I'm so excited that I found you two on you tube. I've tried keto before and lost alot of weight, then got remarried gained 40 pounds lol, now after 7 years I just started keto again. I'm a nurse at a nursing home they always have donuts biscuits and gravy ect. Its hard but on my lunch breaks I watch you two and im inspired!!! Three days ago I started I need to lose 50 pounds wish me luck. Thankyou for all your ideas.
Reminds me of myself. My work has all this good food all the time and following it consistently becomes such a struggle. I hate the way I look right now. Felt so much better when I was 170 and now I’m 220

I do egg fasts every so often and they're much easier than beef/meat fasts. Worst case scenario, you can just down eggs raw, which I usually do because I don't like scrambled eggs and it takes a long time to prep hard boiled eggs (well, a long time for me with working 60+ hours a week). They're easy to find, cheap to buy and portion control and calore/carb tracking is easy. After day 2, you really just lose your appetite and hunger. Very effective.
I made scrambled eggs cooked in coconut oil and coconut cream with freeze dried basil, lemon pepper and garlic salt. Turned out delicious! Coconut cream makes very light and sweet tasting eggs. Highly recommend trying coconut cream in your eggs! I'm not a keto expert by any means but I don't think it's good to focus on calories or pounds. I started keto and IF fall 2021 and weighed myself at beginning and 3 months later had lost 16#. Ate mainly non starchy veggies, healthy fats, eggs, fatty fishes and fatty meats. Drink coffee, probably 16oz a day with coconut cream and MCT oil, cinnamon and cacao. I don't eat more than 16oz of protein a day and I make sure I eat 7-10 cups of veggies, with nuts, seeds a day. I notice when I don't eat like this, I start to feel myself gain weight in my belly. I have that typical apple/insulin resistant shape and I let my body tell me what I need more of/less of. When I add cheese I gain! When I add even good artificial sugars, I gain. I think clean eating is the key. I might like to lose another 5-10# but it will really depend on how my gut feels! Literally. I either do OMAD or 2nd small meal within 4 hours of first. Hunger hasnt been an issue! I think IF/OMAD is my choice for life. Love not having to think about food/ spend time on it all day!
I have gone on and off keto so many times because it always seems daunting. But I'm at a point that my life depends on it to be honest. I just found your channel a few days ago while looking onto chaffles and I'm hooked! The two of you are so much more realistic about the entire process and so honest and it makes me feel like I'm not the only person who struggles to just do it. I've watched your "start here" videos and they really helped my state of mind. So many give unrealistic goals and they lie about how they really got to where they are, which leaves the average person feeling like a failure. It's nice to see others say they struggle, they cry, they're embarrassed and they feel shamed because those are the true feelings of weight problems. I quit smoking 2 years ago after 30 years of it so I know if I just keep with it for a short time, a longer time gets easier but i guess my food, sugar and carb, adiction is stronger than nicotine addiction was because I just can't kick it. We have 20 days food prepped in the freezer now, 16 hours of cooking last Sunday lol, so wish me luck and keep up the great videos. You two are an inspiration!

After losing 33.2 lbs and watching your video, I decided to try the egg diet. My first day, I lost 3 lbs. The second day, I lost 1.9 lbs and the third day, I lost 1.5 lbs. I am not doing this for more than four days, so today is my last day. I’m thinking tomorrow maybe 1 or .5 lbs. Anyway, love your videos. Thanks for sharing. ❤
Egg salad is another variation I used during my egg fast. I never thought about steak for the beef fast. I was going as cheap as possible so I did ground beef. 💋🧚🏻♀️❤️🇺🇸
@@ketotwins Don't forget that the original chaffle was just egg and cheese (either mixed together or layered in the mini-waffle maker. Add some spices too!)... something to put your egg salad on.

I got my idea to do an egg fest from a couple of other videos that I saw on TH-cam. they had several ideas and recipes of other things to make with eggs, cheese and butter to keep it interesting. Such as pancakes, crêpes, pizza, and even lemon bars for dessert.
Herbs de Provence are very good in basic scrambled eggs. Also cream cheese added just before plating is very in good in basic scrambled eggs. I don't care for both at the same time.
I doctored my eggs this morning. First I will say, I am not 100% keto, just sticking my big toe in the keto pool for now. So, that being said... I started with a little olive oil (that is all I had today), then sprinkled in some dried minced onion, broke my eggs in and stirred them around a little before adding about a quarter cup of water and a dash or 2 of hot sauce then kept stirring the eggs till done. I think they turned out really good.

