Going to sleep 7 hours before the time you desire to wake up and waking up 1 hour late after 7 hours of sleep time complete .That is the way to get 8 hours of sleep in 1 hour. (DESIRED TIME 7) 00:00 + 7h + 1h = 8. I hope would help you.

Ask yourself these five questions, then answer accordingly:
What is most important? --> Order the goals and tasks.
What has to get done? --> Break it down (be specific).
How much time should this take? --> set a deadline for yourself (cut yourself too short).
What i am doing? --> reevaluate the process and decide on it.
What Should i be doing? --> Improve the process.

I really like the way how you are argumenting and breaking down the points to get a more efficient time management. I will surely try this strategy out. It really inspires me to get work done more efficiently! Im writing my bachelor thesis in computer science now and I only have 3 weeks left for this. I hope I can apply your tips :)
Looking forward for some new content of you! Keep the good work up!

Hey, I just found your channel from "a day in the life of a software engineer" video, and got curious to watch the other videos. No regrets! I had never heard of that Lincoln's quote, but it made me re-think a lot of stuff I do on my work, college, personal life...

    So true.
When I build the app for my self the biggest challenge is to work on the tasks which are planned beforehand.
Without implementing spontaneous ideas instantly as they arise.
That's why I create a GoogleDoc spreadsheet for each app.
And there I have a separate tab for each page of the app with tasks.
And the most important thing is to have several columns:
    1st version
    2nd version and so on.
Because when you work on something you will definitely want to add some additional feature here and there and it holds you from getting your main goal accomplished.
So you need to think about at least 2-3 iterations of your app.
The first version must be a minimal vaiable product. Just a basic version. Ugly as hell but should do it's main business logic.
And all the following iterations should improve the app. Step by step. Update by update.

That quote from Abraham Lincoln is good, I really like that. In regard to learning, my favorite quote is by Mark Twain:
"What I hear, I forget. What I see, I remember. What I do, I learn." I wholeheartedly believe this applies to everyone.
In regard to time management, my absolute favorite video on the subject is this ted talk: th-cam.com/video/arj7oStGLkU/w-d-xo.html
Although this one I believe is probably the most applicable:
    th-cam.com/video/Lp7E973zozc/w-d-xo.html
Procrastination is an issue for me personally and it's why I'm finally buying a laptop because there are times I just don't want to sit at my several thousand dollar desktop, but times where my phone just isn't enough.

    Heya Kalle,
I'm currently learning C# at 17 years of age, I haven't gone far and the most I can do is create a Table using the Console.WriteLine function, would you drop it to learn Dart and Flutter?
Nice videos btw, you just got yourself a new Subscriber :)

    • @Hallden_
      @Hallden_  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks man!
Well it totally depends on what you want to do with your programming?
C# is good for game development for instance.
And dart and Flutter is something I would mostly recommend for people who want to build apps for themselves because then they only have to write it once and can have it on any mobile device.
But if you want to work as an app developer then I would suggest learning the language they use for that specific platform and maybe maybe learn dart and Flutter on the side a few hours a week.
Also if you do learn c# well, then you'll be able to pick up most other languages within a few days or a month maybe.
So if you don't have a specific plan and have already started with c# then I would stick with it until I felt comfortable in it.
I hope that gave you some idea of at least what I think is a good way to move forward :)
