      it can be passed off as a handle, since the backboard is so large. honestly might even come in handy for that purpose if he ever moves to another house and doesn't want to fully disassemble the light panels, thereby losing the ability to grab the headboard there

    Obviously this is down to personal aesthetic preference, but if you are going to remake the LED panels anyway, you could think about making them in a "warm white" tone instead of the "cool white" you have here. This gives a sort of "cozier" look fitting in a bedroom and I personally think it would look better against the yellow tones in the wood.

      Or you could just remove the switches and outlets on both sides and build an inlet using so called „Hohlwanddosen“ which are 35mm deep. Then you can add the switches to the front side of the head board and do not need to use the wall switch in a „hole“. And you can choose a different switch/outlet design matching your bed‘s design.

    • @ArystanTatishev
      @ArystanTatishev 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Why don't you just move the outlets 12mm down? An electrician can do that and all you'd have to do is just fill in the wall. I'm sorry if you have already considered it.

    If you haven't made any changes to the light panels yet, you could add 12mm feet to the bottom of your legs and raise the entire bed up; that would also require lengthening the retention strings on your drawers, but all of that could be easier and cheaper than redoing the light boxes.

    Truly, "What a project!". Superb build, with every detail (the border around the sides, the lights, the bedside drawers, the hidden drawers, the rounded edges) being so unique & beautifully done. Bravo 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼!!

    If those bars are made for what I think thy are: They wont be enough.
    Been there, just added 4 fixture points to my first bed build. They are always in the wrong position and never just work. Got so frustrated that I almost never used them. My new bed has hidden airline rails, so much more flexible and I used a similar system to hide them ;)

    Marius! This bed is exceptional. Not only the look and functionality of it - that you thought it up and figured out how to make it! Looks great. You have many skills and incorporate them all in builds like this. Keep up the excellent work.
    I have missed your videos - they have been a long time between lately. I can see how this one took considerable time, but I hope we don't have to wait so long for the next one - I really enjoy your personality, cleverness and skill. Thanks for sharing with us.

    Small 1.25" blocks added on the bottom of the legs would fix that problem. Seems like it would fit just up to the wall/ceiling transition. Well done. Amazed at the creativity in this build.

    ist die Arbeit die dahinter steckt wirklich unfassbar.

    30:37, adding one more layer of plexi diffuser some distance from the covering one can fix it, also consider warmer white, not to be awaken completely at night by blue spectrum

    Well executed and incredible work Marius! Two tiny things I like to mention: Put something between your hidden drawers and the mmattresses to prevent dust from building up inside the drawers. Nobody likes freshly washed but dusty bedsheets ;)
    second thing: Most of the touch sensors are actually "opened" capacitors. On the PCB there's resonant circuit that oscillates with the "metal frame capacitor". The frequency of this is measured. By touching it the oscillation frequency changes - this is detected.

    What an epic build! And at the end, the light fixture lining up with the sockets. Just move the sockets down! A drywall saw and a few hours and you're done.
