I just had my yearly checkup with labs after being carnivore for a little over a year. My blood work has never been better. After more than a year of eating nothing but beef, eggs, and butter. Full of saturated fat. Sometimes a dozen eggs in one day along with 5-6 pounds of ribeye steak, snacking on butter from time to time, and cooking beef fat trimmings. My total cholesterol dropped 17 points. My HDL went up 10 points. My LDL went down 25 points, and my triglycerides went down 113 points. My kidney function improved from 80 to 90. In that year, I lost 150 pounds, reversed type 2 diabetes, reversed high blood pressure, reversed low testosterone, and no longer suffer from autoimmune arthritis issues. I was also able to come off all medications.

No pasturised milk straigt from the cows. They grew all their veg kept bees and had a large orchard. They also worked very hard for long hours in all weathers. Mt sister was starting to have vision issues with diabetes on a higher carb diet. Her doctor wanted to put her medication, but she decided no medication and started with a five day fast and then the shifted to a BBBE diet for 90 days. Her vision returned to normal after her fasting, and all her blood markers returned to normal with her butter, bacon, beef, eggs diet. She lost over 20 lbs and dropped from size 14 to size 10. She looks and feels great now. I was on a keto diet, but I developed oxalate poisoning from certain veggies high in oxalates and almonds, and almond flour. I'm shifting slowly more to carnivore diet to flush out the oxalates. Watch out for too much oxalates on keto!

She did not want pills, though she was prescribed many. No one ever suggested she change her diet except for myself. After her death, we threw out gallons of medication she never took. Of the 72 Solvents and Chemical's Listed by Environment Canada there was 500 TPDay of ToXic Methanol > Formaldehyde which metabolizes to FORMIC ACID in the Liver then Lactic acid in ALL our Cells! My cellular La kept rising because Bio-diesel uses ToXic Methanol mixed with Restaurant Grease so I was inhaling it on the Roadways! My last day @ work after 3 day's of my body being like a piece of Lead (Hypoxia) my throat mouth and tongue were burning from Formic Acid! (August 13th, 2003)

We were also inhaling Aldehyde the hangover component of Legal Drinking Alcohol, and me being a non-drinker had all the damage of a Hardcore Alcoholic! Damaged Mitral Valve, Fatty Liver and depleted Thiamine! I found Paediatrician Dr.Robert Lonsdale's work on Infantile Apnea which helped greatly with my Apnea as dozens of us were Booked for the Sleep Disorder Clinic but never explained why!
Thankfully with the help of a Medical Dictionary and my first use of a Computer I first read the late Dr. Betty Martini's paper explaining the Chemical Chain of ToXic Methanol because her calling was educating the Public about Aspartame Disease because of the Formaldehyde component!
I want to Thank you for your integrity in explaining the pathway to a Keto Diet, as I was into Anaerobic glycolosis because of suffering Hypoxia, my KREB Cycle was damaged and too much Carb intake was metabolising to Lactic acid until I recognized the problem! Greetings from Venezuela. I started following your videos some weeks ago after taking a blood test that showed me a rise of triglycerides (492mg/dL) and fasting glucose (101 mg/dL). I reduced the amount of carbohydrates that I eat every day, I increased saturated fat and I walked 30 minutes per day. After 3 months I lost more than 10 kilos, my triglycerides decreased to 147, my cholesterol is at 277 and my fasting glucose decreased to 70. I cannot believe it. I knew I was overweight, and i was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in March this year. Because I had watched a lot of your videos, I made a complete dietary change. I wouldn't call it keto per se, but close. I got rid of all carb based & sugar filled foods from my pantry, fridge & freezer (I let the kids have it all), no more grain products etc. I have found a low carb bread but I only eat a couple of slices per week, and some low carb crispbread. I eat eggs, bacon, beef, lamb & chicken, full cream milk & butter for the most part. I had another round of bloodtests done in June and my blood sugar had dropped from 6.8 to 4.6, liver and kidney function were back to normal ( I had previously had fatty liver issues), no protein in urine sample, cholesterol normal. I have lost 12kg in the three months, and hope to lose some more, plus my blood pressure is back to normal. The only downside is that to eat healthy, whole foods is WAY more expensive than convenient fast foods, but I have become a compulsive food label reader just to see what is in my food. I also do OMAD or 2MAD, because I decided to only eat when I am genuinely hungry, not because the clock says it is a meal time.

