Egg drop soup made with bone broth is one of my favorite egg diet recipes! Super easy to make. Basically 2 cups bone broth brought to a simmer, with 2 beaten eggs stirred in (drizzle eggs slowly) after the bone broth starts simmering. Salt, pepper, garlic powder or other seasoning to taste. It doesn't reheat well so I usually do 1 cup broth and 1 egg because that's about all I can eat in one go. ETA when doing the egg diet I usually add a tablespoon of butter to the bowl, it melts into the hot broth and eggs. And it's super yummy!
I do something similar. Put some bone broth, a little coconut cream and some curry paste into a pot on your stove - bring to a simmer or slow boil. While this is heating, break an egg into coffee mug and whip it with a fork. Then whisk the hot stuff in the pot together and pour it into the coffee mug. Whisk with a fork and it's ready to drink
I do hot buttered broth w/eggs I like them to become 1 w/it so I can drink it as just a rich hot drink. Simmering hot broth is poured into my mason jar (I do 12oz) which has 2-3 eggs (or u can just use 4 yolks) and 2T butter and 1/4tsp s&p in, that I have first stickblended briefly (butter will clump up, that’s fine-unless u use rm temp butter!). Then I stickblend. I temper the eggs first so I don’t have egg drop soup lol Add just about 1/2c broth the first time then quickly blend, then add rest and quickly blend. I sit and drink like it’s a coffee and get so warm & full. I love it. It keeps me 6 hrs too!

It’s incredibly easy for some but harder for others so I’m always looking for new food suggestions that my patients will actually do. Diabetics will also have more side effects like nausea so it’s harder to find things that won’t make them wanna hurl. In any event, cream cheese on top of scrambled eggs - that’s a great idea! I didn’t even think of it. When you held up cream cheese I thought - “cream cheese with a spoon? No way my patients will do that!” The moment I saw you put it on top of scrambled eggs I thought - “wow!!! Genius! So simple! And that would taste great.” I guess scrambled eggs can kind of serve like the bread in some ways - depending on how you cook it - more flat like a pancake and less fluffy. Great video. However I think an egg fast is a bad idea for someone used to eating a lot more carbs than fat. Keto flu will hit fast and hard.
A little behind the science regarding fiber, constipation, cholesterol, and bio-availability. For example, the body absorbs most of the egg, so the need for bowel movements are much less frequent. This is not constipation. I've been carnivore for a year and have finally got the nutrients i needed, without the toxicity of plants. I lost 40 pounds, 14% body fat, cured a myriad of auto immune problems like rheumatoid arthritis etc., fixed my leaky gut, and have the energy and strength i did 40 years ago. If this is "extreme", then i'll take it.

Doesn’t everyone realize that the weight you drop in 5 days is water? The human body is around 55 to 60% water. Dropping carbs like this will make you happy on the scale, but it is water. To lose 10 lb. fat , you would have to have a calorie deficeit of 35,000 calories.
Ketosis and keto "diets" aren't extreme and ARE very sustainable. I've been on carnivore for 50 days and never been healthier in my adult life! Fat is melting, getting so much stronger and way more energy, off all my meds, and saving SOOOO much money every week!
For the majority of people it’s literally proven that it’s not sustainable though. I’m not hating on any diet and I’m glad that it works for YOU but that’s not usually the case.

I unfortunately am allergic to Iodine and I am continuously in the ER getting stuffed with Prednisone, (because our bodies make Iodine) and it causes me to gain a lot of weight. I use the five days in the manner I described. Not dispensing advice.

I like the fact you say weekly cheat meals. I've been feeling guilty because I have occasional cheat snacks then go a little overboard sometimes thinking I won't be able to ever eat some carbs again.
Alright I’m back with results if anyone cares. Ate eggs cheese butter black coffee splash of milk for 3 days, also ate a steak on night 3. Already mostly low carb so I wasn’t hungry had maybe 8 eggs per day. I also doubled my cardio to 20k steps ~11 miles per day and sweat bath each day. Lost about 2 pounds.
Only 2 pounds? I did my go to egg fast of black coffee, 9 eggs, tablespoons of butter, a handful of chedder cheese and my vits and 6 bottles of water a day, and I lost 8 pounds at the end of the 2nd day, by the 5th day 10pounds. Did you weigh yourself before eating that steak?
Losing "water weight" means you are losing inflammation. Since inflammation is an unhealthier thing to carry on your body than fat, we should celebrate losing water weight even MORE than losing fat weight. Also, water weight is often an "uglier" weight than fat weight, so you will look better after losing ten lbs of water weight than after losing the same amount of fat weight. So I say if someone is losing water weight, double congrats to them! 🥳🥳🥳

I have been on the ketogenic way of eating (not a diet) for 4 years, have lost 100 lbs which has been maintained for 2 years now. I am 66, I just did a 7 day egg fast, which I showed what I ate on video on my channel. The only exercise was bowling 3 leagues per week, I lost 5.8 lbs, ketones got to 5.4 after the 7 days. Never tired of eggs, loved it. Not the first one I have done! The only thing I found is not getting enough protein in any given day.

My niece had a birthday dinner at a mostly wing place the other night. I ordered seared ahi tuna, broccoli, amd grilled zuchini and squash. They all looked at me like I grew a 2nd head or something! Their fries, onion rings, breaded wings, and burgers looked great, but my food was freaking aces ❤
I’ve learned that healthy food is delicious! I’ve had to push myself to try new foods and I’ve loved it. I found it fun, exciting and delicious. I even feel proud of myself for venturing out and being healthy at the same time. Don’t worry about others. We all have to walk our own journey. Keep up the good work. 😊
I totally agree with you. I've done what you said and I've also done the egg results. I got the same result. Its not even hard to get into good shape. Just dont eat any fake processed foods, no sodas, no sugars (unless its a little real fruit), etc. I dont eat sugar. I eat what you just said. I eat it all the time and I'm shredded.

I started this diet this morning and the calories for 3 eggs, 3 tbls of butter, and 3 oz of cheese equaled 849 calories. If I did this three times a day that would equal 2547 calories. Is that correct? I am eating under 1000 calories a day on the Keto diet so how can I lose weight taking in that much?
@ I did but I only used 1 tablespoon of butter with 2 eggs along with 1/2 ounce of cheese or 2 tablespoons of butter with 3 eggs and 1/2 ounce of cheese. I did it for 5 days and lost 2.6 lbs.
@@thedragonflywhisperer8134 thank you for letting me know! That's a pretty modest loss for 5 days of a strict protocol..you must be fairly lean to begin with!
Just to be clear, it´s impossible to lose 10 lbs of ´fat´ in 3 days. Even if you eat nothing for 3-5 days you will not lose 10 lbs of fat, most of it is simply water weight and will come right back again. Keep carbs low and protein higher than usual and the fat will start to be used for energy and weight loss will result. ✌

Don't forget, if you are not on a keto or carnivore diet, 4-6 pounds of your weight loss will just be water, not fat.
When fasting your body will convert fat into energy and water. The water weight you lose is also fat loss.

Just to be clear, it´s impossible to lose 10 lbs of ´fat´ in 3 days. Even if you eat nothing for 3-5 days you will not lose 10 lbs of fat, most of it is simply water weight and will come right back again. Keep carbs low and protein higher than usual and the fat will start to be used for energy and weight loss will result. ✌

Could work. But an egg fast can help with protein for someone that wants to maintain muscle.
Three day fast is exactly what I do to jumpstart my body into ketosis every time I go back on plan. It works great.
