Why is it that none of these people dealing with Karen don’t ask, “Are you wearing your hearing aids” in a really slow, very distinct, raised voice manner? It’s a question that generally causes people to stop flapping their lips and engage their ears for a second. It’s always better if you add, “You may need to turn it up because you’re having a hard time hearing me” while adding the twisting hand motion next to your ear for increased volume! Karens don’t hear well and despite their use of English, they are often not able to understand it when it’s directed at them.

There's a quick story for you I'm a fuel attendant at a gas station of course and I had a customer pay for gas she didn't get her discount at the pump and instead of handling it like a normal person she screams and wouldn't stop about her discount and just kept screaming I got a manager to talk to her to see if we could help and the manager couldn't do anything and she just kept screaming all about her discount and she wouldn't take any help Karen's are crazy

Hell I had a customer when I worked at a gas station that threw a fit because I wouldn't give her a cash refund after she overpaid for gas with a credit card. Still kinda impressed she had the stupidity to call the cops on me for theft and got arrested for outstanding warrants.

Hell in Ohio if you grab someone who is armed (which given it's an open carry state) it's actually legal for them to respond by shooting you.
The legal logic behind this is that if you are grabbing an obviously armed stranger your intent may be to take their weapon which is just cause for lethal force. I'm honestly surprised a Karen hasn't been shot in that state.

Having broken my ankle, with my toes pointing East whilst my knee still pointed North, I can see why she was screeching in pain !
The difference in travelling to the hospital would be that I had to hold my clasped hands under my right knee to stop my now ‘loose’ foot hitting the floor as we sped off to Manchester Royal Infirmary (Manchester, England, U.K.)
Of course, the ambulance hits a bump in the road and my foot hits the floor causing me to scream out in agony !
This all happened December 14, 1989 when I was 20 years old and during an Ambulance drivers strike, hence why there was nobody in the back of the ambulance with me.
33 years later and I’m still having problems with my ankle and I’m permanently on crutches (I have been diagnosed with other medical problems since, that mean I lose my balance a lot, so my crutches help with that too)

My IDontWorkHereLady story ( well...one of them ).
I'm tired of being recognised for someone I'm not as well...even when I'm NOT the person they 'recognised'...it's ( usually ) infuriating and takes up my time. BUT...this time at least it ended funny.
I get mistaken for people in other occupations a lot ( oh BOY do I !). But I'm often mistaken for a cop...maybe it's because I'm 6 ft 2 " tall and weigh in at around 220 Lbs...and I'm told ( even by REAL cops ) that I have the 'look'.
I've been mistaken for a high court judge ( Truro crown court In Cornwall UK ) who was due to sit on a murder trail ( could have been interesting ). Army, Navy, air force and Royal Marine officers...I was once TOLD point blank I was a member of parliament...and so on :-/
But my best / worst was while visiting a lady friend in Northampton general hospital. I'd got to the ward she was on and get greeted with a kiss and a hug...then she asks me if there's ANY chance ( pretty please with sugar on top ) that I could nip down to the cafeteria and get her a 'decent cup of coffee'...sure...no problem I could do with one myself.
The cafeteria at Northampton general hospital is on the lower ground floor ( I 'spose you 'could' call it the basement )...and it's waaay along at the far end...s'long walk !
I should also mention that I'm 'dressed'...which for today means a three piece suit, shirt and a nice silk tie...I'm also 6 feet 2 inches tall...just so your mental 'eye' has an idea as to what I looked like.
So I'm walking along and up ahead of me I spotted a tall blonde woman ( I tend to spot tall women rather quickly...for obvious reasons ). She's talking to three nurses, then she looks up and spots me...I catch the look and think "uh ooh".
She excuses herself from the nurses saying she needs to speak to me ( I can lip read ) and heads in my direction. Now...I've had a fair number of strange encounters over the years ( I was about 60 years old at the time ) but this is shaping up to be one of the strangest ( so far anyway ).
Me is ME ( duh ). Woman is SL strange...( but cute ! ) lady.
She links her arm through mine and informs me she has an appointment to see me the next day.
    ME : "ummm...I don't think so"
    SL 'Oh yes !..10.30 appointment'!
Nurses come rushing over and inform SL that she's made a mistake and I don't work at hospital...she looked at me dumbfounded.
THEN we find out exactly WHO she had mistaken me for...her Gynaecologist !
After she blushes beetroot red she apologises, dipped her hand into her purse and passed me her card...with the phrase I shall NEVER forget.
'Well...next time your in the area why don't you look me up' !
It took a few seconds...then the nurses and I almost screamed with laughter.
And poor SL turned an even brighter shade of red.

Hey Fluff, got a story for you.
I worked in petrol stations for years. Still do. One I used to work at had American style service as we called it (fill customers car, clean glass, all that jazz). Everyone in my town knows me from the station I used to work in and my car (I live in England and drive an 80's American police car). I'm in a gas station filling up the beast. Note this wasn't the one I used to work at or the one I currently work at. This Karen pulled and got out immediately 'Come fill my car!'.
I heard her and looked over to her (old hadits) while still filling my five0 and just respond with 'Eh?'. Tired after a nightshift.
'Come fill up my car!' She repeated.
'Why?' Again I'm tired and being a IDWHL fan, I knew what was coming and didn't want to deal with it. So I go in and pay for my gas.
'Why won't you fill my car? She whaled when I came back out.
    'I don't work here!'.
'You work at the other station, by the motorway' she shouted over the traffic.
'No, I left years ago. I work at another station'
Her logic 'That means you work at all of them'.
And I got in my car to leave. I had enough of Karen. The station had traffic lights right outside the exit and it was red. I spotted in my mirror that she was taking pictures. The lights turned green before any further interaction.
But that wasn't the end of it. She drove 6 miles to the station I work at and complained to my manager about me not doing my job with video evidence no less.
My manager doesn't take prisons. She confirmed that I was out of uniform, off site, off the clock, demanding a service that this station didn't provide and filling my own car at a rival companies station. My manager told her to grow up and get the hell out of her station.
