I used to roll my eyes at Apple fan boys. I was getting very concerned about where Microsoft was taking Windows. My daughter got an iPhone, air pods and a watch. She kept saying how everything just works. Seems I had re-pair my Google Earbuds with my Pixel and Windows PC nearly every time I used them. So I got an iPhone and a MacBook. I'm fully into the ecosystem now. Apple TV, Watch, Air Tags, everything. I read where people hate the Apple "Walled-Garden". I want the walled garden. Everything works and it's beautiful. The walled-garden is what sold me. Tired of shoe stringing devices, services and software together. I'll never go back to anything else.
What do you like about it? I have an old android phone, and iPad 9 that I want to upgrade to the air 13 inch and apple pencil pro and a decent little windows PC. And I am in the look out for a Samsung ultra or an iPhone. what made you dislike android?
@loveArtnotFood this generation, the s24u offers more than the 15 series. If you wanna wait for the 16 to see what apple offers, I'd wait. But the main selling point for the s24u is the anti reflective coating.
Did the transfer a few weeks ago. Only waiting for the iPhone 16.Verry pleased with everything sofar. The communication between MacBook, iPad and EarPods is great. I was hard to convince to try the switch, but glad I did.
One thing about the seamless connection is the AirPods. You mentioned they pair very easily, but you didn’t mention that they connected automatically between devices. I can start listening to music on my iPhone but want to switch to watching a video on my iPad, I can just do it and the AirPods will automatically switch to the iPad. You don’t have to disconnect from your phone and reconnect to the iPad.
I transitioned to the Apple ecosystem when they released the M series chips for all of the reasons you covered. It looks like we have similar gear with the exception of the Studio display. I just can't justify the expense with my use case so I opted for a 27" 2K ASUS ProArt display. It's a decent runner up and it doesn't affect the integration of my Apple devices (Sidecar, Airdrop, etc.).
I have the iPhone 15, Apple Watch Series 9, iPad Air 5th Gen, Macbook Air M2, AirPods Pro 2, and other apple accessories. I have loved how seamless everything interconnects to one another and how they feel premium from software and hardware. Give it some more time and you will love them even more!

I switched to apple with the iPhone X. I was a lifelong android fanboy but the Galaxy Note 8 I had at the time and had so many issues with that phone I decided to make a change. I’ll never go back now.
I got a new Windows laptop a few months after my wife got a new MacBook Air, and my laptop is showing a lot of wear. The build quality of my Windows laptop is definitely not up to the same quality as the MacBook. Plus her MacBook integrates well with her iPhone, where iTunes on my laptop is terrible. I'm on the verge of giving in and fully jumping into Apple ecosystem.
What got me to switch from android and windows to Apple was in part the privacy record. Just today I read a story where the Pixels had been sending private data to Google’s servers without user knowledge. Google is essentially an ad company. I just stopped trusting them. Also having to wait for updates and new software versions drive me nuts.

You missed the most important thing that is cross device copy paste :") It is like you copy a text or an image on lets say iPhone & u can paste it on Mac or iPad. This is my most favorite feature of all time
My favorite feature is being able to get standard SMS, Green bubble, texts on all of my Apple devices rather than just my phone and also being able to make and receive standard phone calls on those devices.
some of these where implemented by samsung and it works well, others don’t. an example is universal copy paste which works flawlessly, and voice calls on the pc which never really worked and it depended on a bluetooth connection??? i also am pretty happy with beign in the apple ecosystem and some people really don’t understand and say “just install this app and it will do it for you” and they don’t understand that i DONT WANT to install and i want it to work nicely. normally, most of the apps will have some quirks. i really like how apple has polished these features to work well, principally sidecar over usb which wasn’t recreated on windows (i think so at least, the last time i tried it just worked via network and it was laggy)
This is me. I used to hate Apple. Then I tried a iPhone 13. I have been hooked since. I have the IPhone 15 Pro, the Apple Watch Ultra 2, and the 2018 IPad Pro to start off my Echo system.
Apple OS is what won it for me ,the system upgrades every where at the same time with no bloatware. with android you have manufacturers os overlaid on android and the os upgrades don’t happen till it’s tested by manufacturers and in some cases carriers .
Regarding iMessage, Apple didn't decide to support RCS out of the goodness of their heart. They are likely trying to keep antitrust legislation at bay both at home and certainly in the EU.
