    Thanks for the information. I eat small nut bars from time to time. 5 grams of protein, 125 mg of sodium, 190 mg of potassium. They are drizzled with chocolate which makes them especially good! Each bar is only 1.4 ounces. Everybody needs a treat once in a while!

      They’re sugar and bad for ckd, phosphorus, potassium, protein too. Ckd might end up to stage 5 instead of stage 3 only, like mine

      Sorry to hear your CKD has progressed to stage five. My eGFR has improved somewhat over the last couple years with diet, recommended supplements. and sauna.

    I'm in stage 3 & have eczema/itchy skin. Seems some nuts can trigger eczema flare-ups in some people. In particular, nuts like Brazil nuts, flaxseeds, peanuts, almonds, cashews, and walnuts can be problematic. These nuts can trigger the release of inflammation-causing T cells and immunoglobulin-E. Almond milk, however, seems to be safe

    I would be grateful if you could guide me. I am a 62 year old man. In 2018, I lost half of my left kidney due to a cancerous tumor. Doctors say I don't need a diet. What do you think? My G FR is 69 and my creatinine is -1,13. Do I have to follow a special diet?

    • @HealthyKidneyInc
      @HealthyKidneyInc  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Use NAC and yes very safe. Glutathione pills and supplement don't work. Won't survive stomach acid.

    Thank you!! Is 1 ounce of nuts up to 6 times a week acceptable for Dialysis patients?

    • @HealthyKidneyInc
      @HealthyKidneyInc  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most likely ... if phosphorus is high only due once to twice per week.

    How about brazil nuts?

  • @HikingUtah

    I love nuts. Unfortunately, for people prone to kidney stones, they are also high in oxalates (especially almonds).

      I don't know for certain, but maybe offset it by drinking lots of lemon/citrus water.
