I love the fact that you acknowledge you were treating your patients incorrectly because of the lack of knowledge you had at the time. That's BIG! I commend you sir. You are such a blessing!
It is 3:00 pm here in the Philippines. I completely agree with fasting. A friend got kidnapped several years ago and was a diabetic on medication. With his situation in the hinterlands, scarcity of food, no medication, dragging period of ransom negotiation, he suddenly was relieved of his diabetes and high blood pressure. What a blessing! However he passed three years later due to cancer of the throat. He was a chain smoker. Thanks for your telling us truth.
So basically they lie to us and tell us that type 2 diabetes isn’t reversible and curable ? When in fact it’s actually curable and you can go back to normal and live a healthy life with no issues ???
He deserves that prize but the truth and reality is he is going to pay for his great efforts against diabetes which damages the profits of big pharma by selling diabetic drugs.
But still, there are something that Fung's suggestions don't cover. Fung's therapy covers only who are diabetic due to insuline resistance, hyperinsilinema or obesity. But unfortunately, there are many patients who were never obese but get type-2 diabetes. His policy doesn't cover beta cell dysfunction. He said insulin resistance causes beta cell dysfunction afterwards. And beta cell dysfunctions happen only when fat infiltration into pancreas. But I believe fat infiltration into the pancreas is not the only source of causation. There could involve other causes such as inflammation, autoimmunity (yeah like type1), lack of raw vegetables etc.
Though to be fair he is not the only, or first to look at this . There are many others who are really pushing the reversal by low carb/ Keto who have been talking about it for years. Dr Fing is brilliant, though he is best known for this treatise on fasting as a massive assistance to reversal.
My oldest son is in his early 20's and he has type 1 diabetes. But thank God for this piece of article th-cam.com/users/postUgkxVYhghKWmrUgXARZ_ydZTvmmcrw5L0I5i At first he thought he had the flu and was lying down on the bed for three days until his sister took him to the hospital. They took his blood and it was 600. What I do not understand is how he could have gotten it, since no one in the family has it. But he is winning the battle now. This is good stuff.
@@skm60016 It's difficult to do in a comment, I'll give it a try. We become resistant to insulin (type 2) because we have too much. Your goal should be to lower insulin production and insulin spikes. anything you eat will cause a spike of insulin, but carbohydrates have the most impact and raise insulin the most. Cut out carbs, they're the source of constant hunger, cravings, and weight gain. Next, lower the frequency of eating. This means fasting. Start with 3 or 4 meals a day and cut back to 2 or even 1. No snacking at all. When you eat, eat whole foods with fiber. stay away from processed foods. If it has more than 5 ingredients avoid it. You'll have to educate your self on all the crap they put in our food supply and cut out what you can . It's not easy, but anything worth doing isn't easy. I'm over 2 years in and still in remission. We don't tolerate carbs well that's why we became diabetic. come to peace with the fact that your life will need to change and you have to give up some of the carby goodness you're used to. If not, you'll end up loosing parts of your body before you're gone. Read DR Fung's books. Look up Eric Berg and Robert Lustig here and listen to their message. cc: @Santosh Naik @Ligays Sanyarin @Mizz Khan
This makes me feel like crying. The global situation is so desperate and yet every day medical professionals are perpetuating the advancement of the disease and contributing to the deterioration of their patients. We need to take a very serious stand against protocols based on flawed studies and profit hungry drug companies.
Sorry Jason, but fasting when you're T2DM is anything but easy. You can't get that "energy" for days of overwhelming hunger due to failure of ketosis. Bike Vids , I moved my money from a bank to a federal credit union. Credit unions are non-profits. If the credit union has a financial advisor on staff, you can move your non-retirement plan, college education savings account, and non-retirement investment money to the credit union, too. A lot of investment companies have, like banks, become publicly-traded corporations. Vanguard is one investment company that doesn't trade its stock on the stock market. Instead, Vanguard sells its stock to its own Vanguard mutual funds. Thus, the clients are also the stockholders. There might be other investment companies that do likewise. I am not a financial advisor. So, do not invest in anything that I say; instead, consult your financial advisor.
4 years ago! I only just found him a couple of months ago. I started working with his program and lost 22 lbs in about 3 weeks, then another 2 lbs last week. I am furious at being told to eat "6 small meals daily" to prevent type 2 diabetes. My mom died from it, needlessly =( 'Greed, for lack of a better word, is NOT good.'
Thank you. I am diabetic for last 5 yrs. I have started immediately 24 hrs fasting . This is my 3rd day of fasting sugar checked found 76 before dinner in evening after dinner 137. I was scared for dowing the fasting as was warned by my doctor. I have informed my colleague at work and at home to take care of me. After fasting 24 hrs for last two days I am feeling much energetic. Thank you very much. Thank you
I am not a patient of Dr fungs but I found him after an officer put me up for a medical evaluation to keep my driver's licence, my blood sugar was 300 and my blood pressure was 165/110 and my A1C was 9.5 . My doctor said he could not allow me to drive and notified DMV and they took my license away. One month later after starting Dr Fungs extreme fasting last Friday I saw my doctor again to be reevaluated again and my A1C was 7.2 and my blood pressure is down to 130/80 and my doctor has reversed his decision so I'm getting my license back very soon. PS I've lost 20 LBS in the process. Thank you Dr Fungs for what you've done to save our home on wheels our motorhome. My wifes gone blind and am the only driver. For sure you've saved my eye site from diabetes complications more than likely. From what I've learned, I'm very grateful .... thank you we've told everyone our story and passed on your mission to everyone we know and meet. Eternity grateful.