I am posting from Trinidad 🇹🇹 in the West Indies. I have been watching you channel from Aughst of last year to now. I am happy to inform you that you have changed my perspective on diet and the way I interpret " good foods and bad foods." As a result of following your program I am off blood pressure medication, and cholesterol meds. The Doctors were confused when I told them that my improved blood work was not as a result of taking my med but because of me looking at my insulin resistance, intermittent fasting and removal of sugar and seed oils from my diet. Of course they objected to my stopping meds firvthe past 3 months but when I showed them my personal chart, BP moved from140/90 to an average of 124/ 80 and cholesterol 283 to 172 consistently, they took note. I also moved from 173 lbs to 160 without exercising. I just need to make time to exercise for maximum benefits. I have been sharing your posts to most of my friends and some started and are amazed. I am 62 years old and feel like 26 again. Thank you for changing my life and my mindset. May God continue to bless you richly for your marvelous work. @@drekberg Thank you so much for all your videos, Dr. Ekberg. You are one of a very few whose info I trust completely, and bc of your incredibly clear teaching style, I have learned so much from you! And bc I live in NC, I am also hoping to see you in person at your new clinic sometime this year, if I am unable to reverse everything on my own (with your helpful videos & others, ofc.).
I have one really important question to ask you, however, before I can feel confident going forward. There is a heart doctor I once had great faith in bc he taught me about lectins, which started me on the path to healing from my arthritis! But he has been pushing the idea for a couple of years now that beef, lamb, and pork ALL contain some kind of "sugar molecule" that in our blood streams leads to heart disease, strokes and even cancer; that it ISN'T saturated fat that has been the problem, ofc, but this sugar molecule instead, after all!
And I don't know what to think about this bc I have never heard another carnivore or keto doctor or influencer even mention it, let alone refute it. And it is hard to believe he would jeopardize his own reputation by misrepresenting it! And the lack of anyone refuting it only heightens my concern!
So I am appealing to you to please mention this in a future video, or even devote a short video to it, if you have any evidence to invalidate his claim. Your help w this would be very greatly appreciated!
I will say, however, that I find it highly suspicious that the only meats that supposedly have this molecule are the ones eaten most commonly, but not goats, bison, elk, etc. Isn't that strange? It's almost as if the animals themselves, or their feed, have been genetically modified to create this problem and force the claims about red meat being cancer causing to be true. AND why would that doctor be the only one who knows something about it?
Anyway, again, thank you so much for ALL you do, and thank you for your kind consideration of my request.

I finally started changing my diet from a standard American diet to carnivore in January. I went straight into one meal a day, but I still had my daily energy drink which I was already phasing from a high amount of sugar to just sugar alcohol, but eliminated anything other than water after about a month. I'm a bit over 90 days in and I've lost about 50 pounds. I eat primarily steaks and I get some bacon once in a while. I'm fitting into shirts from when I was in the 82nd Airborne (2000-2004). I know at my peak the VA had me at 251 in my street clothes in June 2020, but was probably around 230-235 when I changed my diet. This morning I am 184.7 lbs. My blood pressure has also dropped dramatically from 147/91 to an average of 105/76. I have to admit, one of the main reasons I decided to go all in was because I watched several of Dr Ekberg's videos explaining how the body uses the foods you eat and what it really needs. He breaks things down more than probably any other channel on TH-cam. Combined with information from several other Drs on TH-cam and other people on the carnivore diet, I had to try it. There is absolutely zero chance I'll be returning to a standard American diet. A friend of mine was intrigued and she's already down 11 lbs and about 20 points of blood pressure after a little over 30 days. We really need a proper study on Keto/Carnivore so we can reverse 50 or so years of misinformation on diet because we are definitely not getting healthier as a society trying to follow the guidelines.

Carnivore is ok for some, but the the majority of the problem of the American diet is, its not REAL food. Its so processed that its perhaps 30% food? So much filler, additives, colourants, etc. Should limit your carb intake of course, but even the whole food diet would do wonders for the average western citizen.

