      Hi Michael! We are dietitians so we can't provide medication recommendations. Ketoanalogues are considered a medical food, which is factored into the amount of protein we consume. Our dietitians teach and support patients that need KAs (or don't) to get the right amount of protein. Check with your doctors for medication recommendations. 💚

    Hi, Is it okay to take ketoanalogues, amino acid for Stage 3 CKD?

    • @PlantPoweredKidneys
      @PlantPoweredKidneys  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are some ketoanalogues that can be taken at stage 3. However, research has not shown this approach to be beneficial. KAs are researched and mostly intended for stage 4-5 not on dialysis.

      Hello Jen, I’m taking ketoanalogues (ketosteril) 9tabs a day. I’m stage 3B one year ago. Reason why my nephrologist gave me was because my creatinine went up to 151. Diagnosed IGA Nephropathy via biopsy, 1 year ago. She gave Dapagliflozin 1/day, too. I’m following renal diet. That’s why I’m following your video. Thanks
