    Here are some corrections pointed out by rogadip and sagittariousa! Huge thanks to them! Some were from dev clarifications on stuff that isn't mentioned in the rulebooks, others were oversights by me. I strongly suggest you use the rulebook rewrite project PDF, The latest version is consistent with all of the corrections that were pointed out: github.com/Heegu-sama/Homm3BG/releases/tag/v1.0
    - Setup: For campaigns, you don't get both the difficulty bonus and the scenario bonus (you only get the latter).
    - 47:33 You can only choose the reinforce first time bonus from a settlement if you also chose the reinforce income. You can't mix and match resource income and reinforce bonus.
    - 57:08 During a retaliation attack, you can only play cards with the instant (lightning bolt) symbol. My magic arrow didn't have it.
    - 1:35:25 The Lich's ability to gain a second attack should have not been triggered because it's an ATTACK ability (the axe symbol) not a retailate ability (sword symbol). Attack abilities only trigger during that unit's activation. Everything else mentioned and shown in the video during the Lich attack is still correct. Also keep in mind that if the Lich was the only unit adjacent to the enemy unit it's attacking, the Lich would attack itself for the second attack (confirmed by devs).
    - 1:53:20 I forgot to trigger the minotaur's attack ability. When the AI is instructed to "draw a card", draw it from the top of the AI deck and resolve it.
    - Scenario End: Magic Arrows are not automatically part of your deck for the next scenario unless you decide to include them as part of the 5 cards.

      1:55:54 Magic arrow is not an instant spell, but one that can be casted when one of your units gets activated. Therefore, you should not be able to cast this spell between the Halberdiers attack and the Minotaurs' retaliation.

    In the fight around 44mins you could've not lost anything by not attacking with the halberdier on round 1. I believe you could've defended instead and saved yourself a card when attacked. Then the Halberdier's retaliation had dealt the extra damage from being a Pack, then the Griffin would've tanked the retaliation on round 2 and then the halberdier's attack on round 2 would've killed it without anyone going down since it would still be a pack at that point and would've gone before the mummy. Instead you were left in a position where your halberdiers were unable to deal damage to the mummy on round 2 and so it got completely wiped out. This also meant you needed to use another movement token.
    I really like how this board game has managed to preserve the tactics of the video game. I gotta get my hands on this!

      Yeah I'm really used to playing aggresively to try to finish the neutrals in 1 round, I tend to forget I can use Defend!

    Hello, thx for your video. I'm french but I understood most of the explanations but I have 3 questions. For the moment, i saw only the round 1. In the 1st fight, why Zombie don't retaliate after the attack of Halberdiers ? Second question : It seems to me that each time an opposing unit is activated you have to draw a card from the AI ​​deck, but you didn't. A reason in particular ? And third question : It seems to me that during a solo game, you don't need to spend movement points to continue the fight, you have to go to the end, is that correct?

      1) Could you point at the time stamp where the zombie didn't retaliate? I checked and the zombie did retaliate.
      2) Neutral units don't draw from the AI deck (common mistake, I also made it). Only draw cards from the AI deck when fighting enemy heroes.
      3) You need to pay movement points to continue Neutral fights for extra rounds, even in solo. This isn't necessary when fighting enemy heroes though.

    Great playthrough! One question: what about duplicates in combat (since with kickstarter miniatures you have only 1 miniature). I think I read some FAQ or something saying that if you draw any duplicate card (second minotaurs for example) you draw again.

      Hi! I haven't heard of such a rule anywhere. I think that limitation would only make sense with the Battlefield expansion which requires the use of the miniatures.

      That only applies for the battlefield expansion.
      Miniatures arnt used anywhere else, and its only recommended you use battlefield during player vs player battles :) .

    Could you, please, tell why last battle wasn't a siege with castle walls and sniper tower in place?

      Hi! The enemy doesn't have a town board, so unless the scenario specifies otherwise, it doesn't have the necessary dwellings that provide those cards. The first Rampart campaign scenario, for example, explicitly does instruct you to give the enemy wall and gate cards (see Rampart mission book page 10)

    For campaigns you only get the starting bonus in the campaign, you do not add the difficulty bonus. This has been confirmed by the devs.

      Also, if you choose to reinforce for free from a Settlement, you will not get any income from it in the future: "*This is a single-use effect. The Settlement does not produce any income unless another player Flags the field."

      @@rogadip I don't doubt that that's the correct way to do it, but if reading the settlements sections from top to bottom, I should have been able to do what I did. The asterisk* you mentioned is referring to the first step where you "Choose" the income. I didn't choose to reinforce, I chose gold. Next comes the bonus paragraph. I can either gain the income I chose immediately, or reinforce immediatly. It doesn't say that I can't choose to reinforce if I chose gold as my income.

