The problem is they're not trash talking the reliability, they're trash talking the pathetically low power output. I'm a ford guy myself, a new edge mustang owner at that, and I can definitely see why people would get upset at a v8 that gets destroyed by a V6 Nissan maxima.
Also a very different 4.6, the 3v 4.6 was very unreliable in comparison to the 2v that was in the crown vics and new edge Mustangs. 3v engines are notorious for blowing spark plugs.

I love both the 3v and 2v 4.6L The 2V especially, got me through some tough times and never failed me once. My suggested an electric AC system especially if you want that power to maintain itself even with the AC on. I've seen some people in their rally rigs use a system of batteries to help along this process. But there could be easier ways just upgrading the alternator and seeing how well you can run a classic AC conversion kit on it. I know a lot of car guys hate AC for some reason. But someone who grew up in a very hot climate a car is a piece of s*** if it doesn't have AC. After a few months of living with a bypass I couldn't take the heat It was too much. The heat from the car, the pavement, other cars, the sun, it all turned into a roasting oven. I don't get why people shame others for wanting to keep or liking AC in their builds. I want to enjoy my car but I also want to be comfortable especially if you are doing something intensive like rallying, autocrossing, etc. Where the heat with your equipment can really build on you and make you suffer
Man great video. Will be doing a rebuild on my coyote engine to be able to make more power when it's no longer my daily. Going to save this video for reference. Excellent info!

I was looking at fuel setups earlier tonight and was going to order the 1000hp On3 fuel setup tonight as well for my 3v. Sounds like a good choice for the money.
I think it's worth mentioning that forged parts can withstand higher power but generally have a shorter lifespan due to the way the material reacts to friction and before it has reached operating temperature. I'd recommend looking at hypereutectic or cast pistons that match or exceed your planned torque, RPM and combined power figure. I'm not a professional though and I'd say it's always advisable to do your own research.
I always loved how turbo cars can have that programmable waste gate to make more or less power. I wonder why we dont see it with other types of forced induction.