Michelle R Jackson dr dung has many videos on TH-cam to learn from. Also good as is dr berg, dr berry, dr ekberg, dr Mandela, dr Bergman. Dr. Jason Fung should be award a Nobel Prize for this. My A1C was 10.3 in Sept 22, Now in Mar 23 my A1C is 6.9; while my regular Dr. wanted to increase meds on me. I simply do 18/6 intermittent fasting and low carbs & low fructose diet.

But I am not certain if one can get diabetes at such a tender age. Please I will like to know more on that*
Type 1 diabetes is a totally different disease than Type 2. It is caused by failure of the pancreas to make insulin. You should absolutely have her checked. It is a very serious illness.
Diabetes can happen at birth, depending on the type. It doesn't hurt to have it checked out, if there's anything that concerns you, ask your family doctor.
Some people will only be able to achieve remission or reduction (even Newcastle diet had non responders who saw no improvement in first phase insulin despite massive weight loss) as not everyone's pancreas is in good shape, but regardless, everyone will see a big improvement that improves their life!
I am convinced you deserve a Nobel recognition. Humanity will be ever grateful for your research that led to the discovery of such a profound solution to the Type 2 DM plague
I went for blood tests on the 25th October 2021 and on the 28th was told I was diabetic type 2. I was booked to see the Dr again on the 1st Nov but put back a week till the 8th. I was prescribed Metformin and expected to tow-the-line. I have kicked back, I don't take Metformin. I changed my diet and from 20.9mmol,. I am now in the pre-diabetic realms and headed for normal blood sugars by the end of the month. IF I CAN DO IT, SO CAN YOU. Nov 12th 2021
I'm an MD, and I loooove you dr. Fung, and dr. Berg also, you opened my mind of insulin, professors in medical school always focused on blood sugar, always about blood sugar but not insulin resistan to cure
Ajay Kusumo this type of diet that Dr Fung recommends and fasting is how diabetes was treated years ago. Not sure when insulin was invented but it wasnt the greatest stuff. My Italian grandmother was diagnosed with type 2 was put on insulin. She did not manage the insulin well and had lots of lows and her doctors stopped the insulin. So she gave up the pasta etc, didnt eat as often, lost a lot of weight and died of a heart attack in her old age. Part of the difficulty as time went on is thst her son developed the disease. Started with pills then insulin but the diet that was given to him had carbs like grains and off all fat. He did live long but with a lot of diseases that diabetics get, eye disease and neuropathy. I am only borderline and follow Dr Fung with diet and fasting. Feeling great and numbers are good. He is great
I was recently diagnosed with an A1C of 6.6. The dietician told me low carb is not the way to go. My meals are supposed to have total carbs of 40-60 per meal. I have been following the diet and I have lost weight and my blood sugars have been good. My doc wanted to put me on Metformin and I had said that I would rather try with diet and exercise first before going on meds. She is giving me 3 months, retest my A1C and fasting blood. I have been researching low carb and I wonder why they are so against it when it has shown to help people more than the traditional recommendations. I think that a lot of the time, the pharmaceutical industry plays a huge role in how we as patients are being treated.
Alopathy is a captured industry. To suggest a regimen that is not the "standard of care" is to risk your medical license and your practice. The Banting diet was created by an obese diabetic mortician in Britain. He practiced the diet, lost weight, put his diabetes into remission, wrote the book, and lived to a ripe old age. Banting is the ketogenic diet. Your carb intake is 3x too high for a ketogenic diet. Your dietician and your md have other considerations than your health. It's sad but true. Your diet, and your health is in your hands alone.
I got pretty much the same advice about carbs. In my case it was 35 grams of carbs per meal (no more, no less) and a 15 g. carb snack before bed. I thought is odd because it didn't seem to be tied to my current weight. There are petite women who weigh half of what I do. The same number of carbs, really? Absolutely nothing about eliminating pasta, pastry, pancakes, bread, corn, potatoes and French fries. I can eat (plain) hamburger, steak, eggs, olive oil, cheese, cabbage, kale and Brussel sprouts and my blood sugar is fine. Even worse, advice wise, insulin turns excess blood sugar to fat (unless you are an athlete or Amazon Fulfillment Center worker) and prevents you from burning fat for fuel. The insulin cure is likely to make you fatter and require more insulin. Good, if you are the pusherman. A last choice strategy in my opinion.
Low carb was never discussed when I was diagnosed 18 years ago...I followed the low fat/"good carb" endocrinologist prescribed meal plan and gained, then they just added meds. Dr Jason Fung, Dr. Sarah Hallberg, and Dr Ken Berry and coaxing by my brother got my on Keto. Less than seven months later my A1c dropped from 11.0 to 7.0!! 18 years of Drugs and bad advice. I'm sticking with lowcarb/highfat & intermittent fasting forever. Any plan that gets my morning fasting glucometer readings down from 299 to 109 is nothing short of miraculous. (And angry? You betcha especially for the first three months as both sugars and weight dropped without effort. ) Now.. no insulin, no victoza, no invoccana and I've cut my last drug to a quarter dose..soon to be drug free!
In the uk few dieticians are honest enough to face up to the fact they have been getting it wrong all these years. Not their fault, the food pyramid is upside down, the Low Fat industry has persuaded everyone to cut out fat. But they really should face up to the fact that those two diabetes is a condition where we cannot metabolise carbohydrates...for reasons of insulin resistance. So what is the blasted point of giving us diets full of the very things which are making us ill? 🤬
Jason, It worked for me! I was diagnosed a few months ago but I couldn't accept it since I don't have any diabetics in my family. I didn't want to take any medications so I followed your advice. I started a "strict" carb diet for a few weeks only (that's all it needed) and manged to drop my blood sugar from 170+ down to between 98 and 116. I'm continuing with my diet and checking my bl. sugar as often as possible just in case. THANK YOU SO MUCH
George Khun Please, couldyou tell me what a "strict" carb diet is? My friend is so sick, but non of us umderstand WHAT he can eat at all. He has no problem fastimg, but anytime he starts eating again it goes wrong.
@@sevenstreams7581 , I don't need to take vitamin pills. Instead, I eat gluten-free, eat keto, and eat grass-fed grass-finished animal fats and animal proteins. I get all the amino acids, fatty acids, fat-soluble vitamins, water-soluble vitamins, minerals, and nutrients that my body needs. Eating mostly animal fats and animal proteins is how my predecessors have eaten for the past 1.8 million years.

