- Hey! In today's Finale we try to find out whether you can beat Sonic Adventure Without Collecting Any Rings!
I just want to take the time to thank each and every one of you who has supported this series and the channel thus far, my hope was to reach 100 subscribers by April; but you guys came out and pulled a madness!!! 350 SUBSCRIBERS! Thank You so much! This is down to you guys and I cannot put into words just how thankful I am for your support! 🥰
Today's challenge was such a roller coaster! Whilst I expected E-102 Gamma's story to be beatable, I just wasn't expecting the lengths we would have to go through to get there, and whilst ultimately we couldn't beat Perfect Chaos Ringless, I still had a ton of fun with this series! So with that said...

I can't wait for Sonic Adventure 1, or Sonic Adventure 2 maybe I can a can you beat Sonic Adventure without collecting a ring? I guess I could always do so in Sonic Adventure DX; or Sonic Adventure 2 battle, Super Sonic is my favorite character, especially his battle against Chaos, like Super Sonic vs Perfect Chaos, or Super Sonic vs Eggman! Same with Tails and Knuckles, and even Gamma, Sonic... Did you guys read those Sonic Frontiers Leaks? Insane right?! What about Sonic Origins or Sonic Prime? Maybe even the Sonic Movie and Sonic Movie 2, I might do a Sonic Movie 2 Review when it comes out, my favorite port has to be Sonic Adventure 2 battle and I hope we get a Sonic Adventure 3 someday. For sure I'll be doing a Sonic Adventure 2 review, maybe even cover some Sonic Leaks and Sonic discussion... Hello everyone! :) This is just a quick update to let you know that the next video, being the SRB2 No Ring Challenge Series will be releasing within the next few days! I've been working on it since the finale aired 9 days ago, and whilst it's almost ready I just need a little bit more time to get it done.

If I could explain Gamma’s reasoning for a second, I think the reason his idea of “saving“ his fellow E series robots is by destroying them is because it allows the bird within which is kind of like the soul of the machine to be free. When the bird is trapped within the machine it’s a slave to Dr. Robotnik, but once it’s mechanical shell is broken it’s free to live out its life.
I'm pretty sure it's implied that gamma gained his sentience by seeing the bird with Amy and realizing he himself has an animal inside of him
That's the way I've always understood it as well.

Plot twist, G just saw Sonic break a bot and a animal popped out and he realized they were animals
The thing that a lot of people don't understand with Gamma's story, is that when he "gains sentience", it's more or less the bird inside of him gaining control over the robot when it's friend confronts him at the prison cell. From that point on, everything Gamma says is essentially the bird talking through the robot.
Gamma's story is surprisingly deep for a game like this.
True, I just think it's due to how vague the story telling is throughout his story. There's a lot they leave up to interpretation when it comes to some of the key details of Gammas story arc.
7:23 I think he's saving the animals inside the robots.
The timer going back up to one minute is a deliberate feature to prevent a level from becoming a forced game over if a player hits a checkpoint with too little time left to win.
Smart thinking on their part tbh.
Just to clarify, the Voice Over for this Video was completed and finalized over a week ago before we even hit the 100 subscriber milestone. Right! Honestly it was a brain fart on my part, Super Sonic's Story is so insignificant being only a single boss it tripped me up to think the game only had 6 stories. 😅
If you count the big rings than it's only 4 because of that sonic story ring

From what I can tell, I hit Sonic which knocked him into the rings yet caused me to collect 2? I think. O.o
Honestly I didn't even notice that whilst editing, but I think that's what happened? Either way it is possible to beat Ringless I swear, interesting how that happened though. 😅
@@challengerjakku1943 Idk much about the game so your guess is probably better than mine lol. From the looks of the stage, the rings are spaced out enough to be done ringless, so you're good

