I love these videos so much because unlike other review videos here it feels like you’re part of the conversation. I find myself responding to some bits or just nodding my head as if I was there too. I know it’s silly but the way you guys do them feels more like a conversation than you guys just telling me ideas/opinions and that’s why you guys are my favorite!

If Tywin was never killed, Tommen would have been a fantastic King. With Tywin and Magery being his main two influences, he'd grow to be strong like his grandfather, and kind like his wife. He was a bad king because stupid, jealous, and short-sighted Cersei was his main role-model, with no Tywin to shut her up. He starts to spend time with and listen to his wife? Cersei gives power to the faith militant. His wife is taken, so he does what he can to save her, but isn't smart enough to realize giving the faith militant that kind of power is not a good thing. Even then, if Cersei decided not to destroy fucking everything, he'd still be king, and the realm would be, relatively at peace and safe.
He was also, what, 12 years old? 15 at the oldest? Just think back when you were that age - you know it's completely ridiculous to give someone that young so much responsibility. Tommen would've been a pretty good King if he had the chance to actually grow up like a normal human being
Oh I agree on all counts. But kings are never raised like normal human beings. Joffery is proof of that. Most lords are like that too (I imagine Robin Aryn is the more typical kind lord int he GoT world) Spoiled, with little to no concept of consequence. Tommen would have been a good king, not because he'd be good at ruling, but the people around him, the people that Robert and Joffery didn't listen to, the people who know what they're doing, would be able to counsel him and help him rule. Until he's of age to be his own king, and by then, Tywin, Margery, Varys, etc. would have molded him to being a good king. Or at least a decent one.
He'd have bent the knee to Dany.
Idk how old he is in the show, but in the books he is only 8

Season 2 was my introduction to GoT. I saw it before Season 1. Definitely got me hooked. Tyrion was on fire in S2.

To be honest, I actually like Theon. I know he’s very unpopular (for good reason) but he was definitely thoroughly punished and humiliated enough to pay for what he had done

imho theon never became alright. My hate on him grows with every season
IDK man, I hate the High Sparrow even more. He's such an annoying, self-righteous, pompous old douchebag that ends up getting countless people killed during a complete charade of a trial. He's also the type of villain you know is gonna die rather quickly because his ideals are completely contrary to the story's key themes and his actions have no real end game. I couldn't, not for even 1 second, believe that Westeros would become a theocracy, so every episode with High Sparrow I was just waiting for him to die or at least lose his power. He's also fugly and the little Sparrows were lame mental slaves, so his on-screen presence was also visually unappealing.
lol hes one of my faves i get the hate for him but this season and all the ramsey stuff makes me feel so sorry for him

I disagree with the Ned Stark thing, Ned only knew too late of what was happening to him and that unfortunately ended up badly for him. I think his honor measures more for his intelligence than others assume, like Littlefinger did and know Littlefinger has a rival that matches him. Also Bronn and Tyrion are the best in these first few seasons, I hate that they took a backseat for Dany and Jon in later seasons. I do like those characters especially Dany in the first few seasons but I prefer the smaller characters and ones who played the game. Magery was my favourite character in the entire show. More than anyone else since she came from nothing and played the game well.

Tomin wasn’t a good king because he was to sheltered and they never raised him to rule. The only child on the show who a good person and a child who was probably raised from the second they popped out of the womb to rule (maybe even before that) is Little Lady Leanna Mormont. Geoffrey doesn’t count because he was a dusche bag lol

I totally agree about Marjorie. I was sad about what happened to her. (but it is GOT after all) A great character & so much of the credit goes to Natalie Dormer. Great acting, so beautiful (probably the most beautiful one on the show), and the eyes. oh, those eyes. I swear I could just fall into those hypnotic eyes.

I didn't think it was EVER a tough decision at all.
The day he arrives and realized who his paternal father really is, he should have immediately returned to Robb and supported the only family who has ever supported him.
Giving Myrcella to Dorne was a horrible decision. She would have been safer at the Eries, she would still be alive.
Renly and Margaery were great characters with such tragic fates. First, they're killed in Westeros. Then, they're wasted in Mass Effect: Andromeda.

Season 2 is the best one but i enjoyed Storm of Swords the most out of all the books even after a reread. I think bc there isnt one slow story line in season plus tyrion is on fire the whole time.

Myrcella to theon made me laugh so hard
Cersei's wartime dinner scene is short but telling of her character in ways which are easily missed. We see her pause and swallow as she realises that Sansa is putting a show out of fear, even at her own table. Then we see her silently approve of Tommen's naive wishes. She would like Joffrey to be more like this, even though she cannot say it. She has to raise her children and prepare them for a life which is not fully their own. This is the point of her rhetorical question to Sansa. It will catch up with her this very episode when she learns Tyrion is marrying Myrcella without even consulting with her mother.

Cersei is not taking digs at Sansa, by the way. She is embracing her as her daughter and offering her approval as long as she conforms to expectations.
When Cersei pushes Tyrion and he falls over, that wasn't supposed to happen, according to their commentary. She was supposed to shove him back, but not over. But, she got a little too overzealous and put a little too much weight into it and he went over. And then they just stayed in character. She was secretly waiting to see if he was hurt and wanted to stop, but he didn't. He just went with it. And it really did add something to the scene.
NERD SOUP, Please consider watching Legion as it is the only Marvel show that is cinematic and enthrallingly confusing. Lots to breakdown! Hope you at least watch it

EDIT: The scene when Cersei pushes Tyrion was improv on Lena Heady’s part. The shoving of Tyrion was unscripted and the director cut the scene. Lena apologized to Peter and he stated that he loved her reaction and loved that she pushed him. They reshot the scene and kept it. Great acting on both sides. Lena deserves an Emmy for her portrayal of Cersei.
"The Nighlands" surely? The "night" does not "land"... it is simply dark and full of terrors.
Lena Heady and Peter Dinklage are BFF in RL.

Jordan Tropila in my opinion Lena Heady might be the best actress in the show, and there are a whole lot of amazing actors in there
AMHK she is definitely the most underrated actor in the show. HBO really did a fantastic job in casting some of these roles. I even find the actress who plays Lyanna to be perfect for the part, however small it might be.

Regardless of any original child sacrifice thousands of years ago that the Nights Watch might of agreed to allow to placate the Others, these days. the Night's Watch is strapped for resources and allies, and if they have to turn a blind eye to a creep like Craster sacrificing his kid's to the Others in exchange for a "friend" north of the wall, so be it as far as they are concerned all be it grudgingly.
Well now we know that what Daenerys saw at the house of the undying did actually happen. She was about to sit on the throne, then died and reunited with Drogo and her son.

i often hear you mention the maester theory, that they actively try to destroy magic, but you seem to overlook, that this even if true, does not mean every maester is actively involved in this, ifthe theory is true it's almost certain that only the graendmasters are in on this and the others are just following the doctrine dictated by the grandmaesters.