Inspired by your video (and a few others I also checked out before embarking on it), I did a 5-day Egg Fast last week, but with completely different results from Sara's. The first two days, I lost a bit, 1.5 lbs or so, but starting on the 3rd day, something happened with my digestion, and I unexpectedly began to put weight back on. By the end of the fast, I was back weighing exactly what I had weighed at the beginning of the fast, but with 3 days of loose stools behind me. I think something triggered a fair bit of inflammation in my body because, given the amount of calories I was consuming during the fast, I should have lost at least a couple of pounds. I have quite stubborn and severe insulin resistance and my pancreas is definitely overworked and overburdened, so it may be that the fast exacerbated things for it, resulting in inflammation, etc. In any case, I'm reporting my experience here in case it may benefit someone else. I'm now planning on doing a beef fast next week! 🙂
My understanding is that you should have 1 TBSP of butter or avocado oil with each egg. Specific cheeses are allowed. Pasture raised eggs have a better nutrient profile than grass-fed beef, though they have less calories.

Amazing WL journey, but I would love to know if you have any videos discussing your overall health numbers, like BP, Cholesterol, Liver and Kidney markers. I'm sure your sugar numbers are low, but I'm always interested to see how keto affects each individuals numbers, and since you are twins it would be interesting to see how you match up in that department. Very cool concept seeing different diets on twins! Thanks for sharing this. I'm only about halfway thru, so maybe you cover this but it doesnt sound like the two diets were comparable in macros at all. 6 eggs is only about 36g of protein. 2 steaks, depending on size, is likely closer to 80g protein. Also wondering how hungry or satiated either of you were on each diet.... Still watching...

What's everyone's opinion on still using Perfect Keto collagen powder while doing the egg fast? Havent seen anyone use it while fasting,but also haven't heard anyone say that one shouldn't either. Would you two ever have a desire to try this again now that it is one year later but swap who is doing which fast?
What a great idea!! I never thought of that w/ my twins! That's actually how we all got introduced to Keto, I had heard about this crazy egg-fast that Jimmy Moore did for 28 and he lost a s**t-ton of weight... So I thought, why not? I LOVE eggs! I lost 7 lbs, one of the twins lost 9 lbs, and the other gave up after 2 days because she decoded that she hated eggs all of a sudden. 😆 Then the twins went on to do a beef & butter fast and I just couldn't. I didn't wanna ruin steak or hamburger..because honestly the egg-fast stole my love of eggs, Lol. I think that was 4 yrs ago, and still I just struggle eating eggs. Omelets, scrambled, even those egg-bites from Starbucks... 🤢 I have to be like STARVING to willingly eat them. It's so sad! Plus eggs are like the perfect keto food!! Great job ladies, and again, brilliant idea! 💡 Oh PS: wanted to tell ya that instead of going back to "normal keto" eating on day 6, I chose to do the egg-fast for bkfst and lunch, then had a small all meat dinner (no veg). Then Day 7 I did eggs for bkfst, all meat lunch, and meat w/ small amt veg for dinner. You get the idea, I didn't want gain even an ounce back so I slowly tapered down off the eggs. The girls didn't, and they had immediate rebound weight gain.

I'm starting to alternate eggs and butter, then the next day, just beef and butter, and continue this for 6 days, followed by my usual beef butter and eggs diet to check any differences it my cause some diet confusion benefits.

Just watched a video on “slutty eggs”. 1 tbsp butter/2 eggs. Begin in cold stick-proof skillet, keep stirring over LOW heat. Remove before it looks done. The remaining bits scrape over top. Salt to taste. Not supposed to taste like eggs.
Whoosh? This gives me pause. I expect that one who goes Carnivore will experience “woosh” to use your term. Afterwords one would normally have a few days of no bowel movements resulting in resumption in bowel movements but less volume. If your stools are hard you’re not ingesting enough fat. Let’s note that every time one changes the ratio of macros they can end up with loose stool. Most of the Carnivores I treat note they only get the woosh again when they’ve gone off the diet and then went back on. For example they had a cheat day and ingested fiber ( bread, chip, potatoes, salads). Eating 12-14 eggs cooked drenched in butter a day only, in my experience results in soft stool not watery. Not the “woosh”. I would note that the water is not coming from fats cells. Rather a sudden change of high protein in bowel lumen causes an osmotic effect gradient drawing water into the bowel. And thus your woosh. Fiber constipates. Fiber may increase frequency and will definitely increase the volume as well as gas production, & in some cause heart burn due to the decrease in transit. A typical chicken egg has 6 g of protein & 5 g of fat. For one wanting to get into ketosis eggs are almost the perfect food. The average steak has two proteins to one fat. Do you need to add fat if ketosis is your goal. High protein will stimulate an insulin surge and your back on the glucose insulin roller coaster. Food for thought. Carnivore keto is the pathway to healing most of our chronic modern diseases. Just my two cents. Dr. Ginge

Im fat fasting, myself. Ive dropped 6.3 lbs so far in 4 days. Im eating a mix- just keeping my carbs below 5 gm.

