welcome may I instrest you in they song “hooker with a penis”
Today is a historic day in history. It’s truly an honor to comment not only on a Tool video, but on their newest album
Hahaha hell yeah it is! Now let's just wait another decade lmao
Historic in history
I was imagining this album being played live in the Roman coliseum. A truly significant day in history
And probably their last album.
Hate to say it. But something tells me this is it.
@@troyb4533 I agree, something tells me after this they're bringing Tool to an end. They'll want to end on a good note.
I'm a 62 year old woman. This is the first time I've ever heard this band. I listened to "Polo's" reaction on his channel. Don't know if you know you're his favourite band?
The bass in this song and the guitar riffs are out of this world amazing...
RIP to all the Tool fans that have passed and missed this historical day and new music. Much LOVE.
@ hell yeah man!! I just had a good friend od a month ago, he never got to hear anything. So here's to him and all the other fans. Gone but not forgotten!!
@@lindsay33333 damn that hits home for me. One of my homies who helped get me into Tool like ten years ago passed away in 2015, also from an OD. He was a great guy and a great musician and Tool was one of if not his favorite band. We shared many good times listening to Tool together and talking about life and music, so I always think of him when I listen to Tool.. I was thinking the same thing as you said in your comment. RIP to my him and to your homie as well. Definitely wish they could be here to enjoy this new music with us.
Probably the most beautiful TH-cam comment I’ve ever seen.
yeah we heard that one million times
@@KCgrunge go take ur comments elsewhere. ✌
Just discovering Tool in my 55th year on the planet. They are brilliant and Danny Carey is an incredible drummer.
Welcome aboard !
Danny Carey never ceases to amaze
GREAT!!
Welcome...
I had never heard if them until they were put on spotify. Now my playlist is home to 19 of there songs.
This gets better every time I listen to it. And I’ve been listening a lot. Thank you Tool.
Hello, how are you doing? It is nice seeing you here.
Been a huge TOOL fan since the 90s they have changed my life in many ways. I'm 49 and still live by their knowledge and music.
when the bass hit i officially left my body. _oh how i’ve missed you_
reicse owen Dude, it clearly excites you but you gotta spell that one word right ... BASS line. Not being a grammar Nazi, just don’t want your passion to ever looked “contrived” to others. I used to be a great speller but now I find myself struggling to remember how to spell certain words. I know bass because I’ve got a gorgeous Fireglo Rickenbacker Bass.
so good to see you once again
Right there with you!
Power, hope, and energy that just sweeps you away, then makes you want to make a DIFFERENCE in the world for SOMEONE, NOW!
So good to see you, I thought you were hiding from me.

It's so awesome to know people around the world are all listening to this at the exact same time. ERIE, COLORADO, USA here!
Ha! Lived there for almost 7 years! Still go up there all the time!

Greetings from Michigan city, Indiana
You know what the sigh of a great album is, when you can't decide which is the greatest song on it. +10 TOOL, great job...
The flat out HEAVIEST riff ever
Literally the best song I've ever heard in my life
It’s alright, I wouldn’t go berserk. Reminds me a bit of Porcupine Tree.
Listen to rock bands that speak about the illusion of time, and alchemy of sacred divine plants,
And speak also your divine 7-chakras in their songs.
A band like "Blind Guardian" for example is loaded with beautiful Spiritual truths in their music catalog.
Nothing could be more obvious as you listen to that album ;-)
I so clearly remember as a child listening to heavy metal during the 1980's, & entire worlds opened up for me, bands such as Iron Maiden, Testament, Sabbath, Dio, and other great bands such as "Death" and Queensryche ( "Roads To Madness" by Queensryche for example is an Eternal Spiritual Truths classic), etc.
This isn't a song. This is a journey. Thanks for coming with us.
Well said. You been to a Tool concert? If not, that is where the journey truly takes flight…
@@Ironmurs Regrettably, I have never been able to afford a concert. Hopefully sometime I can see them live.

26 years of being a TOOL fan. I'm so happy listening to this epic song. They have never disappointed me. Forever grateful...
I was also listening to Aenema the day it come out.
Shae Cottar absolutely
Same here....was in high school back in 1996 it was Sober that hit me....from there on is history....glad to be apart of the album experience....Tool has done it!!!
Scott Garvey about the same here. Damn we’re old😄
Mesogreat Lol, we are old and I’m cool with that 🤘
One word, a thousand compliments, oh no, oh so much babble, I think ... a simple wow and bow my head from this wonderful and musical complexity. Why can I only experience this in 2024, where were you in the 80s? I think your roots were only born then, long with a long thread ... must be so, otherwise sorry that I didn't recognize you! Brilliant! Without words!
We should just be happy we got to even experience TOOL, after all we cannot rush art
Dude Tool fans have the best TH-cam comments ever lmao. The positivity is so refreshing.
Robin that has to be the lamest comment i’ve read, but i still relate to it on a spiritual level.
Another great thing is the comments I've read about people just discovering Tool for the first time, or Taylor Swift fans came to listen just to see what the fuss was about and seems like most of em get hooked on Tool immediately and keep saying "why haven't I been listening to Tool forever" and "wow I thought I wasn't going to like this, but here I am falling in love with Tool". hahahaha Tool transcends genre's, time and space and if there is by some crazy chance a God :P out there.... then it listens to Tool too.
poop
ROFL yes, agreed ....
There's also a ton of misguided "positivity" but i guess humans will be humans.
Well got damn that was pretty well said Peter Parker. Couldn't Agree more. Say whattup to Mary Jane for me.
@@mitchellguilmette3907 Thanks for reading the whole thing my man, I didn't realize when I posted how long that had gotten LOL. Also, MJ says whattup
And what if God and the universe are distinct?
I agree with everything you said but them being underrated. these guys are very accomplished musicians, who are getting big numbers across all of their music
One of my dating filters is, what do you think about tool. if they don't know, I share. It's effective, I dated a violin player and she became an instant tool fan. not a fan of mine in the end, but now she knows. she passed that stage in my filters.
I'm 53 I'm now officially down the Tool rabbit hole . I remember Schism from years ago and never listened to any others of there songs . Cant get enough now and I e also got my daughter and wife loving it . Awesome .
I'm an infant and I've never heard anything like Tool. They are now my favorite band.
My good mate who absolutely loved TOOL has just unfortunately passed away after losing his battle with cancer, he was only 38. We only seen them live once, in Prague 2019 & we were both due to go see them this year in Manchester, UK. This was one of his favourite songs off the new album. I will always think about him whenever I listen to this and will bring happiness and good memories spent with him. This song will be played at his funeral.