Also, your fog lights have been flawless on the front of my GT, and have now seen the roads between Nashville and New Hampshire. They’re now learning the backroads of rural NH after moving back up here two weeks ago.
Glad to hear it and thanks for the order Michael ✌
Currently in the process of building my 3v. Stumbled across your videos and absolutely love the attention to detail.
I just supercharger my stock 3V and I plan to buy another motor and do all the work before swapping. I've done research but this is awesome. KEEP IT UP
Theres something about engine building that put a smile on my face I cant wait to see it done
Been so excited for this video. In the time it took you to make this vid I got a paxton and new wheels lol
I bought a silver 3 v this summer and the information you have been providing as far as dyno run results and updates with parts has been invaluable. Also definitely recommend a cervini ram air hood, adds a whole new look to the car. Keep up the great work!
Also, a good way to skirt by if you can with a transmission that can handle less is to use a very good clutch, such as a triple disc carbon fiber clutch, it will help your transmission life and even increase what it can handle
I got a 3v 2007 mustang and I I have similar power goals to you. Thank you for showing the process for your mustang and everything that goes into it! I have yet to see a single other channel dive into it as you have.
Thanks Benjamin ✌
I like the fact "You do you". Alot of talkers on the Internet but not too many doers. Engine sounds great.
Hey great research and content! Very informative , please make follow up when you can. I replaced my s197 with a fresher 74k 3v that I plan to do the same exact thing you are within the next 6 months. I stand behind the 3v all the way
Dude you remind me of my deceased brother so much. You even talk like him. I have his 2000 sn95 Mustang.
Because of these videos I'm finally going to build it up to honor him.
I know that's what he would want.
Great videos my friend. Subbed and liked!
I just built my 3v except ported heads installed cams, a Roush supercharger, 302 Stroker @9psi made 570rwhp I say you'll well be hitting your goal good luck!!
Nice dude, that's solid for sure.
Always love to see a new upload from Four Eyes. Doing all this R&D for us fellow 3v owners is dope, and the way he presents his content is top notch every single time. I feel like I read somewhere that he's an engineer or in marketing/accounting or something? Can't remember, but surely I can't be the only one curious about his professional occupation!
I don’t have at all the american insight onto these cars, but your mustang looks like a dream car to me, so clean 🧼
People talk garbage about the 4.6, yet they do realize the 4.6 was in the Crown Vic... the world's most durable vehicle.
uhhhhhh,ok?
The problem is they're not trash talking the reliability, they're trash talking the pathetically low power output. I'm a ford guy myself, a new edge mustang owner at that, and I can definitely see why people would get upset at a v8 that gets destroyed by a V6 Nissan maxima.
@@chrishernandez2490 true
Also a very different 4.6, the 3v 4.6 was very unreliable in comparison to the 2v that was in the crown vics and new edge Mustangs. 3v engines are notorious for blowing spark plugs.
@@chrishernandez2490 I get your point that they are very slow from the factory. Especially in todays standards. But modified they really aren't slow. 11s NA is possible. This out of a cheapo mustang gt. Not bad for the price point.
I really appreciate all the Information you’ve given in this video. You explained so much and clearly up a lot of questions I couldn’t figure out! Good luck on the build and I’m happy for you.
ive always liked the 3v mustangs. As a GM guy Id love to get a 05-09 GT to play with one day. Lots of attention to detail in both car and videos, nice work.
Appreciate it, thanks for watching
Bro, this 3V Mustang is siiiick! I'd love to see more on this mustang. Well done, you've just won yourself a subscriber. :)
After your project is all finished you should be working with Brenspeed!
This is awesome! I’m building a Ford 400 motor in autos class and I just wanted to know more about doing engine rebuilds and how it all works.
Glad to wait 2 months instead of 3 for this video! It just keeps getting more interesting. People fail to realize from the beginning you bought this because you like the way it looks knowing the “superiority” of the 5.0.
Can't wait to see this thing in action. It's going to be badass. It's good to see a video for you. It's been a while.
I just wanted to say I really enjoy your videos. The mixture of quality information and some sweet shots, graphs, dyno pulls, etc. is very easy to watch. Out of curiosity what editing software are you using? Im looking to step my editing game up and could use some good advice. Best of luck with your build. Im excited to see the direction you go with the transmission, flywheel, clutch, etc.
Thanks man, appreciate that. I use Photoshop and After Effects mainly, but it's hard to recommend AE as it's pretty tedious to use. I think of it like having a set of surgical instruments instead of a knife and fork.
Excellent video man. I like how your content actually aligns with the video title. Wish more were this honest and skilled at their craft.
I have a 2000 gt with full bolt ons and a vortec v2 making 520 HP. I love my 4.6
I dont even have a 3v and I still love watching these videos!
Just had my 05' 3v built in a similar way as yours. I wish you made this video a year ago haha so I knew what to look for. Great video and great way of explaining everything! 👍
I just picked up a 2020 gt pp1. It's a blast! I've never cared about cornering but since I have few miles under my belt with this car i find myself pushing this thing over my skill set. Mods planned: lowering springs, bmr cradle lockout, aftermarket exhaust and mgw shifter.
Awesome video, thanks for the info. can’t wait to start building my 3v mustang.
Why does everyone have to hate builds they are not familar with. This guys knowledge is impressive and you can tell he's passionate for his build and he doesn't care what people say he loves that mustang and hes too busy doing more research to improve that baby.im actually a huge fan of the 4.6 not for its power but its availability 👍👍🤙
Been awhile since you’ve posted, love your car & build. Makes my close to stock Tightie Whitie so boring but its a driver. I want rear end gears & cams bad. But a new apartment & furniture took that out of the equation for this year. I think I’ve seen all of your videos but wondering if you’ve done axle gears & steering components? Keep up the good work & hope to see new stuff from you soon
Dude...your videos and content is so DOPE! The videography, the camera work, the lighting, the CONTENT and tech knowledge...just AMAZING for an average Joe doing this on your own. This is professional grade stuff bruh!!!
hey thanks man 🙏
Voodoo Racing. Heard a lot of good things. And a friend of mine had a lot of work done. Seems to be happy with it. Same type of mustang as well. I believe he did a TR6060 swap with HCI. And an on3 single turbo kit. Also Frank is a very upfront guy. He will tell you pricing and everything to expect with the pro's and con's on what your doing.
I love both the 3v and 2v 4.6L
The 2V especially, got me through some tough times and never failed me once.
Four Eyes videos is TH-cam gold!
thanks mitchell ✌
Have a t56 built and swapped for a transmission. Solid gears, stiff shifting. Its a bolt up and you'd be more than happy with it
If I can't get the 5-speed rebuilt to handle the power, this is what I'll do.
Man great video. Will be doing a rebuild on my coyote engine to be able to make more power when it's no longer my daily. Going to save this video for reference. Excellent info!
Thanks Chris 💪
Super stoked to see the new video I am waiting till I am out of the army to build my engine I am glad to see that I am not the only weirdo
The 3 valves get a lot of hate, it’s nice to see someone who likes them, Mine was the most reliable car I’ve ever owned, I just passed it along to my brother yesterday
This is one of the better and more detailed videos I have seen in a while. Keep up the good content!
I love how you teach us as you learn. Very informative and interesting video. Can't wait to see the 3V turn into a beast! Excited for you man!
My father-in-law is a retired Senior Master Tech for Ford and when I don't feel like bugging him with idle curiosity about my 3V, I rewatch Four Eyes
Best channel I found it for mustang and the owner is awesome keep going man I watch all ur videos
and ur mustang looking crazy 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you brother 🙏
@@Four_Eyes 🙏
I like the build. Buying parts that are designed and proven to work together, and all ready for bolt-in.
Such an awesome and informative video! Keep it up, brother. I'll be here to watch
Great video as always, I even like before watching because i know its about to be an awesome video. Keep up the great content, you deserve more subs.
Thanks Joel ✌
this is my dream build for my 3v cant wait to see the this car completed
I was looking at fuel setups earlier tonight and was going to order the 1000hp On3 fuel setup tonight as well for my 3v. Sounds like a good choice for the money.
nice video, but whats the sountrack used at the end? 13:25
I’ve been waiting for this video all 2020.
Now it’s time to add some boost!!!😈
Hands down best 3V channel out there!
Appreciate that 🙏
Thank you so much, I needed this information as I am starting to rebuild engines for my local race club.
Love the hate comments in the start , keep doing your built brotha , love all the knowledge you give to us , and also highly recommend to go tr6060
I always loved how turbo cars can have that programmable waste gate to make more or less power. I wonder why we dont see it with other types of forced induction.
Actual goldmine of information. I learned so much.
