I hope this helps out anyone that's been curious as to what tools and supplies I use for my prop projects. Thanks for watching!
dont know if you remember me but came across this and ty for sharing this hook up well totally help with finishing my R2 build
Holy Sh@t!!!!!! Idk if I'm just lame or what, but this video was a gold mine!!!!! There are sooo many awesome tips and tricks and tools. Like damn it's 3am and I wanna build stuff!!!! My wallet is going to hurt from all the little things I wanna buy now 😂😂
Thanks for this very informative video ! From start to go. Especially proper information on safety, having a proper mask I barely see mentioned besides maybe in a side node.
Something I noticed in a few of your videos though, chapters would go a long way. Especially with a video as long as this I'll find my way going back to it for the different sections when I get there, so chapters would ease that.
Would definitely be interested in a video on CR-10S upgrades, don't know where to start on mine
The electric foot sander game changer. Thank you!!!!
This is SO HELPFUL!!! Thank you SO much for taking your time to make this video!! Its priceless! So many items I would have never thought so helpful!! You are really amazing!! Keep up the awesome work that you do, and these handy videos you create! As the gentleman says belows, my wallet is going to hurt.
I’ll never have your skills but at least I’ll be able to stumble along with a decent kit now! 😆
This video is fantastic thank you very much!
Amazing list of tools, thank you very very much. I have been printing and painting for close to 10 years, nothing near the quality you create. But a lot of great suggestions to make life easier, thank you very much.
I already use a lot of the same tools but will be checking out a few you use that I have not tried before! Thanks for sharing.
That was a good idea with the compression sleeves
Running 3 Anycubic resin printers and use nothing but the Siraya Fast grey resin. Add some Tenacious (experiment with percentages) if you need it to resist breakage
+1 on the Elegoo ABS-like. I've tried so many resins and I keep coming back to this as my go-to.
PS - Love your channel and really hope you blow up! You deserve way more views.
Great video once again. I really appreciate your inventory of tools etc along with the appropriate links. Hugely helpful!
I would love to see a breakdown of the printer mods you have done. I also have a cr10 and have been looking for some direction in improving my prints with it.
Awesome run-down of all the items and especially the “non-traditional” type.
Thank you for another great video
*time now to pick up one of those foot sanders ;)
I keep coming back as I am trying more prints of props. I have added a life size K-2SO to my list of things to print. Wish me luck.
I’m also about to embark on a K2 build. You’ll be in good hands with the Droid Division files. Highly recommend joining the Facebook group if you haven’t already. It’s a great resource if you run into any problems or have any questions about the project. Best of luck on your projects!
I love your channel. Thank you for sharing so much.
Great video. Thanks!
Thank you for some very valuable information. This is something I really want to get into.
For some less expensive sanding sticks, those blank credit cards covered with double sided tape of choice, either thin or foam, and then sandpaper. Cut into whatever shape works. I like to have different grits on each side.
I understood almost none of this, as I’m not very tech savvy. But I find 3D printers fascinating and never tire of watching videos about them. 😅
This was awesome ❤❤❤❤. Thank you so much for sharing your tools and paints. Great video. My Amazon order is ready to go…. ❤❤❤
Great video thank you 🙏
Great tips, thanks for sharing them !
I tried the foot sander you recommended in another video, and it is such a great tool :)
CA glue accelerant is super handy. I’ve heard baking soda will also work but have not tried it.
Great video and great tips thanks.
I misunderstood the assignment. I thought you meant a callus remover with a foot activated pedal for varying degrees of speed... Not it just being a foot sander. That one's on me, but I can't wait to try it out 😩😩😩
Awesome video. And just to reiterate the recommendation of the Foot callus remover tool for the people reading the comments.
For me it has been a total game changer for sanding PLA it is absolutely the best investment I’ve made hands down. You need this in your arsenal of sanding equipment.
It’s been working awesome for me on PETG as well. Even easier to eliminate layer lines.
Funny to see your e6000 and superglue trick :D
The other day i found out while glueing with both superglue and the e6000 that it would almost instantly bond ,faster as the baking soda and superglue trick :D i have arthrosis in my hands so i can't push parts together for more then 10 seconds or so..
I dotted the superglue on the edges and center of the pieces and then went over the edges with e6000 and after 2-5 seconds it got so sticky that it didn't need any more force :D happy days
There’s also instant bond super glue that comes with an activator spray that I’ve been using a lot lately. Literally sets in 3-5 seconds.
@@MMsPropShop yeah i know but it's not widely avaible in my area and stores that sell it are asking crazy prices for that small bottle 😂
Hello! I know this is an older video so I hope you see this, but I’d really love to know more about your printer mods, if you’re up for sharing some info
Most of them were more quality of life things; new fans to make the printers silent, BLTouch to make bed levelling easier, etc. Depending on the printer I’ve also swapped the build plates to magnetic PEI sheets and changed the extruder fan cover for better parts cooling. Is there something particular you’re wanting to know?
Hey, you have mentioned multiple times the wood filler that dries to a "plastic type consistency" I think it was pink or some such thing. However, the one you linked in this video doesn't seem to have the same consistency. Can you advise the part number of the type you typically utilize?
I am considering a Bambu lab p1p as my first ever 3D printer. Have you ever used one?
I have not personally used one but I’ve heard great things from friends. Would be a great choice as a first printer.
I just want to be your friend 😂 right now I’ve only got a Bambu x1c and a qidi tech x-max 3 and I wanna print everything.
Let me be your apprentice 😂
👏👏👏
I tried heat gun thing for resin, didn't work as well as just letting resin prints soak in IPA for a few hours before curing them with UV.
There are some resins that actually advise against leaving the pieces in IPA for more than a few minutes. Glad it’s working for you, but just make sure that you’re not accidentally damaging/weakening your prints.
What I want to know is what modeling software you use!?
Typically Fusion360 unless it’s something simple I need to edit on a model, then I’ll use Meshmixer.
