If you choose to use dowels rather than pegs, you have more flat surfaces to drop on your build plate and potentially save on support material. It would also eliminate the chance of pegs that dont fit since dowels can be scaled.
I didn't know that thanks. But I personally just don't like dowels as much.
@boundlessperception1466 To each their own of course.
Thanks. My pegs haven't been fitting. I'll try dowels.
This is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for this past week! Definitely gonna put this to use, thank you!
You very welcome. Glad the videos are helping someone :)
Great video , quick & straight to the point! I have luban installed & it was staring at me back 😂😂. Thank you boss!💪🏼👏🏽👏🏽
using this for race car molds THANK YOU!!
This is amazing, this will save a ton of time keying parts! Dude seriously this is a god-send. Thanks so much. I was planning on doing a video showing how to do this with Blender or MeshMixer, but this is way more of a tool for that job. I mean you don't seem to have control over all of it, but man I don't mind as long as the parts work. Thanks for sharing this. Cheers!
So glad this actually helped someone. Youre very welcome!!!
@@boundlessperception1466 You have no idea, how much. I have a few BIG ideas that need keying, This will save so much time!!
Were getting closer and closer every day to being able to download a car.
NICE !!! Thank you SOOO much for this video, literally took me 5 minutes to do what I wanted to do in F360 for the last 4 months!! I've been looking for something like this for 9 damn years man !! I was about to go to town on Fusion 360 but nope ... focusing on Luban for what I want to do with 3d modeling.
Youre very welcome so glad it helped someone!
HOLY CRAP. Dude this gets you a subscribe immediately. I have many different fabrication needs and I have been so angry for a few years that Autodesk stopped supporting Slicer for Fusion which did SOME of these processes. This app is amazing if it does what it says. I'll be doing a trial ASAP and then making a video targeted at all the upset Autodesk users. Great, great find man!!!! Thank you so much for getting this info out! Wow. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤🔥
You know scratch that... I'm not even a TH-cam guy. YOU should just title this somehow that puts it in the search results for all the peeps looking for a replacement or alternative to both Slicer for Fusion and Meshmixer. This thing is awesome and I'm betting you'd get a lot of subscribes. Again, you've done the design world a service today!
So glad my videos are helping someone :)
I definitely need to work on my SEO to get it to show up for more people searching for this. Im always on the look out for easier ways to do manual jobs lol.
That’s cool, thanks for sharing
Thanks dude awesome vid keep it up!
Thank you
Holy shit I use meshmixer and it takes forever. I'm definitely downloading this when I get home
theres a little more to then just this lol but its a good view of what program does but it also offers more.
Set plug tolerance to -0.5~-1 to give you a little wiggle room for adhesives, it MUST be a negative value or the plug will be too big for the hole. Also, all plugs/sockets are unique, no 2 will be the same so there's no chance you can mess up assembly. There is much much more to LuBan than just making big prints fit on small printers though, it's well worth having a really good look at it
Thanks for the advice :)
so helpful!
So glad it helped someone
Thank you for the video! Where did you get the wall stands for you figures? thank you
I 3d-printed them. Heres the link www.thingiverse.com/thing:4808466
@@boundlessperception1466 Thank you, the setup looks nice.
Yo what kind of glues are you using to piece together large thin hallow pieces? I find I have to break large parts and epoxy them together, do you have any better glue recommendations?
Yes, i HIGHLY recommend using JBWELD. It does not come apart. I have destroyed parts trying to get it apart.
amzn.to/3E2FsBH
After putting pieces together, how do you get rid of the section lines? Glue, then use wood filler and sand?
Also, im going to try dowels. None of my pegs are fitting. Have you come across that before?
So im using a drumel to cut but its still not perfect.
Also, is there away to see what specific part number is in program? Say you want to print the feet first. Instead og going through every one, you know what part number to print first.
I actually did a video on this :). I used to use Woodfiller but have since switched to BONDO. It's WAY better.

@boundlessperception1466 thank you
No problem @@smallnuts2
@boundlessperception1466 quick question, I'm gluing thick pieces together. Right now I'm using little squeeze bottle .
Do you do the same or do you buy a big container so you can really get the glue on the pieces?
So depending on the size of the item along with the weight it has to bare i change the glue accordingly. For larger pieces that have a ton of surface area i use e6000.amzn.to/4c3CjQA. For small pieces i use super glue but the GEL NOT THE LIQUID FORM. And for pieces that i really really really need to stick togethor i use Jbweld.

Awesome job...Subscribe done.. 👍👍👍
So glad you liked it.
"This is not the way Luban" - Some movie with ben stiller in it 😅
Thanks for the video but I don't know if the program has changed or if the Mac version is different. If you don't have a Mac you don't have a Mac but it would be nice if you could make another video about LuBan with more detail. One thing that confused me right off the bat was when you said you scaled it, I assume you mean you scaled it with another program, like your slicer and exported it rather than within Luban, correct?
Yes I scald my props and armor in ARMORSMITH before cutting it with luban. Some items luban does not cut in a realistic way so I have to do it manually
@@boundlessperception1466 Manually? well I hope you do a video showing how to do that, thanks
Do you have the STL files for that monado? It looks awesome
Unfortunately i do not. That was a print for a friend and i only had the file temporarily.
thanks pal, very interesting , good video explaining it
Glad it helped 😁
Where can I get the files for the action figure stands you have on your wall in the background?
Here I's a link to them. www.thingiverse.com/thing:4794225
my plugs arent going into each other . can anyone help
can you bring in a small print and scale it up in cuban
Scale a small item in luban?
When trying to download luban, what do they mean by license id?
Each luban download has a license ID if u go to help about it should show
@@boundlessperception1466 ok thanks
I am just curious if this works with resin printers too.
Now that I'm not sure. Have not tried it with a resin printer.
Are the parts hollow?
They are not but there is an option for that
@@boundlessperception1466 thanks! It's not free tho is it?
@Michael V it is. But to cut extremely large models u need a license
Love this software but personally just too expensive for how much I would use it. $16 for a month, $80 for a year and $400 for life. There is a 30 day free trial though.
I installed LuBan on my system but my anti virus/spamware detector does give me a message 'Attempt to alter the firewall settings'. So best to be warned when using that piece of software. I removed it again from my system. If something is to be good to be true it mostly is.
how did you scale the model to 6'? can you scale it in luban?
I scaled it prior to importing it into Luban.
