As a 18 year old man and you are escaping multiple wild fires all by yourself, ETHAN IS A SUPER BRAVE MAN!!!!! In future episode, let us know of any technology you could use to see forest fires (weather channel). The Maps are a big improvement.
Okay Ethan, time to confess for the evidence is out there:
1) Someone held the camera for your jump into the river.
2) When you video through the van windshield while driving, you are always seemingly following the same white car with a roof rack of some kind.
Just curious you know. Traveling can be more fun with friends around you. I've done solo and group motorcycle trips. I remember the group trips as ultimately more fun.
Stay safe in eastern Oregon. Your choice of roads should you need to escape are more limited, and keep that gas tank as full as conveniently possible.

Honestly, with no one else at that parking spot, and with that great place to swim, I would've skinny dipped. The geological event that we know as elnino is tapering off on a grand scale. Cooler temperatures will continue to prevail along with the gulf stream. Only you can prevent forest fires.
What an experience to go through; I am trying to remember the quote about a "fearsome beauty" ... your pictures of the blazing orange sky reminded me of that phrase: beauty encapsulated in such a destructive force. Stay safe!

I live in California and was about 3 hours away from the closet fire, but our skies looked like that. We could smell the smoke in the air and ash particles would rain down on us. My SUV would be covered in ash every morning and it was difficult on the lungs. I was dusting in my house every single day due to how heavy it was. We are in the Central Valley, surrounded by these fires and the wind would bring it in to us. I am glad you are safe and made it through this harrowing ordeal. You Millie and your camera man (😂😏) must’ve been so freaked out and the thought of being that close to the raging fires would have stressed me out for sure. I promise you that it’s much nicer in late winter and early spring. Unfortunately, these fires have become the norm here. Love ya and be safe ❤️

Sorry for having to run from wildfires, but this was your best video yet. You point out that sometime when your "chillin" with van life, it turns into a lot of work. From a quiet dip in clear mountain stream to running from deadly wildfires. By the way, that was an awesome leap off the cliff, good job Ethan.

How frightening! Ethan, you have been in my thoughts for days. The news coverage of all the wildfires going on is alarming to say the least. I know you are smart and can take care of yourself. Please don't take any chance. I cannot stand the thought of anything happening to you or Millie.
I live in Northern California and I know what you went through. The fires are scary, but when the ashes are raining, the fires can be 20 miles away. Ashes are light and are carried in upper winds. 😉
Your videos are so good and they get better and better each video you do I do appreciate all the scenery and all the time it takes to edit your videos and put them out there I know it's not cheap it's very expensive to do and we do appreciate it God bless you and Millie

I was in Oregon last week. I drove through entire towns that were burned down.
I'm so glad you and Millie are safe. As soon as I realized you were near those fires I got very concerned. Lots of people died driving down the roads in last years fires. I think you can check with the Highway Patrol for safe travel routes. That swimming hole was a bit of heaven for sure. It was incredibly beautiful. I loved the shot of Millie lying on that rock at the swimming hole too. Please be safe and avoid those fires. Thanks for sharing.

The reality of climate change is fueling all of these wildfires. You show great courage and navigational abilities in avoiding the conflagrations but watch out for air quality. Millie is the very best friend and traveling companion.