@@MysticClaws100 Very similar, the reason why I didn't catch it with sonic was because I thought the blast hit him exclusively.
It was during the chaos zero fight with Sonic
I have this theory that the reason the rings all fall near the characters, is simply due to time constraints and maybe lack of available resources. As we've seen in SA2, they had an entire end game set up that involves all the main cast, and I can guess the same thing was initially planned for SA1, having the characters search for each chaos emerald across the flooded city
The rings lmao obviously a bit of Freudian slip because of the series you just completed, I meant chaos emeralds lol
Would honestly make a lot of sense, might have been because it was their first attempt at 3d game as well. But a level like canons core would have been so cool to see here.
it's ironic that the series starts with sonic collecting two unavoidable rings in a fight with chaos and ends with him being short one hit fighting chaos.

Love the video and this series! And while I know it was a joke, the reasoning behind Gamma "saving" the E-series Badniks is that he's freeing the animals inside of them, much like how the birds inside Gamma and Beta are freed when they're destroyed. Beyond that, you kept calling model E-105 Delta, when it was Zeta.
Truee, I just find it funny is all. Like the way I've always understood it, is that Gamma's conscience and the birds are seperate so whilst he's saving the animals powering them he has to destroy his friends to do so.

You would need around an extra 10 rings to do it ringless.

7:00 I know you can beat him without getting the rings so it's kinda irrelevant, but you did technically get a couple rings in this fight.
Joking nitpicking aside, these videos are amazing. I can't believe you don't have like 10,000 subs already, even with the fact that you kinda just started a couple months ago and don't have many videos yet (which honestly just makes the production quality seem even more impressive). What types of games are you able to challenge run?
I was thinking for Sonic Adventure and SA2 for a challenge run, playing the game without getting any upgrades/abilities.
I'll definitely try these, right now I'm working on a challenge for SRB2, but once that releases next week SA2 will be next.

I know this comment is very late, but the funniest part about the glitch at the end with super sonic turning into normal sonic is that it's not even supposed to be possible. Charii5 found out in his own Adventure challenges of trying to beat the entirety of Adventure with only Big and Gamma respectively that if you use any character besides Super Sonic, including normal Sonic, you immediately die. So that shouldn't have even been possible to happen lol
Not sure what happened even now tbh, he still played like super sonic so the models must of switched out somehow.
You can beat super Sonic by playing again and again I have done this onces idk how but it was luck so yes it was possible to beat super Sonic story in sonic adventure
I'll have to try again sometime and make a follow up if I can do it, out of all of my attempts which lasted a few hours the furthest I could get was the final hit point.
@@challengerjakku1943 yes but the final hit is very hard but it's possible if u jump again and again it seems to use a little less rings (not sure but it seem to use less rings when I do it) beating the last one was really hard I did it cuz I was also playing in pc Version and had some Dreamcast
Mod (no cheating mods only like making the game look better) but even without mods you can beat it it's very hard but not impossible

i think the E-02 can kill eggman's robots and betray all because eggman turned on team kill during the robot duel and he never turned it off afterwards.

Gamma is technically just a robot casing thats controller by a birdbrain. So sould checks out

22:22 How the hell did that happen?! I've been playing this game for 20 years and I've never seen that. 🤣 Maybe it's a rare bug with the Dreamcast conversion mod?
At first I wasn't sure myself! 🤣 But I think it has something to do with the Debug mod I was using, to get some of the dynamic camera angles for B-Roll I was using the camera feature from the mod, you can also change character models in this as well.
I must of pressed something by mistake which ended up switching out the Super Sonic Model for just Sonic. 😅

In a few weeks time! My next Ringless challenge which will be releasing next week is Sonic Robo Blast 2, as Sonic Adventure 2 will take me some time to gather all of the footage during the routing. So once next Weeks Video is released, the next video after will be the first part of the SA2 Ringless Challenge where we take on the Hero Side. :)

I'm debating whether to use Base 06, or ChaosX P-06 since it's by far the definitive version of the game. I still might go for the original for the most authentic experience though.