Craz, yep and it is hard to believe and harder to accept BUT the evidence and facts point to your words exactly. I'm 61 and have a memory and for the last 40yrs, I have been baffled by our leaders actions around the world. Now, including our medical field, I have come to the conclusion using the results of their actions, these people are either stone-cold idiots or totally sellouts and against the common man. -- Yes your groups above are preying on our ignorance. Yes, they are against us and apparently in this for their own profit. Yes this is some some sort of conspiracy, maybe even racketeering... Hard to believe, but the facts and past history point to that very fact.
@Ana lopez Yep and just too bad mankind is so ignorant. The USA is stuck with allowing idiots or sell-outs to run our great country and the best most citizens do is cry about how bad someone is treating them.
Yeah but the massive money from sacrificing diabetics on the altar of overpriced drugs and procedures props up socialized medicine in the majority of countries. Take that away and how will you be able to fund unnecessary decadence like abortions and sex-change operations when taxpayer dollars actually have to support NECESSARY medical procedures?
I am incredibly thankful for your work. I've read the obesity code and the diabetes code and thanks to that my mom was able to lose 40 kilos since February, she no longer needs to use insulin, her metformin dose was lowered, her blood pressure, triglycerides and cholesterol are great. She has diabetic nephropathy, and we are trying to prevent or delay dialysis, which she was told she'll eventually need. However, her doctor adviced her to start eating bread, pasta and rice again... She supposedly needs a "more balanced diet in order not to keep losing weight"🥴 it kind of feels like her doctor wants her sick again!
I think it's over the top this diabetes advice mine is well controlled and has been for 13 years but I probably don't eat all the right food that's if you are allowed any and my skin is OK for my age 77
I've just discovered you Dr Fung ,I'm an insulin dependent diabetic for 30 years And I have multiple health problems and have just lost my driving licence due to loss of peripheral vision ,and I am devastated,I feel like I've lost my independence,I'm almost 55 and how I wish I knew all this years ago ,I hope I can still make a difference to my future health.Thank You so much ❤️
I wish I could have seen a presentation by Dr Fung 10 years ago. I questioned my PA how to treat my liver if it was the issue ...she started me on alogliptin 🙃 . I've been struggling trying to find someone to explain type 2 so I could understand. Thank you so much for this video Dr Fung; I will echo what everyone else commented because it so true Dr Fung for the Nobel Prize👍 God bless
I’ve been doing intermittent fasting for almost 4 months now my a1c went down from 7.1 to 6.3 and my maintained my weight 10lbs less that I used to. Thank you so much Dr. Fung. God Bless You.
1. Most info that is "standard" in the industry came from incorrect conclusions out of previous studies, while not connecting the dots. 2. It's a whole lot easier to throw a pill at the problem than to suggest to a T2D that they need to change their diet and lifestyle. Most won't do it.
Right GS and makes total sense... -- Why don't they all know this? Not sure but they are either stone-cold idiots or have some agenda to NOT stop their ignorant ways they do no good for the common man. Not alot of other possibilities as to why.
Because most people don't understand that complex carbohydrates turn straight into sugar and some asshole fudged a study 50 years ago and turned the food pyramid upside down and we were told to eat lots of servings grains daily .
Thank you so much! I’m going to be fasting to reduce my A1C at 9.9 I was just diagnosed with diabetes and they want to give me all those drugs! Thanks to you there’s a light at the end of the tunnel! God bless!
Dr Fung is brilliantly open minded, curious, and fearless with his search for truth. His proven method of treatment is what we need as healthy humans. A1C Jan 27th 12+ Today April 2nd A1C 5.6 following Dr. Fungs advice without any medication doctors claimed I needed. Dr. Fung not only saved my CDL but my life.
Hey Angie, hope you are well. Need some tips from you. I am newly diagnosed with type 2 where A1C was 12.5. Since then i have reduced my cabs intake as much as i can. Could you please your experience what other precautions you took to reverse it. And yes after walk of 80 minutes my blood sugar goes below 5. And yes i am fasting for almost 12 hours a day. And having only 2 meals per day.
@@rehanakhtar4347 I do 24 hour fasts. Drink water and herbal teas. Add a pinch of xanthan gum to your tea or coffee. Xanthan gum is a sugar magnet and helps remove sugar. Also take Bitter Melon supplement, or if you can find it eat the actual bitter melon. Bitter melon is a staple in Asian diet this the low diabetes in asian countries. I google all foods before eating them. Since insulin is a hormone all foods will respond differently in your body. Foods dietitians say are diabetic friendly cause my BS to spike. Foods that they say are bad such as pork and beef actually lower my BS. When it comes to diabetes it's not a one size fits all. It's up to you to figure out which foods coincide with your hormones. Only way to do that is test one food at a time. Such as pork. Test your BS first then 2 hours after you eat it to see how your body reacts to it. It takes time but well worth the effort. 24 hour fasts was the key. Then eat a low calorie low carb diet. Woke up this morning and BS was 117. I won't eat until my BS is down in the 80's today. When I first started my BS was in the 468 and I wouldn't eat anything until I was at least 100 points below that. As my numbers came down I would let my BS get a minimum 100 lower as my body adjusted to new lower sugar levels. If you feel shakey drink lots of water. It gets rid of the shakes.
@@rehanakhtar4347 12 hour fasts wasn't working fast enough for me so I did 24 hour fasts. The longer you can fast the more your liver will dump the stored insulin. When your liver does a dump your BS will spike for a short period but then go lower then it was previously. I got to where I looked forward to a spike because I knew my liver was dumping stored sugar and it was exiting my body.
Thanks a lot Dr. Jason Fung, for helping poor people who cannot afford to buy expensive drugs, etc. You are the BEST Doctor of all Doctors in the world. May God from above bless you always.
Could you please share your diet per day? I have completed a month of 24 hour fasting to cure type 2 and feel lack of energy. I consume a 250 grams to 300 grams of cooked lentil and handful of almonds at dinner time. Wheat grass powder and spinach during the day.
@@rahulhumanist your lack of energy is probably due to insufficient calories (a measurement of energy). You could try to eat more when you aren't fasting. I recommend that dr. Jason Fung receives Nobel prize for his work. I took diabetes training at Kaiser in Fall 2016 (that is company I have medical insurance with) and diabetes was presented as chronic and progressive disease and we were recommended to watch portion control, follow Standard American Diet, and exercise. It was emphasized not to skip breakfast since it is the most important meal of the day. None of the information presented by dr. Fung was included in the education. Most of people attending training were people over 55 and most of us were overweight and obese.
It takes some courage and some balls to admit "I treated him wrongly for years." My utmost respect, dr Fung. Hats down. By the way, greetings and a huge thank you from Poland, yes, we watch you here too 👍👍👍. Your advice worked like a dream for me too.