I've been on the Carnivore Diet since 5th January 2023. Have lost 33 pounds. Have lowered my blood pressure by 40 points and am no longer pre-diabetic. Swollen and painful ankles gone. My husband is down 12 pounds (he started mid-March). He's off his blood pressure tablets and his anti-coagulant - he had 2 separate clots in his lower leg. This way of eating is fantastic. Great health benefits, no cravings, never hungry. Am 64. This is the first time in my life (of dieting for 50 years) that I have felt normal and in control. However, I don't eat bacon - would not want to consume the cheap salt in bacon or any processed or deli meats. I eat all meats, poultry, eggs, butter, fish and have cream in my coffee. It's a proper human diet.

I am so thankful I found this channel. I have got a long ways to go. I had some catastrophic events in 2019 and 2020. I stopped everything, sat on the couch playing video game, watching TH-cam videos (not this one, obviously), and just staring into the abyss of the internet. I ate and drank anything that could help get me numb. I pretty much gave up. I became obese and am on BP meds and recently started cholesterol meds. I was trying to start back at the gym, but my knee is arthritic and I can't walk on it for a long period of time - hoping the new way of eating will help a little bit, and one of the worst things - edema. I get up all through the night going to the bathroom now. I have been eating "right" for about 1.5 weeks, and in that short amount of time, I am feeling better. I have to keep going. I want to get on the IF, but I am not good at that - yet.

I’m starting to see my 6 pack after a month of eating nothing but fatty foods with salt, protein and very very low carbs. The most carbs I’ve had was a little over 30 grams but I strive to keep it under 20 grams. This result was also due to an hour of exercise about 4-5 times a week. I’m a mechanic in the military. For pt, I bike to our company (about a mile) I also bike to work which is about a mile there and back. A mile to the gym and back. With all that said, the results are also, my skin looks brighter, my anxiety is practically gone (I’ve had 3 anxiety attacks in my entire life. 2 resulted to a trip to the ER). I’ve also had trouble sleeping due to hyperventilating before going to bed. That changed after eating carnivore. It’s definitely a life changing experience.

A lot of what you're saying on the carnivore diet is because you cut the sugar. I started the carnivore diet at the beginning of November and I have nothing but good results. If nothing else cut the sugar that's where all the anxiety and lack of focus comes from. Stop for a minute and start looking at everything that contains sugar and keep in mind you should ONLY be eating about 25g a day.

One interesting little nugget I found out through experiment, and please note this isn't the holistic effect but a part, is you tend to consume more choline on this diet. I didn't really know anything about choline before but it truns out is really important for brain function, there's quite a lot in eggs and meat/fish. I now keep a back up choline supplement incase I'm not able to eat those things for any reason, it completely eliminates brain fog (at least in my experience).

I just discovered your videos and I am so glad I did. I was relieved to hear you recommend some vegetables in the diet. That feels more right than just eggs and beef every day. Maybe I've just been programmed wrong, but I can't settle it mentally that an exclusively high fat diet is good for me. I am 46, probably about 45-50 lbs overweight, absolutely love carbs and sugar, and have moderately high blood pressure. I do workout and exercise fairly regularly. I am just now starting to take my health really seriously and am researching the exact right changes for me and my body. I know that cutting out sugar and simple carbs are good for anyone, so there's no controversy there. For me, cutting out breads and pasta will be much harder than cookies and ice cream (which I love). The feeling of satisfaction after a meal for me comes from pasta and bread really. I assume that there are very low carb versions of some of these things I can hopefully keep in my diet. I do love meat - but I am afraid I'd get sick of it if that was all I ate. I don't hear much mention of pork (other than bacon of course). I love a good pork tenderloin which I enjoy with broccoli regularly. I hope this is a good choice. What about extra virgin olive oil? I have been using this a lot lately with turmeric, pepper, and cayenne for the blood and digestive benefits.
Probably the most frustrating part of researching all of this is that there are doctors right here on YT with millions of devoted followers all claiming that their advice is the way to go - and yet they conflict with each other in a lot of ways. So who to listen to? The bloodwork report in this video is a huge plus and really shows the results of the various experiments. So I am trusting you and your advice.

I'm 65 and I've literally tried EVERY diet under the sun. I was astonished to learn IF I was craving sugar/carbs eating some fat (bacon, cheese, butter, prime rib fat) would quickly alleviate "the sugar cravings". I suspect this is because my body associates carbs to fat due to a long history of eating processed foods.
      Try it!

Doctors' information is valuable, but anecdotal evidence from tens of thousands of people is useful too. Read comments under a video from Dr Berry, or Dr Chaffee.