Yep, I feel this. I was all about Windows and Android for many years. These days I wouldn't own a windows PC or android phone. If I had to use them I'd rather not even own a computer or phone.
my case is entirely different , i went from full android user to apple and it sucked , the phone app was trash , file manager was shit , notification panel sucked and everything was problematic. I almost used it for like less than a yar and sold everything my mac and my iphone and went with samsung book and s23U. The problem is that people switching to apple from cheap products. Because whatever you said works seamlessly with my galaxy ecosystem including my Tab S9 ultra which i brought recently
To be honest, I have never had an android phone at all. I work with those very basic zebra android phones for retail that have terrible reception and amongst other things, I personally don't like. I've worked with windows computers for numerous things like school or work. But what keeps me in the ecosystem is the build quality of all their products, iMessage and all of my music I've owned brought with my own money is tied to my Apple ID. Not to mention, I've owned and used a few iPods over the years as well and still use one to this day.
Pixel is the only phone that keeps me away from going back to an iPhone. Google is making it harder for users who love the Pixel experience to switch to another device. I don't see myself ever switching to an iOS phone because the software limitations are just too restrictive. I feel claustrophobic using it. I have to use an iPhone for work and iOS just sucks as an user experience. It's just not intuitive to me. The hardware may be good, although the phones always seem top heavy and unbalanced, but the usability is so archaic. And that is adding RCS Messaging to their iPhones this fallz now we are going to have the ability to send and receive high quality photos and videos while texting someone with an iPhone there is really no reason why I need to switch back to Apple.
Sure thing! I use the Comply Foam Tips. They stay in my ears much better and create a better seal for noise cancellation. Here's a link to the ones I use but there are a bunch of other brands as well. amzn.to/423E5MX
The Apple mouse grows on you the more you use it to the extent I’ll never use another mouse and I actually don’t use the excellent track pad that is on every MacBook. The charging location doesn’t bother me because the battery lasts a long time and when it’s not in use I rest it on a third party charger that I bought for a reason price.
I, too, am not a fanboy. I've been a PC/Android guy for years. Apple lost me when they started seling the studio display for 1500.00. Plus, their closed architecture and frustrating repair policy was a turnoff. However, I recently suffered vision loss, and Apple's iPad, with its advanced accessibility features were much easier for me to use than a traditional computer. That's all it takes...one device. The eco-system is a compelling draw. I now have the iPhone, iPods, watch and mini HomePods. Nobody blends their products better than Apple.
wasn't a "fanboy", but apple customer service is superb. I started with iPods but androids everything else. I got my first high end Apple product with iPhone 13pro max. Next came the AirPods and Apple Watch. High end HP laptop died prematurely. Decided to get a comparably equipped MacBook Pro. Now looking at AirPods Max, but hesitant.
Ya that seems to be the path for a lot of people. Start with 1 thing, end up with everything. For the AirPods Max, I have to assume they’ll do a refresh of them in the next year or 2 so it might make sense to hold off for a little. Especially since it’s one of the few things that still has a lightning charge port.
I'm actually the opposite of what you have done. Started with the 13 Pro Max and switched to the Galaxy S23 Ultra. I currently use the Airpods Pro Gen2 with the Galaxy. I might switch back next year lol.
I’ve always been curious how well the AirPods would work with Android phones. I assume they basically are just solid earbuds but don’t have a lot of the customization that is available on Apple devices?
@@JohnHelmuth_ Yup they sound pretty much as what youw pups expect, however you can't use voice assistants and no customizability unless you do it on an apple device. It sometimes resets it's settings so that's annoying. No in ear detection either, but pauses when it's put in the case.
This is all great; but, for those of us who like hardware & who also know that this is somewhere Apple really drops the ball. With OS you can build any desktop you want & swap components. Whereas with IOS you can only swap a limited number of components. Frankly, I can build a better computer that is substantially cheaper than anything offered by Apple.
Apple sadly makes great devices which is why they get away with a lot of bs. One can however use apple products and still hate the company. Due to my usage needs, the only apple device that made sense for me to get is the macbook. Thanks to KDE Connect I still enjoy decent interconnectivity with my phones and tablet, as well as my desktop PC however (Sending files, accessing device storage, shared clipboard, ring my device and so on). Still I detest Apples business strategy. If they opened up their devices more (for example let linux and windows users develop for iPhone, also making sindeloading more accesible, or allow Garmin smartwatches to actually work properly) it would allow for more competition so Apple couldnt withhold features indefinetely but would be forced to improve their products to be able to compete on their platforms.
I agree completely. There are a lot of opportunities for Apple to get rid of the reputation as a money grab machine, but they continue to intentionally not do that. But I guess that’s why they’re consistently one of the richest companies in the world…