IF is easy when your eating keto. I've worked myself up to daily 20 hour fasts & I'm rarely hungry. We have to lose our fear of eating the healthy fats.
Very motivating story. Keep us updated. My dad has been suffering from diabetes for about 5 years now. I just got him to start intermittent fasting. Hopefully it helps
Just a superbly explained video! Dr. Fung has such a talent to make a complex subject so clear. He also isn’t afraid to admit that his previous approach to treating diabetes was wrong and why accepted treatment must change.
I've never been diagnosed with diabetes because with a healthy fear of the profession, I don't go see doctors. But, at 60 I'm overweight and with a brother who had diabetes, I'm fairly certain I've got it. I've been eating low carb for a couple of weeks, wanting to lose the weight and the scale has hardly budged. Now I understand that while my tummy still protrudes, my liver and my pancreas are 'losing weight'. I'm very happy about that and will wait my turn to see the weight come off. Thanks for this video - it answers so many questions and puts many fears to rest.
Awesome video!! I loved hearing the two Patients give their testimony. It's as if they were given a new lease on life, and I absolutely love it for them!!! In my family we seem to get the Diabetes Diagnosis in our 40s...and as someone in their 40s I'm trying to learn as much as possible on how to avoid this disease🙏🏽
thank you Doc. nice to hear helpful info from someone who's not trying to make money off of desperate people.I have been diagnosed with fatty liver disease and have been very concerned. This makes sense. Thanks and God bless you. There is a scripture that says "my people perish because of lack of knowledge'". Thank you for the knowledge.
Many thanks for your courage and generosity Jason. This video changed my life. About 10 days ago I was googling to try to understand why I get indigestion if I don't eat every few hours, or from doing housework or gardening. I read about a condition called "dyspepsia", found it was due to insulin resistance and from there found your videos. So much of what I heard was so familiar. I can't fast because I get pain if I do, but I have gone high fat, low carb, no processed foods. Within days the indigestion stopped, my lower back pain was mostly gone, my entire body lost it's puffiness, and I felt taller. Someone I live with even commented that my posture has improved. It is almost like I can feel my body rebuilding itself after decades of fat restriction.
My doctor advised to see my diabetic nurse for insulin and I refused to go on insulin thank God I'm watching your show to lower my blood sugar I'm type 2 diabetes taking metformin I'll try to do low carb and fasting
I am from Mexico here doctors do the oppossite, they even yell if you dont follow their instructions. I have seen 4 of them and the only medication they ordered me eas metformine, they dont talk about fasting they promote eating 5 or 6 times daily. I really appreciate sharing your knowkedge. You Will be my doctor from now on . God bless you. I feel bless by your support.
Dr. Fung my gut told me (pun intended) that fasting was the answer. I am doing this to the max. Sugar and candy are gone. I am very blessed to have found this video. God is very real! I am so excited to do this! I already reversed Type 2 diabetes once by changing my diet and losing 100 pounds. I love myself and I am going to prove that by doing what my beautiful temple is begging me to do! I am going to follow you and get this started. I just got out of the ER today. I refused Insulin because I told them it was the problem in the first place. I also challenged them and told them that I was refusing to commit myself to remaining diseased. I walked out with less Metformin and Victoza. They said Victoza is super expensive but my insurance covered it for a 2 months supply. Victoza helps by peeing out the excess sugars! That's a good thing. It will help me get a handle on this and help me reverse Type 2 diabetes once again! It is rotten that medical professionals give people insulin and drugs to make them think that will cover them when they continue to gorge themselves with carbs and sugar. Know what I love more than toxic foods, carbs, and sugar? Myself!
Amy Muchko the Victoza actually stimulates more insulin release by your body whenever you eat. The drugs that makes you pee out the sugar are Farxiga, Invokana, and Jardiance.
All of these cause horrible yeast infections, urinary tract infections, and have other potentially life-threatening side affects. Just don't eat sugars (or carbs) and then there's nothing to pee out.
Why would you be eating more fat if you have a fatty liver already? This is what I'm confused about.Because many are saying fast, which I can do, but if you say don't eat carbohydrates like vegetables, I don't understand why then you're telling me that keto's the best way when it has a lot of fat would not. That fat harm the liver as well
