I want to make one like this, but for our twin electric beds and I'll use the two head side sections to make hidden storage boxes with hinges on the wall side and strong magnets to keep it tightly shut, so the pannels will look like they're nailed on the sides. I'll just need to cut out openings where the moving parts of the beds are lower than the frames.
Well Bill, I have watch several of them and I like yours so I'm going to copy yours frame by frame the only thing I think you should have done with yours which I'm going to implement in mine is the third drawer I think it can be use as a storage for stuff you don't use that often.

Here's a link to Dave Ramsey's tutorial on how to learn sketchup. It's how I learned. Very excellent. If you browse his channel, he also has a video on how to build a similar platform bed with storage drawers. It is what I used as a basis for mine. Not sure what you are asking but build the frames for the sides first, then build the frames for the front and back to whatever dimension you need to hold the width of your mattress. Attach all those pieces together, then you will know the length that is needed for the two middle frames. I hope that answers your question.

Good question! Thought it would keep dust and bed linen lint out of the drawers, but totally not necessary.
Too many parts to assemble. There's ways to simplify the whole thing.
Anytime you can simplify a process you are ahead of the game.
Have anywhere we can grab the sketch up files? Would like to learn sketch up and build something similar. Might make a good start to learning.
