Watched this game from about the 10th row behind 1st base... so close. Mussina was so dominant in the AL East, very underrated what he accomplished.

We remember this game because my mother in law was visiting us from Florida; She had moved from Baltimore in 1986. I was surprised when she asked to go to a game (we were long time season ticket holders) but we got special seats for this game. I’ll never forget Sandy Alomar getting that one hit, jumping up out of our seats. We tried to impress upon the MIL that what we witnessed was pretty special. I think she was more excited about getting a real Esskay hot dog.