I had a hard time keeping my blood sugar below 8.0, A1C was 11.8 last Spring. Decided to try keto diet My sugars dropped like a rock within 3 days! lost 30 lbs in 3 months! Stopped taking 80 units of NPH, Januvia, and half my Metformin! When I went to see my Endochronologist in October he told me to stop the diet and go back to taking my meds???? I have to thank you and others, like Dr. Sarah Halberg, for the info you are putting out there for people like me. I have seen the light!
My father started insulin in 1971 and had heart attack in spring 1974 . He had 2nd heart attack in 1978 . He lived until 1990 and was 86 when he died. He went downhill with insulin. In his 70’s he went partially blind,He could see to get around but could no longer read or see people’s facial features. His circulation in legs got stopped up and he could only walk short distances. He was lucky not to have any amputations . Dad was brainwashed with the calorie and fat myth. Harped about how fat had more calories than other foods related to my weight .I was in my 20’s and not fat .IF Dad had known what Dr Fung talks about I’m sure he would have lived longer and kept his eyesight. Dad was a doctor !!!
That's very telling. Most learning occurs as a desire to know answers. That thirst gets beaten out of interns, many of whom are quite young when they start. Dr. Fung had a desire to know and a passion for his patients to live. My father also died in 90, on Memorial day fro. Heart disease. I am convinced he had undiagnosed diabetes. I'm sorry for your loss.
Wow that's an incredible good insight thankyou for sharing, one of my 90 year old customers who I see once a year is going down hill fast now from the same diebetes ailments, another aquantance of mine who ignored his early diebetic diagnosis is now at age 70 in a nursing home with amputated legs - when my mother started taking insulin she felt so much better, a lady who enjoyed 3 teaspoons of sugar in her tea, thank god for forty years she went over to sacrine sweetener instead.
Sorry for that. Few people want to look back and see what caused the issue especially of they are from medical field or scientists/educated in a profession. I totally agree with Dr. Fung if lifestyle brought this things then changing it's the cure not medicine to stay afloat.
Sorry for your loss. Exact same story with me. Only, my dad (a doctor as well) didn't have diabetic retinopathy but he had severe neuropathy and at the end, nephropathy. I SO wish I knew about this long ago...
love this guy and his work. thanks for speaking the truth!so many practioners made people feel helpless, that nothing could be done to control our conditions our body problems. thanks for making us feel that we can, and that our health lies in our own hands!
This might be small to some, but I was at 5.8 and became concerned because I know I was having other health issues because of my high-carb diet. I am still learning about fasting etc. but really started to go low carb, low sugar, cut the beer out and late-night eating and walking 2-4 miles a day and I have lost 30lbs and I am at a 5.6 in the last month or so. Many of your comments are what give me hope and inspiration because I still have a long way I want to go. Just know that I am helpful for all of us to succeed!
Your voice is so caring and kind. You really seem like the perfect person to be getting this info out here! I could see someone similar to myself getting worked up about the corruption and lies of the medical industry and turning people off from the concept. But you do a perfect job of coming at it slowly and lovingly. Thank you for your truth and patience!
Thank you so so much Dr Fung ....you saved my Mom....I am very very grateful.....you are brilliant....you saved people's lives ...you deserve the Noble prize .....
Doctor, you have given me so much hope. I’ve been overweight and or obese most of my adult life and diabetic for the past 5 years. I thought there was no cure until I stumbled upon your videos. I have been watching and reading everything you’ve done on fasting and diabetes and I am so hopeful now. I’m doing 16/8 and 24 alternating, following the plan I got from your website. Thank you so much for changing my life.
Thank you doctor Fung; you're really Godsend! Dietitians tell their patient's to eat every 4 hours, omg! Luckily I can't eat more than 2 or 3 times a day; many times I only eat twice because if I'm working on a difficult project, I forget to have lunch.
Jason Fung....you are awesome! Thank you for sharing and for everything your doing. Integrity is very rare in the medical field these days when it comes to many things. I went into the hospital with a bloodsugar level of 800. They put me on an IV and then started insulin. They would not answer my questions about the insulin and the carbs they wanted me to eat while at the hospital. In fact, my sugar level went down to 97 at around midnight and told me I needed more insulin and food to bring it up! They took me up to 397 and they were happy. I was upset. I am now home and they told me to take 10 units of insulin twice, daily. I have decided to change the things I'm eating and start fasting as well. Also going to start using vitamin and mineral supplements in liquid form. No more refined foods, especially sugar. I will drink green tea with no sugar. Thank you for being here!
