The last habit tip was so helpful, especially for me. I used to have a hard time falling asleep because I would spend hours thinking about what I need to do the next day. Now, I just follow the tip and it has made a huge difference.
Just a quick word of encouragement - your videos are simply the very best I have ever seen. 100% pro, entertaining, charming and educational. Well done x
This is the first video of yours I have seen, and I really enjoy what you're doing. I like your style of narration and storytelling, as well the content you are actually presenting. These are really great and doable tips, rather than the usual productivity TH-cam outlining a whole crazy schedule. You could easily take even just one of these tips and benefit greatly from it. I also like your transparency, especially when talking about timing your focus, it made you and the video feel more relatable - while you still mantain your authority in the subject due to your tips being so good. Currently watching your brand ad for the backpacks, and honestly I love it. The fact that the one ad in this video is for your own brand, incredibly inline with your niche and demographic, and done in a very cool way with the bags being recycled. It doesn't feel so much like a normal ad, it is actually congrusive to the video, selling what seems to be a legitimately good product, that is also good for the earth. I love it man, keep it up. You got a sub from me
"The training was hard, but i told myself suffer now, and live the rest of your life like a champion “ - Muhammad Ali The best part of staying focused like this is that you can work really hard for only 2, 3 years and set up the rest of your life
The thing I love about your videos is they are not just a list of a bunch of good ideas. This is value rich content that I can actually take into my real life and apply starting tomorrow morning. I’m so happy I found this channel. Keep up the good work. Thank you.
This was a great video, thanks for sharing. Im going to implement the timer, as when I time block, I think I’m overly ambitious about how long I can stay focused for maybe timing myself will help me plan on my day more effectively knowing that I can really only focus for 45 to 90 minutes at a time
it's not a question of proud or not. the longer you work the more you get done, the more money you make. it's working toward goals. if you work 8 hours/day your goals are so far away compared to someone who work let's say 14 hours/day, and you just can't compete with that person. obviously this is not for everyone, but the more you grind the quicker you will achieve your financial or professional goals. this is how some people retire at 30 years old, because they work 2 high-paying jobs, one in a company one as a freelancer, 15 hours/day for 10 years, and one morning they wake up as 31 years old with $2M saved up.
Writing my todo list in the evening was a game changer. My morning personality is way too ambitious than my evening one and I was always over-committing when I was planning in the mornings 😁
I need to do 12 hours a day to catch up with life been depressed for a while, the method that works for me is get up do 20 minutes and then rest for 5 or 10 it helps but I need to push myself harder
I sat outside yesterday and set the timer for 15 minutes, Ended up being out for 35! It felt good after walking to get a coffee. I need to do this more for walks and getting outside.
Productivity gains mean I work 6 hours a day maximum most of the time. The hustle is culture is dead. No one wants to work 12 hours a day unless they have to. 😅
I don't use my cell phone when I'm at work. Unless I'm on break. I focus on computer processing Delivery from shipments payments all day. & People don't understand other workloads. My deadline is 1 hr. We are human. & need to learn to cope.
Hyper productivity is intertwined with ego satisfaction. ㊙️ The more productive you think you are - the more you value yourself as a person who matters to the world. 🥩 It's a matter of self-importance or ego gratification. 🥩 "I work therefore I am somebody."
Another one I think is underrated is a good morning routine. When I found myself rushing in the morning I was less focused in the day, since I woke up earlier and had a more relaxing morning I was more focused at work
i just started a job where i work 12 hours twice a week and 8 hours twice a week. i will never in my life work 12 hour shifts. it’s ridiculously difficult for me.
The notion that still being in a state of flow and going past the pomodoro timer is terribly wrong. The point is to control your emotions and "how you feel" when doing things like studying. When you disregard the timer to take a break, you are essentially going based off of your own feelings, which pushes away from discipline. This is why it is extremely important to take that break even if you feel like working more. Same thing goes for still working even if you feel like taking a break.
Kind of fascinating. On the one hand some countries discuss 4-day workweeks to reduce pressure to employes and help regaining as everyone keeps complaining about to much work On the other hand we have this guy.
Hi Liam, genuine question - does this not eventually burn you out? I struggle with anxiety and have tried to slow down so the prospect of being go-go-go seems super overwhelming.
@@Sarandib22 I started in 1983. By doing the suggestions of Liam I think people can haev long healthy careers - get some exercise, try to get enough sleep etc It will ebb and flow over a long career and the worst for us was when we had 3 children under 4 and were both working full time so stopping work at mid night for example can mean you are up with a baby for 2 hours after that and every 2 hours every night for years. Lovely and cute though babies are they do add an extra harder bit to it all
I get nervous when I study quietly without phone and solve wrongly constantly but when I study when I watch a series I'm more foucs to solve problems with right answers, the cons I spent longer time. Please I need help what can I do
Could you do a video on how you do your to do list? I’ve seen your Trello videos, etc, but I just wonder how you remember to do it all, prioritise, etc. thanks
Great video. I’ve found that eating a low sugar, protein based breakfast has been really beneficial for maintaining energy levels throughout the day. It evens out the peaks and troughs and let’s you focus more effectively. This could be a simple two egg omelette or protein shake.
How about being more efficient? Finding ways to make more in less time for the same amount of money? I automate as many tasks as possible so I only work for 4 hours a day with a full time contract.
The big takeaway from Liam's videos is to outsource some work like video editing! Also cleaning, cooking and ironing, and spend the rest of your day and the weekends with your family, travel and work out.
Some of this editing is great, some of it is quite choppy around the cuts of umms and arrr's. Brilliant information though Liam. I want to try a combination of techniques that you have mentioned to get a two hour deep work session in first thing in the morning. The "to do list of the next day", or writing your next task down in depth to get you rolling into a good state quickly, ontop of the reverse pomodoro. I imagine you are also a Windows/Teams/Outlook setup, and indepth (IE with instructions) on creating a good do not disturb setup on a corporate machine would be great.
What you've described sounds like the training routine of a 100m Sprinter, whereas ('and', we all know the the story of the Tortoise-&-the Hare) I'm concerned for the, proverbial, 'loooong-term'; i.e. burnout or 'give-up' effect.
Is a menos back pack with a light colored like a light grey or equal comming? Because then I woukd buy one but i hate backpacks you cant find you stuff in because they are all black

I tried writing the to-do lists but I always do whatever is more pressing instead.
Wow that bit about the Sydney Opera House! Great tips thank you.
Yooo the editing is dope!! I hope the youtube algorithm notices this

Yes, no mortgage, kids, emerging health issues, elderly parents with dementia to care for etc
These nonsense videos are the equivalent of porn. Nothing is realistic.
