    The old Stadium was so loud, even during an afternoon regular season game

      The new stadium is nothing but a over priced corporate pen. The old Yankee Stadium had much more personality.

    • @samuraispiderman4310
      @samuraispiderman4310 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      True! The old stadium had way more energy. Mussina was worth every penny that we signed him for.

    The most shocking thing about this game is that it's a Yankees-Red Sox day game in the middle of the week. That would never happen now.

      Moose didn't do roids. He averaged a 17-10 record over 17 seasons. Clemens 17-9 over 24. Moose 3.6 era Clemens 3.12. Moose 270 wins in 537 games. Clemens 354 in 708. If Moose Would of had 7 more seasons at minimum 12.5 wins avg. he passes Clemens in wins. Moose was still slinging the ball at 40 20-9 that season. Moose may not have the strikeouts or same wins. Buy he was one of the nest pitchers of the 90's. Gonna be in the hall before 2020.

    • @doublem1975x
      @doublem1975x 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      12.5 wins over 7 seasons marks a HUGE difference in performance, as does a .50 difference in career ERA. Mussina wasn't anywhere in Clemens' class.

      Great post. Caught the very end of the near perfect game and wondered why Mussina didn't throw something in the dirt and make Everett chase with two strikes. For awhile I thot Posada didn't want to deal with anything down and away and risk the perfect game with a passed ball. But after seeing this, I can see why they went up and in. If Mussina would have completed this perfect game he'd probably be in the Hall by now...or if he had completed one of the four or five close calls he had on no-hitters. But he'll get there. Maybe 2019...for sure 2020.

    We should’ve won the World Series in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2006. Not only that, but we should won 7 extra regular season games in the 2000 season and at the time, home field advantage in the World Series should’ve been decided based on overall record, not who won the All-Star game. I don’t think we would’ve won in 2004, though because those Red Sox were desperate for revenge. I know this based on the fact that they swept the Cardinals in that 2004 World Series.

      jasonarokisraj9817... in 2000, home field in the WS was still being alternated every year between the NL and the AL. It didn't matter who had the better record or who won the ASG. This was the way it had been since the first WS in 1903. The practice of awarding HF advantage to the league that won the ASG didn't start until after the tie in the '02 ASG.