Well...my average bloodsugar level is around 140 daily...I haven't dropped my natural reserves fully...more fasting! I have been taking liquid minerals daily and have eliminated soda and fruit juices. I am drinking teas with natural Stevia and watching my carb intake. I will try to keep updating...let me know how your doing, I would certainly appreciate your sharing, thank you herbielina!
+skyseasun333 Great news in the 140. Are you off any RX meds for Diabetes? I cannot believe how easy this is! And even though I am 150lbs overweight, how much better I feel. Just in a couple weeks I have my hormone back that gives me a 'full' feeling. I am comfortable with the 20 hour fast a day. Hoping to do longer ones, but I want to go slow, because I'm sure I have fatty liver disease, undiagnosed. Got the Doctors new book, it's wonderful! God speed you on your journey.
herbielina Yes...off insulin which is the only thing the doctor prescribed. I only administered two shots before finding the truth here...I am feeling great! My weight was only 160 lbs...I am 5'7" tall...now I'm around 135 lbs. ...I will be praying for you....and your doing great! Stay in touch...!
+Jason Fung I started Intermittent Fasting the day I just came accross one of your videos, I just stumbled across your video and I am so glad I did, I've fasted using the 16:8 every day and the hunger pangs are getting less frequent, at the beginning of the fast it was really difficult but I remembered some of what you said in your videos and this helped me not to give up because contrary to popular belief like you mention many times, you're not starving when you're fasting, it's just merely our auto pilot grabbing a bar of chocolate, a doughnut or whatever and it's giving into a crave rather than real hunger, cut the craves and the "hunger" pangs decrease and what I've learned so far through IF is, part of why we eat is learned from our parents, caregivers etc It's like learning the same task but in a new way that is so beneficial to our health and wellbeing, thanks you for doing these videos, I'm passing on the information to friends and some are listening :)
I reversed my T2D in 8 months by diet alone. I also have or had fatty liver disease. I also 1) Lost about 50lbs in weight. 2) My brain fog and memory lapses have gone. I am restored. 3) I have come off my thyroid meds. 4) My HbA1c came down from 65 ( Oct 2017) to 40 (June 2018)
I am from Singapore. I admire your honesty and truthfulness of wrong treatment in diabetes before and same patient came back treated by your methods and was free of diabetes. I am proud of you am following your secrets and knowledge without doubt it is improving on third weeks of my diabetes. Thank you for saving many lives. GOD BLESS YOU AND FAMILY and ALL..
Mr Fung. You, sir, are a hero. Your relentlessness is inspiring and appreciated. Hopefully one day I get to shake your hand. I’d love to hear recommendations of doctors or sources you appreciate.
I am 79 years old for the past 12 years I’ve been telling the doctors I believe I have diabetes. They test my A1c and say no you don’t well. I have lost feeling in my feet my right leg. I don’t feel well at all. I’m going to do a doctor phone has suggested I’m going to start today, I know I have diabetes and I’m gonna take care of it. Thank you, Dr. I will stay in touch and let you know how I’m doing. I will start my fasting today.
Dr. Fung, thanks for your generosity and hard work in putting these videos together. I live in Panama and the local doctor just smiled like the proverbial Cheshire cat as he perused my medical test results announcing that I had diabetes (300+). He took out his prescription pad and sent me off for Metformin which I had never heard of. I felt like I had been given a death sentence. I hate to use the term "reformed" as it reminds me of an ex girlfriend who called herself a "reformed" smoker cutting back from 2 packs a day to 9 cigarettes, but i am now a "reformed" sugar addict down to no sugar for over a month since the diagnosis and am experimenting with fasting. Your way is the right way and I commend you for your "out of the box" approach to treating this condition.
Thank you Dr. Fung my family of origin are traditional medicine and law fields. you're honest about what most MD's won't acknowledge and your more of an Alternative Medical or leaning that way we are following and looking at your methods of turning health around. S.J.C. in M. NC
Im following Dr. Fung's videos and I was surprised that I can do fasting. Doing a 24 hours now and my BGL gets low but I can stil walk mg dog and slowly stopping meds. Just coffee, green tea and water. Will try 48 hrs in the future. A BIG THANK YOU DR.FUNG 🙏🙏🙏
We are doing this for my husbands 20 year old diabetes.. Managed to bring his sugar down almost 10 points .. but still needs more time.. .. I cant make my family understand.. or the doctors... Its so true.. You need courage and knowledge to do this. People are literally left on their own as no doctor will support us in this. thank you dr Jason.
The man a GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!! My luck of the Irish had me stubble into the videos ... Now I have the answer as to why my Diabetes only got worse. 16 years of health issues! Thanks for your telling us truth.

