I have a Question about the Resolution setting. It started at 10, then you went to 2. That surprised me, because I would have thought that the values would have been 10, out of 100, say. And, I can understand why it is defaulted to something very low res, bc the program could crash, or at the very least, be VERY bogged down at start up. I just figured that you would go up, and not down. I am curious to know what the Max Res setting would be then, please? .... /boggled

Hey Print Farm guy..Can you help me? My head is gonna explode..I follow your tutorial exactly..and still the model wont print..what i dont get is that i have min set to 1mm and max 5mm..mine looks exactly like yours..i bring it into chitubox and it looks fine..tried different settings..tried vroom, tried a raft, no raft..slow lift speeds supported just like yours..still fails everytime..so i bring the model into prusa slicer cause i was gonna just fdm print it..then i see when i slice it, its not solid..the walls have breakthrough spots all over it..no wonder it wouldnt print..so why when min thickness is set to 1mm is it breaking through but you dont see that in Luban or chitubox?..model looks fine..the only other thing i dont get is my model comes in with the top and bottom along the y axis..not the z like it should be..i even set my axis before i bring in model and it still does it..I honestly dont think people will have success printing this..my wall thickness looked like 1mm not 5mm anywhere..what is up w that? .its not even close to that anywhere..its like 1mm and less everywhere..ill show you pics of my fails..the supports print but the model fails a few inches up and the walls basically fail..i thought it was my Vroom settings..so i didnt do that and even printed it 70,70,70.. .05 hgt, bottom layer 4, exposre time2.8, bottom exposure 20-30, transition layer 10, 7mm lift distance, 70 speed i think the walls are to thin..ive printed 100's of lithopanes before..never had this problem..ive tried everything..heavy supports, you name it ive tried it..i want to know why the walls arent solid..obviously the (1mm minimum isnt working)

@@jayedwin98020 Just to add to this though, its not so much that the original image was badly pixelated, it wasn't, its just the representation in Luban was set as a low resolution ( 10 ) this is done for manipulation purposes as what you are seeing in the model isnt actually the image, but the 3d representation of the lithophane of the image, and a higher resolution makes it more processor intensive to manipulate. The pixelation goes away when the resolution is raised but the processor and memory usage becomes more intensive. In short even if you could use a vector image you would get the pixelation at the resolution of 10, as its the 3d model your viewing and not the image file itself....if that makes sense
