    It’s truly horrifying how effective the “my child” lie is to kidnappers. My mom told me a blood chilling story she read about, either in an article in the news or a magazine, there was this one time a mother was in a store shopping and her husband was outside I entertaining their child in his/her baby seat, and some lady walks by and just casually scoops up the baby seat with the man’s baby in it!
    Obviously he goes after her and tries to take his baby back but then she screams that some man is trying to steal her baby! Three men charge in out of nowhere, tackle the poor guy and start beating on him and the woman makes it all the way to her truck and even gets the door open with the baby still in her hand! But by some miracle the real mother comes out of the store just in time to see what’s happening, books it to the kidnapper and manages to get her baby back and the woman decides to cut her losses and drives off.
    The baby was saved without a second to spare and the husband had to go to the hospital but made a full recovery. It’s just so frightening how easily the woman almost got away with the child, and the way those men trying to be heroes unwittingly almost became accomplices in the very crime they thought they were preventing! Not too mention the injuries they inflicted on a man trying to rescue his baby!
    At the scene of an alleged kidnapping I think a good rule of thumb is, nobody leaves until the proof can be provided by the child’s true parents, and if the authorities can be there when the proof is provided, all the better!

      I'm glad that I can be protected like that as a woman with a baby BUT! I would feel weird if they didn't have me stick around to prove my parentage. It would be nice to be able to prove these things on the spot but sometimes, the evidence isn't there, especially in the case of an adopted baby (can't even ask baby to tell the authorities).

      @@iyaayas that’s why it’s good to carry pictures. One woman in a shop was dragging her complaining son through the store and then at some point the boy screamed, “YOU’RE NOT MY MOM!!” Out of nowhere a group of mothers had her surrounded. She might’ve been stuck there much longer but fortunately she had some photos in her purse. She had to drop that boy off with a family friend for a little while because she didn’t trust herself to be alone with her son until she cooled off some. But after she did cool off she found it comforting to know there were that many mothers around ready to stop a kidnapping at a moments notice.
      Also a good thing that the group of mothers were the ask questions first throw punches later types.

      Sadly, I think those men who beat up on the father should be punished for assault. It's good that they tried to prevent a kidnapping, but this country has gotten way too "hit first ask questions later" and not only could they have seriously hurt the poor man, but they almost let the kidnapper get away.

    My advice to anybody who gets grabbed like that ... bite. Pull yourself to the grabber's arm and chomp down on it like you're intending to rip off a chunk of flesh and eat it raw. Few people are going to keep their grip on you in that situation.

      Also scratch them to acquire a good solid DNA sample. 👍🏼 and choose words carefully, saying "I'm not your daughter" could be seen by others as an actual daughter trying to be hurtful towards a parent trying to discipline her. Instead shout something like "I do not know this person, please help, call the police," because no daughter getting disciplined for stealing is going to ask for law enforcement. Scary stuff!!

      I don't want to get into it, but, on instinct, during an altercation on the bus, I ended up throwing a full-on throatpunch when the bastard spat at me. It only registered that I'd struck him when his back hit the floor, and the bus shook. It took him a good while to stop choking, and longer to get back up.
      If I had hit him _slightly_ harder, or with better aim, I'd have collapsed his windpipe and killed him. In any future life-or-death situations, once I realize it's "escape or die", I will literally be going for the throat. If someone is being manhandled and fears for their life, I suggest the same.

    As soon as a stranger grabs your arm, it's assault. Since it is a stranger, you have no idea what their intentions are. If a stranger grabs my arm ( and they weren't pulling me from some danger) the only safe assumption you can make is that stranger means to kill you. You should respond accordingly, driving your thumbs into their eyes is one suggestion.

    My first job was in a shoe store. We always tried to fit a customer by stretching a heel or toe so they would feel more "broken-in." I had a woman that I just couldn't seem to please. She finally asked me to check the back for any more so I took the shoes back to reshelve and discovered there were no more pairs in her size. I took the same pair back out to her and said with a smile "Try these." She tried the same shoes on again and exclaimed "This pair is perfect! I'll take them." I did really well in retail.

Since I wasn't being a good lemming and kowtowing to her insane demands, she asked me if I liked my job, I told her no. Aghast, she told me I was lucky to have a job. I told her she was lucky to have a husband. You should have seen her jaw hit the floor. Naturally, she did what all Karens do and she went to speak to my manager. The one who actually liked me was on shift that day. When she was informed that I wasn't going to be fired because it was literally my last day on the job, the Karen almost threw a tantrum that would embarrassed a toddler. For context, she was a middle-aged woman with two grown children and was a grandmother. I think it's safe to say she was used to people coddling her and giving her what she wanted to avoid one of her infamous meltdowns. She even tried to follow me out to my car and keep yelling at me. I stopped her cold by asking her if she ever got to see her grandkids.