yes 100%..I am a medical doctor in Sri Lanka and I prescribe what Dr. Jason Fung says. Many patients and obese people got cured since.
Give Dr Jason Fung a Nobel Peace Prize.

Please sir suggest me your s plan how to lower diabetic within 6months .

This is because the liver's gluconeogenesis is in overdrive feeding you carbs whether you want them or not. Even if you do manage to become ketotic by the end of the day you have to start from square one thanks to the dawn effect.
+Bike Vids They're not evil, they're profit-oriented and amoral. The fundamental difference to keep in mind when dealing with them is that they will not do evil if it results in losses (or a risk of losses) to them.

If you have Type 2 diabetes or are Pre-diabetic, this video clearly shows how to CURE your disease and shows you why you have it.
Some people will only be able to achieve remission or reduction (even Newcastle diet had non responders who saw no improvement in first phase insulin despite massive weight loss) as not everyone's pancreas is in good shape, but regardless, everyone will see a big improvement that improves their life!

(And angry? You betcha especially for the first three months as both sugars and weight dropped without effort. )
Now.. no insulin, no victoza, no invoccana and I've cut my last drug to a quarter dose..soon to be drug free!
As far as I understood, low carb is ok but not Keto. So if you eat below 150g carb a day, it is fine for your body and good for your glucose level.
I'm 61 and have a memory and for the last 40yrs, I have been baffled by our leaders actions around the world. Now, including our medical field, I have come to the conclusion using the results of their actions, these people are either stone-cold idiots or totally sellouts and against the common man.
--
Yes your groups above are preying on our ignorance. Yes, they are against us and apparently in this for their own profit. Yes this is some some sort of conspiracy, maybe even racketeering... Hard to believe, but the facts and past history point to that very fact.
Same as Cancer Societies. Just greedy corporations sucking in peoples donations for big big salaries and bonuses.
@Ana lopez Yep and just too bad mankind is so ignorant. The USA is stuck with allowing idiots or sell-outs to run our great country and the best most citizens do is cry about how bad someone is treating them.
250txc itvis said near the day of judgement the rulers will be the most ignorant and people will respect them because they are afraid of them.
Watch out for Metfomin. There's a Lawsuit against it.
Time for a new doctor
I we t for diabetic eye cheque quite a few people waiting a d no one overweight except me but I'm not obese thinner people can get diabetes
I think it's over the top this diabetes advice mine is well controlled and has been for 13 years but I probably don't eat all the right food that's if you are allowed any and my skin is OK for my age 77
The doctors know nothing on the fake disease that they are actually responsible for!!
I've just discovered you Dr Fung ,I'm an insulin dependent diabetic for 30 years And I have multiple health problems and have just lost my driving licence due to loss of peripheral vision ,and I am devastated,I feel like I've lost my independence,I'm almost 55 and how I wish I knew all this years ago ,I hope I can still make a difference to my future health.Thank You so much ❤️
try alternate day fasting and red light therapy for your eye tissues.
It's never to late I'm 55 big mess 6.mnths ago wow I'm back to superb health with only this guy and Dr berg amazing easy results wow
Are you taking diabetes tab still?
@@arjunanand664 ……….Lowered it down to half dose.
Hi how you did fasting can you share pls am not getting from videos
so the bottom line is.
instead of having more insulin to get rid of the sugar, why not eat less sugar.
makes sense to me.
why don't they all know this?
1. Most info that is "standard" in the industry came from incorrect conclusions out of previous studies, while not connecting the dots.
2. It's a whole lot easier to throw a pill at the problem than to suggest to a T2D that they need to change their diet and lifestyle. Most won't do it.
GS home weight training,The problem goes way deeper.

Right GS and makes total sense...

Why don't they all know this? Not sure but they are either stone-cold idiots or have some agenda to NOT stop their ignorant ways they do no good for the common man. Not alot of other possibilities as to why.
Because most people don't understand that complex carbohydrates turn straight into sugar and some asshole fudged a study 50 years ago and turned the food pyramid upside down and we were told to eat lots of servings grains daily .
Dr fung really saved my life I’m 29 god bless you I have lost 115 pounds listening to all his videos. You can do it just put your mind to it
God bless you Doc, we lost our parents and friends because of lies, not because they didn't know this but they are after money. 😭😭😭
Thank you so much! I’m going to be fasting to reduce my A1C at 9.9 I was just diagnosed with diabetes and they want to give me all those drugs! Thanks to you there’s a light at the end of the tunnel! God bless!
María R you can do it.
How are you now? I just a reading of 8.2 a week ago. Immediately went to fasting.
Dr Fung is brilliantly open minded, curious, and fearless with his search for truth. His proven method of treatment is what we need as healthy humans. We have been used as a profit point for the old for-profit medical industry.
Dr. Fung cares to help people survive & recover their health.
Fasting works! Thank you, Dr Fung.
How can we get into Dr Fung's program please?
Diabetes is an insulin signalin problem NOT a sugar problem... read Himsworth paper 100 yrs of research show that. Kempner etc... th-cam.com/video/BcHHDmuyPv4/w-d-xo.html

Excellent work! But, 5.6 is too low. Did you watch the video? :) Be careful.
@@awjaaa Yes I watched it. 5.6 is supposed to be good A1C. I'm striving to keep it there.

