May be I don't understand something, but this softeness is unforgivable strong. 18:49 - it's really DSLR with Cine lens? Looks more like smarpthone from 2017
Hello! I just bought a 50 mm SLR magic, but when I put it on my Fuji Xt4 it doesn't record. The image is perfect and also all the functions. I have tried with other lenses and it records normally. I don't know if you can help me to find out what the problem is. Thank you.
So I have a pair of X-T4’s and I purchased a Open Box 12mm version from B&H. As soon as I got it I had issues using my Tilta Nucleus-M motors with the lens that is an “X” mount because the iris gears are so close to the camera body. What have you done to rectify this issue knowing you are using the X-T3’s? I also have a SmallRig camera cage setup (With the battery grip) to use the 15mm rails and it’s extremely tough trying to get something close to move those particular gears.
@@MaineMountainMedia No worries. This makes me think that if I am going to get these lenses that I will get them in a different mount to X considering the adapter will move it away from the sensor and then the iris gear can be utilized if needed.
Maybe I missed it, but you didn't tell me if the lenses use the Fuji autofocus in the bodies. After this I have no idea if it communicates with the body.
try checking out the Nucleus Nano from Tilta for your shoulder rig and have the focus wheel on an arm to get you yo a more comfortable position to mitigate fatigue . or go all out and get easyrig. just ideas
awesome content
Great review! Exactly what I was looking for, thanks guys!
Because of maths and for physics reasons, we are Fuji X-mount shooters! 😎👍
very honest and down to earth review

This is a manual lens without any electronic connections. Make sure you select option dial setting and choose shoot without lens.
@@monlegaspi Thank you so much!
Does focus peaking work on the Fuji bodies with 3rd party lenses like SLR Magic?
sure does!

Getting a gear on the iris ring hasn’t worked for us. We only use the focus pull. Wish we could help more.

@@rossprohaska6263All the mounts are mirrorless, so you won’t get much distance.
Grate review!
I have a set on BMCC4K and they do not lock solidly in the mount. The follow focus motor jiggles the lens in the mount.
Wireless sennheisers will kill any sound from the gears. I use them all the time and never worry about any camera noise.
instaBlaster...

Sorry I should have been more clear, these are full manual lenses. No autofocus, no electronic communication with the camera.
So because the Lens is soft, do you jack up your Fuji's sharpness setting?
We haven't done that but we do add a little sharpening in post.

Great idea! I think the Nucleus Nano is in our future!
Metal gears?
Yes the gears are metal
most importantly, what kind of dogs do you have? the black and white one especially?
Krishna we both have Cardigan Welsh Corgis. Macallan is the bigger one and Nova is the small tri-color. They are great companions.
Through explanation, would have liked more video examples.
Can you swap the mounts?
The SLR Magic primes come in different mounts, but I'm not sure if you can swap them manually.
@@MaineMountainMedia That would be the dream! That was one of the really good features of Veydra primes, is a pity they're no longer made
Why video and not stills?
Because these are specifically designed for video.
25mm is not available in x-mount
Yeah, I'm not sure why they discontinued the 25mm in x-mount. Glad we got ours when we did, guess we got lucky!
i hate when people use terms like pricepoint and other bland offical sounding shit honestly sounds like ur a real g commercial salesmon
