1. Plan out your ideal week, use SMART goals 2. Most time management problems are actually energy management issues. Guard your energy! Feel good! Calendar blocking lets you feel up your day around those concrete blocks W/ energising stuff, coffee W/ friends...ask yourself... How can I build energy? 3. The adventure habit. Ask yourself... What is the most important task or adventure I have to do today? + 3 side quests... 4.minimise task switching to be more intentional, but welcome welcoming distractions... Part of the adventure habit will let you know which distractions to welcome and push away. 5. Rapid action habit... When we hear new information without action, we don't retain that information. So bias towards action 6. Experimental action: treat your different passions with this notion that it is an experiment...discipline carries that vibe that you have to do it... Rather than seeing it as an opportunity to experiment!
7. Reflection: weekly, monthly, are you aligned with your goals. 8. Delegation habit: what can you cut out of your life.. or no longer is part of your lifestyle... Is there anything you would rather someone else do?

Hey Ali, I discovered you a couple weeks ago and after watching handful of your videos I just wanna say this. I've never met anyone who can speak so much information so clearly, so straightforward, and super smooth to digest in even if you are talking in an insane speed. I don't know if you specifically took speech training or it's a talent supported with tons of reading - but however you do this you are crashing it! I rarely watch TH-cam videos over 5-10 mins, but when you talk I am always amazed how I ended up watching till the end without noticing how the time passed. Thanks a lot for being in youtube, for doing what you do in a high level, and I'll confess , to me social media is a big fat fake lives, you are an exception, because you way of talking, skills and hard work on putting all this information together with your team and delivering it in such attractive way make me go like "He is definitely doing something right, so I'm gonna listen to him". Also, your style of promoting things: Well, I strongly dislike this whole affiliate promotion because nowadays, it's so easy to be an affiliate that everyone is an affiliate so nobody ends up earning anything (specifically smaller accounts); however, either its your own book or another product you promote, your way of casually mentioning and giving brief information which is relatable as well, instead of exaggerating, kinda makes things don't look like an ad. You are really good at this, there is a lot to learn from you.
The bit about welcome distractions was especially delightful :) There are times where I would deliberately sit in my living room to get work done just so I could be distracted occasionally by my housemates. Feels nice :)
Reality: 7.30-8.30 children 8.30-10.00 cooking and cleaning 10.00-19.00 working 19.00-22.00 children 22.00-23.00 yoga, films, books and all that I want. Its my time!
Time management is my blessing and crutch at the same time. I manage my time for spiritual things, but not for my Wordly things. Thanks for the Inspiration. Another amazing video brother. Im really feeling more organized thought wise. Thank you for being You. Blessings brother.
The concept of 'feels good stuff' always helps in maintaining consistency is so true. We dont need to push ourselves. We rather tend to do such things cheerfully.
Loved this! Experiments on myself using the Shape Up methodology is the one habit that have changed the consistent energy that i have because always im doing different things, even if it’s organizing my week or work in “boring” stuff
Totally agree. So many of the productivity tips I talk about on my channel were inspired by Ali. I can't wait to see what comes out next from him and his team.
Self Reliance is my key to feeling good... Without it no calendar or schedule not even the best looking plan works so maybe start with that in mind? Just my 2 cents😘
Always put your finances in good care to ensure that your income rises. Wealthy people achieve there financial goals and acquire riches by seeking help from finance pro(s) but many claim to have achieved success themselves.
“The greater the passive income you can build, the FREER you will become.” I feel fortunate to have made productive decisions that have had a lasting impact on my life. Through my finance coach, I've accumulated over a million and recently purchased my first house in January. I've also managed to pay off my mortgage and student loans, and now I'm focused on working towards my retirement by next year.
I operate a wide range of investments and have achieved massive growth in my finances with the help of my financial professional, making my financial goal a reality.
Hi Ali, perfect timing! I just pre-ordered your book through Amazon and I am so excited to be receiving it as my Christmas Present. I have been watching your passive income video repeatedly, you inspired me to do something to change my life through mindset and productivity. Great content as always, thank you!
The calendar habit The feel good productivity habit The adventure habit The focus habits The rapid action habit The experimental habit The alignment habit The delegation habit I have not done 100% yet, but I will try Thanks big
I find myself in a, hopefully once in a lifetime opportunity. I have to completely change my career direction. After spending years learning my trade as an Industrial Mechanic I am now directionless. To cope with this I am running multiple experiments that will hopefully lead me to something new and exciting. Thank you for being a direction finder in my experiments 😊
I’m super excited for this book! Thank You Ali, I’ve learned so much from you over the years and I have made my life drastically better. Thank you so much again for all you do!
Man I recently found your channel and I genuinely believe some of the things that I’ve been taking note of from your videos will change my life. Thank you Ali. 🙏🏻
Whenever I feel emotionally down, I watch Sir Ali Abdaal's videos. He takes me to his world and advices me to be more productive, feel good, and forget about worries! ❤🙂
I would like to hear Ali’s opinion on the late research on the Anterior Mid-cingulate (if I spelled that correctly) and how it grows when we use self discipline for things we don’t want to do.
What’s the difference between productivity bro & hustle culture? Are you just repackaging the same idea of hurtling people towards burnout? Brene Brown talks about how play is essential to joy & happiness & being fully open hearted in life. Schedule it. Make time/space for play.
Hi Ali, I just came across your channel and felt myself wanting to do something and trying out youtube. Like many others I haven't taken the first step, but I really want to. I'm just really happy theres someone out there who genuinely wants to help people like me who want to do something more with their life and accomplish goals. Thanks.
What would you recommend for someone who is constantly traveling. Every week and day is different, for me it's very difficult to organise my work in the long run.
If you're in a committed relationship - does each partner do their own stuff and then have 'joint' goals? I'm curious since I do this but my partner sometimes doesn't and would love if he would. Curious about your thoughts. Thanks!

Hey Ali! Huge fan of you for a while now. You've also actually inspired me to start my own channel (not the first time you're heard this LOL). But I was wondering if you could share that absolutely sick background that you use whenever you move on to a new point. It would really help me out! Thanks for your time (as you know only too well, it's valuable)!
I think it would be a good idea to link research articles that you quote from. I was trying to look up the study on task switching and only found one from 2001 from said authors. I'd be super curious to find out how that might have changed in the past 22 years because obviously, our lifes are so different now.
@aliabdaal I’m a nurse, work from home now thankfully and mom with three busy kids. I would love to read your book. Would you recommend purchasing the physical book, audio, or kindle version? Are there things in the book like charts and such that would be easier to see with the physical book? Or should I get the digital copy so I can read anywhere and anytime? Hopefully you’ll reply. Thanks Ali! ❤

i’m so excited for your book to come out! You’ve been providing such great productivity tips for so long now!
The ability to explain things to others in a concise manner is also important.
Man hats off to your editor, what an incredible edit.
I like the bit about interruptions harming productivity at work, because in my experience, 90% of those interruptions come from management.
Nofkingsht....
Assalamualaykum Ali,I'm a teenager! Was just watching your video on how to study for exams!!! Love you for making this amazing contents❤

Ali! The way your videos are presented are so elegantly and cleanly, and the knowledge is amazing! Thank you!
I love the adventure & side-quest analogy, will definitely be adopting that. Thank you for the advice, can't wait for the book! 🙏
The gamer part of Ali talking.
the #1 killer for me is procrastination or getting my butt off to work on the task. My calendar and GTD is full of overdue items or undone items