      I know what you mean it is still fairly clear. When you flag you choose one of three options where reinforce is one of them. Then it says you get a bonus that is the income *chosen at the time*, i.e. it connects to the first paragraph. If you chose gold, then your bonus cannot be valuables or reinforcing.
      Also it says when you use reinforce bonus you will get one for free *instead*
      That instead refers to instead of just paying half which you normally would do.

      @57:08 you cannot play a spell after attack dice have been rolled (unless card text says so, such as Resurrection).. So you must play instant spells for that. This was clarified in the Devs Commentary I think.

    Great video, thx. One thing I didn't understand. You get 5 gold every round. And then all of a sudden you get the 10 gold. You said the city, not earning money in this campaign.
    The houses in the village do not give you money for production. So where do you get it from? It must be in the video but I can't find it.

      Hi! Thank you! You are supposed to set gold income to 10 and other resources to 0 at the beginning of the campaign (as per Mission Book page 18 instructions) I simply ignore the town income and only collect gold from captured mines and settlements (I still use the town board to keep track of it though).

      @@varroistvanprivat No you only gain 5. I simply ignore the first 10 for this scenario. The town board doesn't have a "0" resource spot for gold so I don't have another spot to put the cube.

    1:53:20 Doesn't the Minotaur effect trigger or is it handled differently with the AI deck?
    p.s: The devs said, you don't carry over the magic arrow cards except you chose them to include them in the 5 you can carry over.

      AI Minotaurs will draw a card from the AI deck and resolve it asap.

    I just saw that this game exists. Is this a great game for my parameters I list below? If not, what game is? I would buy the entire game with all the expansions if it works for me.
    1) I see now it has SOLO gameplay.
    2) I need a game I can play Solo over and over again to memorize gameplay so when I play with friends and family it is fun for them without them having to memorize the rules.
    3) Having dragon pieces that exists and you can encounter is of great interest to me.
    4) Having a rulebook that is so deep you need your nose in the book more than actual gameplay is not within my availability of time for me to enjoy the game.
    4) Having figurines included is desired.
    5) Replayability with scenarios which slightly change (if you choose to replay it) is a must to give me the desire to invest my limited time to learn the game.
    This game looks like a good choice but, I have no idea if there are other more practical games out there already that cover my parameters?
    Can you recommend a game out there that would be of the most value for me to invest my time (and finances) in?

      Hi! I'll do my best:
      1) Yes
      2) To some extent. There are a small handful of rules that aren't relevant in solo that you'll have to learn and remember when you decide to play multiplayer.
      3) The game has a few awesome dragon minis if you decide to play using minis
      4) The rulebook in this case, even if you use the fan made updated one, will require some time commitment and practice to learn properly
      5) Replayabiloty is great. Many things vary even if you replay the scenario (order in which you explore tiles, cards you find, neutrals you fight, etc). Replaying the same scenario never feels samey.
      You have very specific needs (for example the dragon mini thing) so if you want other game recommendations you'll have to name a few, but I can't think of one that specifically meets everything you listed.

    1:35:38 Regarding the liches special ability. 1) Your subtitle is incorrect, the secondary target has to be adjacent to the primary target not to the liches, so the troglodytes were actually a valid secondary target. 2) Had the troglodytes not been there, the liches would have attacked THEMSELVES, since they are adjacent to the primary target as well. 3) In this case technically you could have randomly make a decision whether the liches special ability attacks the troglodytes or themselves, as both of these would have been a valid target.

      Grey dice are signified by shovel and pickaxe icon on the map, the treasure chest is yellow dice.

      I rolled the correct dice, the rulebook component shot has the colors switched, which is weird. Resource die provide resources (gold, valuables, building materials) and are colored gray. Treasure dice provide the other stuff, and are colored yellow, which I rolled.

      From your hero deck. If your hero deck is empty, reshuffle the discard pile to form a new deck and keep drawing

      You leave it in play, and the when a die is rolled, you can reroll it once. It's not clear if you can do it multiple times in the round before having to discard the luck card though.

      @@Azure_Death yeah this is exaclty what I want to point out hahaha. It can actually means both x) Although, I'm a french native, so I red the french version, and it litteraly translate as, each die in the french version. This is an example of a translation problem 😅

      You can only reroll once, since ongoing effect cards are discarded after using their effect.
      Per rule book:
      effects last until they are used up or until the player who played them starts their next turn (whichever happens first).
      Basically during this turn you can reroll any die and discard Luck after you do so, or if you do not reroll any die you discard it at the start of your next turn.