Sprinkling nutritional yeast on scrambled eggs helped me with my eggs fast. Deviled eggs too

What's everyone's opinion on still using Perfect Keto collagen powder while doing the egg fast? Havent seen anyone use it while fasting,but also haven't heard anyone say that one shouldn't either.

What a great idea!! I never thought of that w/ my twins! That's actually how we all got introduced to Keto, I had heard about this crazy egg-fast that Jimmy Moore did for 28 and he lost a s**t-ton of weight... So I thought, why not? I LOVE eggs! I lost 7 lbs, one of the twins lost 9 lbs, and the other gave up after 2 days because she decoded that she hated eggs all of a sudden. 😆 Then the twins went on to do a beef & butter fast and I just couldn't. I didn't wanna ruin steak or hamburger..because honestly the egg-fast stole my love of eggs, Lol. I think that was 4 yrs ago, and still I just struggle eating eggs. Omelets, scrambled, even those egg-bites from Starbucks... 🤢 I have to be like STARVING to willingly eat them. It's so sad! Plus eggs are like the perfect keto food!! Great job ladies, and again, brilliant idea! 💡
Oh PS: wanted to tell ya that instead of going back to "normal keto" eating on day 6, I chose to do the egg-fast for bkfst and lunch, then had a small all meat dinner (no veg). Then Day 7 I did eggs for bkfst, all meat lunch, and meat w/ small amt veg for dinner. You get the idea, I didn't want gain even an ounce back so I slowly tapered down off the eggs. The girls didn't, and they had immediate rebound weight gain.
I’m not sure what it is about eggs that’s so easy to hate 😂 luckily I (emily) got to do the beef fast and while I got bored of it pretty quick I am still eating steak a week later (although not everyday...!) Wow, 7 lbs is amazing! It might be worth suffering through if I could drop 7 lbs 😆... hmmm.. something to ponder about.-Emily

I'm starting to alternate eggs and butter, then the next day, just beef and butter, and continue this for 6 days, followed by my usual beef butter and eggs diet to check any differences it my cause some diet confusion benefits.

I WISH the thought of food was secondary to me. I HYPER focus. (Sought help for this....was dx with a disorder) Fasting catupults that hyper focus. Ugh.
I have done sardine fasts...usually lose one pound per day! I usually do three days.

Could you make a change everyday eggs one day and steak the next alternating for 5 days and see how that works? I'm not new to keto but I'm new to the new info cuz I haven't been on it for several years

Just watched a video on “slutty eggs”. 1 tbsp butter/2 eggs. Begin in cold stick-proof skillet, keep stirring over LOW heat. Remove before it looks done. The remaining bits scrape over top. Salt to taste. Not supposed to taste like eggs.

Whoosh? This gives me pause. I expect that one who goes Carnivore will experience “woosh” to use your term. Afterwords one would normally have a few days of no bowel movements resulting in resumption in bowel movements but less volume. If your stools are hard you’re not ingesting enough fat. Let’s note that every time one changes the ratio of macros they can end up with loose stool. Most of the Carnivores I treat note they only get the woosh again when they’ve gone off the diet and then went back on. For example they had a cheat day and ingested fiber ( bread, chip, potatoes, salads). Eating 12-14 eggs cooked drenched in butter a day only, in my experience results in soft stool not watery. Not the “woosh”. I would note that the water is not coming from fats cells. Rather a sudden change of high protein in bowel lumen causes an osmotic effect gradient drawing water into the bowel. And thus your woosh. Fiber constipates. Fiber may increase frequency and will definitely increase the volume as well as gas production, & in some cause heart burn due to the decrease in transit. A typical chicken egg has 6 g of protein & 5 g of fat. For one wanting to get into ketosis eggs are almost the perfect food. The average steak has two proteins to one fat. Do you need to add fat if ketosis is your goal. High protein will stimulate an insulin surge and your back on the glucose insulin roller coaster. Food for thought. Carnivore keto is the pathway to healing most of our chronic modern diseases. Just my two cents. Dr. Ginge
