- Ketoanalogues are very popular now because later last year research came out about the debate of the best diet for chronic kidney disease. A low- to very low protein diet has been used to treat kidney issues and therapeutic. The problem is that you may become deficient in protein, which brings lots of problems. To follow this kind of diet without becoming deficient in protein you can take ketoanalogues. With these ketoanalogues , it produces very little to no waste so your kidneys don't have to deal with any waste. Robert mentions that a low to very low protein diet is not new and has been around but never suggested as much. Ketoanalogues is to be used with a low/very low protein diet, it's not a supplement you take unless it is with that kind of diet. Robert suggests about 22-40 grams, depending on your height and size. Your health has to be stable to be able to take ketoanalogues. Generally would use KA's between stages 3 and 5. Keto is very expensive and Robert mentions that you can always take amino acids which are more reasonable in price.
Ketoanalogues are amino acids that are supplemented with low protein diets and have been shown to be very effective in improving the benefits of a low protein diet especially in patients with chronic kidney disease. When protein is broken down in our body into amino acids you get waste byproducts, these are cleared by the kidneys. Due to the effects of these wastes on the kidneys, doctors recommend using a modified protein intake as a nutrition therapy to support kidney health and slow the progression of kidney disease. Protein-modified diets fall into three categories: Very low protein diets supplemented with ketoanalogues, low protein diets, and plant-based vegetarian diets. The very low protein diets are around 20 grams of protein/day and low protein diets around 40 grams of protein, but these vary on the person’s weight and height. The vegetarian renal diet is focused on getting out as much animal protein as possible.
Ketoanalogues allow someone on a very low protein diet to get all the benefits of adequate amino acids without the nitrogen processing downside. If you are following a very low protein diet, ketoanalogues are very essential to include as part of your therapy. The research on Ketoanalogues supporting better outcome markers for kidney health, along with very low protein diets, appears consistently in the medical research. In a research paper written by Dr. Gang Lee Ko, on protein intake and chronic kidney disease, he identified eight different potential benefits of a low protein diet. The ability to slow the decline of GFR, decreased proteinuria, decreased uremic toxins, Decreased oxidative stress or inflammation, decreased metabolic acidosis, decreased phosphorus and parathyroid hormone, decreased insulin resistance, and finally decreased blood pressure. All of these benefits ultimately lead to delaying dialysis initiation.

You show on the label only the total amount of a blend of amino acids. You do not disclose the nitrogen content. There are many amino acid products with disclosures of the amounts of each amino acid. Unfortunately, those products do not disclose nitrogen content. I take Albutrix. Albutrix does not disclose the amounts of each amino acid. I cannot imagine why anyone would take both Albutrix and Pure Kidney.

Hi doc, I have all normal blood aside from protein that is very low and urinalysis result are normal too. But my ultrasound showed that my kidney is bright and they wrote renal parenchyma disease. Doctor prescribed me renalog should I take it even my blood test and urine test are normal?

I have only proteinuria and my egfr is above 90 and creatinine is at 0.5 but I somehow can’t build lean muscle mass … I am trying to stay at 70 GMs of protein ( I’m 65 kgs ) and do weight lifting but I can’t seem to build muscle … would this help ??

1.42 is not that high and most likely not an option for ketoanalgues but check with your medical doctor and take all your medications. 1.42 is not very high. Address everything naturally and with conventional medicine for a medical doctor.

Only 2? Generally you need like 4 or more, but it dependson what ketoacid you are using?

Nephrologist are not trained in diet, nutrition, supplements. So, unless they go out and learn this on their own they most likely will not know it.
Would ketoanalogues benefit a person with low gfr of 11.60 and 4.17 creatinine on a low protein vegan diet? I am interested in the Pure Kidney product? Currently taking renadyl and gfr is slowly increasing.
In a case like yours i think it can benefit with a low protein diet. Make sure to check with your medical doctor.
The only thing we can afford are the essential aminos. Not sure how to figure how many grams of protein equals the amino acids.

Hi!! My mom who is 54 years old have a creatinine level of 1.2 and it says for women, it should be around 0.6 - 1.2. It has remained constant of 1.2 for 6 months.
