- This is my straight piped 2007 mustang gt it has stock cams, heads, and exhaust manifolds. BBK offroad catless h-pipe. muffler delete, with Magnaflow tips. if you have any other questions let me know in the comments.

Honestly you get used to your exhuast and overtime it doesn't seem as loud as it really is.

@xsithx I use a bbk offroad h-pipe and they cost around $200 and come with no cats.. but you could just cut out your cats and weld pipes in but it's at a weird spot.

I’ve always wanted a stang my dads 63 years old now he had a 73 Mach 1 back in the day and he was a mechanic so he put so much into it. He used to smoke corvettes & other cars drag racing in the streets. It had so much power yours is frickin sick tho bro!!!

Do you know what brand your manifolds are? The sound is perfect and I'd like to replicate this setup.
I was running the stock manifolds. It is a pain in the ass to install headers in this car due to having to jack the engine up. They also don't give you any power gains on our 3v's. As for the rest of the exhaust I said it at the start of the video. This exhaust was ultimately to loud for me and I put on some borla type s axle backs to get rid of some of the raspyness on deceleration.

The Floppy Bacon honestly in between. Most people are either full rasp or smooth quiet. I have some exhaust setups in mind already that satisfy my want but I’m constantly looking around the community, viewing other people setups. I’ll check out ur Instagram
@@Robin_3v very cool, we seem like we would like the same exhaust. I have tried over 12 different exhaust setups both catless and with cats and I have found that a good Balance between loud and smooth is either stock cats with a muffler delete (sounds better than you would think) or if you want a little louder catless h-pipe (x-pipes are super raspy) and a axle back like a pypes violator or borla type s. If you go catless and something like borla attack or corsa extreme it might be too loud. I know that's hard to imagine but if the car is too loud it makes it feel slower. Thats why i got rid of my strait pipe. It sounded like I was full throttle even at quarter throttle and made the car seem slow. Sorry for typing so much haha
What wheels do you have? I love them. Also what is the front chin splitter? I honestly want this exact bodysetup but in red. Also, how far did you lower it?
Hey buddy thanks! The wheels are SVE series 1 wheels. The front bumper is the GT/CS front bumper and it comes with that splitter. It is lowered pretty far about 3in if i had to guess.
I had to choose between buying an 07 GT and an 03 GT and this video sealed the deal on which one im picking. I just found my first set of mods because of it too. Thanks a lot man!

So unfortunately its very hard to find a catless h-pipe any more. The epa has been cracking down really hard. I have actually switched to the Borla type s mufflers and really like them but the car also sound great with stock cats and a muffler delete.

Thinking of picking an 07 GT up as like a weekend car. Saw one at the asking price of 5.5k and with 43k miles. Stock body but still in great condition overall. Could probably get it for lower. Would you recommend it?? Gotta ask an owner of one whether it'd be worth it :)
Really just depends on what you wana do with it. That price seems a little too good to be true one with about 50k miles should cost around 10k. They are great cars and mine has been very reliable. They sound good when you put a real exhaust in it, I am currently running borla mufflers. if you plan on making more than around 550-600hp i would probably pick a diffrent car. The internals don't like anything over that. But if you just want a fun weekend car it is just about the best thing you can get. Not a great track car but if you lower it and get some sticky tires it is even pretty decent in the twistys. Did you have anything in particular you wanted to do? Drag racing, autocross or just something fun to drive?
@@thefloppybacon8913 Yes I'm not looking for power or anything just something fun to cruise around town. Been itching to pick a GT up and yours is the perfect example of one done right.. And about the one for sale maybe it was too good to be true, or not, the cars been sold already so I won't know for sure but I'll keep my eye out in case another one pops up. Appreciate the help 🙏

Your comments are off on the msd 2 step video. What rpms you have it set to shoot flames? And which cable are you using? I just got mine today
Yeah sorry about that I noticed the comments were off and I dont know how to fix them rn. I am useing the N2MB WOT box and not the msd 2 step. I am actually using the wide open throttle shifting feater of my wot box to shoot the flames but if you want to shoot flames with just the 2 step you will either need a tune made for shooting flames or to engage the 2 step when you are rolling at around 5-10mph... why, i have no idea but thats the only way I can get mine to shoot flames only using the 2 step. Now if your mustang is supercharged it will probbly shoot flames just fine.

Yeah so I have thin walled tips so they don't have that lip on the end. They just give a little different sound.

Yes I am running the borla s type mufflers and they sound great without being too loud. If you go to my Instagram "thefloppybacon" I can send you some videos. The borla attacks with the catless h-pipe are really loud.
Tell me all the exterior mods you did?
No too much just wheels, coilovers, aluminum rear louvers, tinted headlights and tail lights. The biggest difference I think is the GT/CS front bumper i think it looks really nice.
This video doesn’t do this 3 Valve any justice it’s louder on these streets believe that she is actually loud as living fawk I couldn’t believe how loud it was passing me on international Speedway

hey bro how many miles does your car have? what common problems should i look out for ?
Mine has 180k and my other one made it to 200k before "user" failure. Around 140-170k miles the coolent hose under the intake manifold starts leaking but that's a relatively easy fix. I abuse mine almost every day and it has been super reliable almost nothing wrong with it in the last 6 years!

To add to this, mine is an 07 gt with around 158k miles. Besides regular maintenance, all I've had to replace were worn out suspension components and a fuel pump. She still purrs just fine.

Does headers help with better downshifts?
Not really, headers really just give you a little more low end torque. Will not really increase max hp at all.

@@t-roymccoy59 it will not really make it much louder, maybe a little but. Mainly just change the sound. But they are a real pain in the ass to do in our cars. You have to jack the engine up, takes a long time. That's why I haven't done it.

About how much did your straight pipe cost you?
The bbk offroad h-pipe was $200, and I made the axle backs my self the tips were around $120 so to just buy everything I would say $400, you can buy muffler deletes for around $200-300.
I did a muffler delete and then changed it over to glasspacks that add a nice sound but I’m definitely wanting to go louder while still having the glasspacks. So I’ll probably look into that exhaust.
lowering springs?
Yup so they just replace your stock springs on your stock struts. They are good if you are on a tight budget and you just want your car a little lower. I would suggest coilovers if you really want to lower your car.

@@OhSheWasOnly17 I would get a v8 if you can. If you can't afford a v8 from 2005-2009 I would look at one from 2000-2004. Unless you just like the looks of the 05-09 (my car)

Wheel set up?
They are SVE series 1's you can find them on late model restoration i believe. They are ment for the sn95 mustang but have great fitment on s197 too they are 18x9 up front and 18x10 in the rear

Definitely not haha, I don't have inspection where I live. The best exhaust combo for places with inspections is the stock cats with a muffler delete.

No lip. It is just the GT/CS front bumper. It is my favorite front bumper for the 05-09 mustangs!

Did you loose any power?
No, if anything I probably gained 5 hp. Honestly anytime you make your exaust less restrictive you will pick up some power. If you just go straight header without a tune it might lose a hp or two just because there is not enough back pressure, but as long as you have a full exaust it sould be enough back pressure without hendering the hp.