Thank God for doctors who are open and continue to research and learn when needed. Thank you, Dr. Fung!
YES THANK GOD FOR YOU
I reversed my diabetes with intermittent fasting. Thanks Dr. Fung.
Could you please share your diet per day? I have completed a month of 24 hour fasting to cure type 2 and feel lack of energy. I consume a 250 grams to 300 grams of cooked lentil and handful of almonds at dinner time. Wheat grass powder and spinach during the day.
Rahul bai kaise Diet hai pls explain
I stopped eating bread and and sugar-laden food. BAM, pre-diabetes halted and on the run.😂
@@rahulhumanist your lack of energy is probably due to insufficient calories (a measurement of energy). You could try to eat more when you aren't fasting. Consider eating more good fats (avocado, coconut, olive oil, butter, ghee, cheese, etc.). Macadamia nuts, Brasil nuts, pecans, walnuts and other tree nuts are also good fat sources.
@@chiefengineer488I was on gluco-corticoids for asthma for past 50 years due to which I developed diabetes 5 years ago, doctor confirmed it. Now as soon as my blood sugar reaches 100 i land into an asthma attack due to high blood sugar induced oxidative stress. So I could not consume any sugar calories. My PP insulin was only 4 (normal 5-30). Doctor could not prescribe insulin either. I started using only coconut oil and veggies. Lost all my weight completely (I was always lean). I could not tolerate even 10 grams of sugars in nuts etc.
With Indian herbs--Bitter Gourd, Insulin Plant Leaf Juice, Cinnamon, Gudmar, Daruhaldi, etc. I addressed High Blood Sugar, Insulin Resistance and oxidative stress at the same time and could now tolerate Peanuts and Raw Veggies.
And yes! you are absolutely correct in assessing low energy due to low calories. I am feeling better now. Many Thanks.
In our generation to find honest doctor is a TREASURE .
This is the single, most powerful, life-changing video I have ever watched. Grateful to you for being open and bold.
We need to protect this doctor.. ❤❤❤
It takes some courage and some balls to admit "I treated him wrongly for years." My utmost respect, dr Fung. Hats down. By the way, greetings and a huge thank you from Poland, yes, we watch you here too 👍👍👍. Your advice worked like a dream for me too.
I love the little WTF on the ADA label....I laughed so hard...truth be told I figured this out on my own..I was diagnosed with diabetes 6 mos ago with a fasting BG of 386 (ouch)...I tried the ADA diet for about a Month...which funny enough was not much different then the way I had been eating before diagnosis ..I always loved my veggies and HATED white bread.....after a month of realizing my BG wasn't doing what I needed to do...I just decided to cut out what was causing my spikes..all of the bread, pasta, rice, starchy veggies...well I basically went keto...Life is good..I love my diet..I am losing weight (50 pounds so far)..and my BG is finally doing what I need it to do...I will now introduce intermittent fasting on 2 days a week....Thank you for being the voice of reason....huggles
Reverse Type 2 Diabetes. The Original Bestseller! - reverse-type-2-diabetes-the-original.blogspot.com
Sorry Jason, but fasting when you're T2DM is anything but easy. You can't get that "energy" for days of overwhelming hunger due to failure of ketosis. This is because the liver's gluconeogenesis is in overdrive feeding you carbs whether you want them or not. Even if you do manage to become ketotic by the end of the day you have to start from square one thanks to the dawn effect.
Keto combined with IF is very powerful & since eating fat kills hunger it makes IF much easier.
I am 72 years old, 5'5" and 200# and now weigh 165#, thanks to intermitten fasting and type2 is gone. Thank you, Dr. Fung!
what is your schedule for the intermittent fasting? Do you do it every day, every other day, how many hours do you go without eating?
Brilliant presentation/lecture!. Dr.Fung is a genius. Diabetics please watch this.
This is eye and mind opening. Thank you very much for the valuable information.
I am so grateful for this knowledge. It's priceless. God bless you. Thank you.
Thank you for the knowledge.
thanks for this. learning about Diabetes prevention and reversal. i am not diabetic or pre-diabetic and i want to stay healthy:
It takes a great doctor that really cares about people and their health issues
And here I am thinking there’s no cure for type 2 diabetes! Thank you Dr Fung! Great info. I’m beginning to think that I can do this.
How are you now. Did you reverse type 2?
Do you do veggies tho.. ? What veggies ??
@@lisajligoncarbs? Like veggies??? Broccoli, chauflower?
I need a doctor like you I promise I been getting lied to for 7 years now
My father started insulin in 1971 and had heart attack in spring 1974 .

I was just going to talk to my doctor about me feeling helpless about my diabetes but long story I have to find another doctor now
This might be small to some, but I was at 5.8 and became concerned because I know I was having other health issues because of my high-carb diet. I am still learning about fasting etc. but really started to go low carb, low sugar, cut the beer out and late-night eating and walking 2-4 miles a day and I have lost 30lbs and I am at a 5.6 in the last month or so.
You have an amazing testimony. Please give us an update. I have just start this journey only this week. Thank you! ☺️
Well...my average bloodsugar level is around 140 daily...I haven't dropped my natural reserves fully...more fasting!

Suki Tunes
My experience is the hunger disappeared in a few days.
Suki Tunes to help with the hunger pains drink 16 oz of ice cold water. The cold water hits your stomach and you are know longer hungry.
Suki Tunes how are you doing on it now?
There's more hunger when starting IF from HCLF; far less hunger is perceived when starting from LCHF.