    The first story was obvious where it was going, I already knew the OP had some large "assets" and was probably wearing a white tank top before DarkFluff even got to that part.
    The second story reminds me of why I never did any clubbing in my young adult years. There's always some moron that they think they are more important than anyone else there.
    I've heard the third story on other channels, but is still crazy rehearing it. The fact that people tried to kidnap some random kid just to try to save face just seems so absurd, but you'd be surprised on how common this can happen.
    A retail place I used to work at had some kid screaming to be let go by this adult as he was trying to leave dragging this child with him. I stopped the guy because I had a feeling something was off. The guy tried to push past me, but I did not budge as I yelled at him to let go of the kid. He took a swing at me with his free hand and I saw it coming a mile away and I took my own shot at him, right in this throat. As this guy is gagging right in front of me, I see some woman run up and the kid hugs her leg. I yelled to a coworker to call the cops and the man managed to push past me right as I said that. I only chased the guy to see what vehicle he jumped into and got the plate number. Sadly nothing further came of it as the store manager refused to get involved and forced all the employees to shut up even after I gave the kid's mother the vehicle description and plate number as she did call the police herself, but the cops could not do anything as the store refused to get involved without a warrant and since it was only two people's word (mine and the mom), the police would not press for anything. Never saw the guy ever again though.
    I love the last story. Definitely made several employees' day with that bit of pettiness the OP decided to pull.

    If Karens do the "excuse me" and "you're lying you're an employee" thing, don't stand there and have a conversation with them, just ignore them and walk away. If someone touches me first, all bets are off. If a drunk does something like story 3, you grab the guy's shoulders, put your leg behind theirs, drive your foot into the back of their knee, and shove. That will knock anyone over instantly, don't care how strong or how big they are. I think that's a judo move actually.

    • @Furrhan
      @Furrhan 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I wouldn't bother trying any fancy judo stuff if you're not trained. Chances are it won't work, and in a potential life-or-death situation you want to incapacitate the person as fast as possible, not just knock them over. I'd aim for the crotch first as that's likely the easiest target and will incapacitate most men. If that doesn't work, bite, go for the throat, go for the eyes, anything soft. And scream. And as soon as they lose their grip on you, you run.

    • @TheAttacker732
      @TheAttacker732 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      If you carry, that situation would justify drawing & opening fire pretty much anywhere that has 'shall issue' CCW permits. And continuing to fire until they let go/lose their grip (I.E. the threat stops), or you run out of ammunition. Whichever comes first.
      And remember, you're *not* shooting to kill, you're specifically shooting *to stop the threat.* Important distinction.

    11:56 this is actually kinda scary because this was something kidnappers were doing they basically confuse their target and get them out or drug them
    in some cases when isolated they will drug you and then claim their your buddy and had to much to drink and try to play it off...
    they kinda try and confuse you and keep you occupied that it's a misunderstanding until you are isolated and well they can bound you and gag or drug you...buddy system is key...
    something similar happened in a movie theater a couple of months ago where a mom took her kids to the movies and she was concerned her daughter wasn't out of the restroom yet, she went in and saw two other women holding her daughter up and the 2 women casually tried to play it off like "their buddy" had to much to drink and that they were just going to forget about the movie and go home...mother immediately yelled for help and told the two women to release her daughter and after a failed attempt of them again trying to clain they were all buddies they bolted...
    they got away and haven't heard any updates
    but have a heard of a lot of creepy similar stories that result in human trafficking

    The 2nd story reminds me of a friend of mine and my husbands roommate. I offered to be designated driver for our roommate & his friend (I knew him a bit too) one night. About an hour after getting there I had to beg this guy not to knock my roommates friend out because he was already so drunk he kept trying to take other peoples beers or drinks. The dance floor had a counter like table that ran the length of the walls with bar stools for people to sit on. Lots of people had their drinks there while dancing and he would just grab whatever and try to drink it. I finally got him to leave when the bouncer just about threw him out. It was ridiculous, I was angry and embarrassed. I told him I would never drive him again.

    Oh Fluff, most of my stories I tell start with, "One time I was at a bar..." LOL. I went to a bar in Alcoa TN once. It was next to my hotel and was called The Cellar Bar... because it was a bar, in a cellar. Go figure. I was an auditor for my company and was there to do an audit on our Maryville office. I go in, and it is wall to wall hillbillies. I sit down at the bar and beside a gentleman, and here comes a the cute bartender in her Daisy Duke cutoffs, and said, "What will you be haven Sugar?" I got my Budweiser and the guy next to me says "Where yer fromme?" I said, "Texas". He said, "What yer doin hea?" I said, "I'm a company auditor" (ok, should have remembered were I was). He said, "A what?" I said, "A company auditor" realizing I was getting in deep. He said, "We don't like no revenuers around hea!" I said, "I am a COMPANY auditor." He said again, a little louder with his voice starting to shake, "We don't like no revenuers around hea!" I am thinking, 'Oh hell, I am fixing to have to fight my way out of this bar'. At this point, the bartender in her Daisy Dukes interjected herself and said, "Now Cebo. He works for a company. He is NOT from the IRS." He said, "Oh. Can I buy you a beer." Which I happily accepted (to turn it down would have been a HUGE slap in the face to this guy). I drank my beer, bought him one too, and left. Lesson: Always know your surroundings and the perceptions of the people in those surroundings. And never use the word "auditor" anywhere near the mountains of Tennessee.

Me on the other hand would talk with them, laugh at their drunk jokes and even gave a few hugs when they were having a bad day. One day a guy that I had never seen there before insulted me about my weight (yes I’m on the plus side but was in the top of my classes in self defense). He was getting madder because I would not take his bait. He walked up to me a yelled right in my face. The other customers and bouncer came running to my defense and were going to start fighting him. I told them to stop because I did not want anyone to go to jail so we all walked him outside. Well as we were walking back in he grabbed my hair and pulled me back. I turned around and kicked him in the balls and then sat on him until the cops came. They asked what happened and we all told them. He asked if I wanted to press charges and I said no but I wanted him banned from the property. I received a letter and a gift card from him. He apologized and said that he was sorry for the way he acted.
