I have a question do you work or how do you do all these trips travels I have money in my bank account but I'm afraid to touch it I hope you can answer this because it's a serious question I'm not kidding.
Which company did you use to get a scuba diving certificate? And how much? I always want to get one. Even though I am an Asian-American, my mom is Thai and my dad is Chinese. My mom's mom (grandmother) still lives in Thailand, and I will visit my grandma, with my parents next summer (2023).
@@Happydude1183 Good question. TH-cam is my job. Making videos is the only way I afford to travel. I get paid by Advertisers like Manta Sleep in this video. I also get paid from the ads that TH-cam runs on my videos. Whenever you see “skip ad” that ad made me a very small amount of money. But it adds up over thousands of views. Hope this helped!

I wasn't really social enough to travel in college, a lot of my friends where exchange students to various countries and so I approve you travelling and showing it off. I'm 39 and so it was different then than now but still. Thank you for all your videos. I listen to some of you almost every day now!
I very much appreciate that you included your discomfort and stress from the chaos, Ethan. That hustle you encountered is, in my experience, so typical on the biggest cities in the US as well. Everyone's trying to make a buck. As a tourist, one can be polite without sharing any personal information. And yes, in this world where everyone has a camera, it *is* very interesting how many objections to recording you received. In the future, would you mind discussing local etiquette tourists should know when traveling to Thailand? Also, what are you using to protect your camera in underwater shots? I'm really loving this Thailand series and am so excited to see more!
You make very excellent videos, Ethan. You have great images on land and water and underwater and in the air. You show yourself very clearly having fun and being in areas that are questionable. I think your videos will be watched days, weeks, months and generations from now. You always look and sound great.

Also, for what it's worth - "When in Rome...." "When in Thailand ..." When served a meal with rice on the side, Thais will first eat a bit of rice as a thank you to the gods, an honorific for the harvest. Also, just as eating peas on a knife is considered offensive and rude in the US, so is eating with a fork in Thailand. Lots of foreigners do it and by now the Thais just ignore it, but try eating with a spoon - it's what Thais do.

Wow Ethan you’re getting to see a lot of Thailand that I never got to see and I spent a year over there. Pad Thai curry is my absolute all-time favorite curry dish but I always had it served over white rice. Be safe and be aware there are those that will always take advantage of foreigners. Either scammers or sex trade workers. They work the tourist hot spots. Whenever I travel, If at all possible, I make an effort to not look like a tourist.

now that was a great video. some voice overs and some live talk. great advise and great to see that your are visiting some places off the beaten path. exciting to see you dive and truly some fantastic underwater pictures. also, that kid on that koh was just trying to solicit you. surprised you haven't seen something like that before. they can be handy if you are in a tight squeeze but other than that Thailand is not known for things like pick pocketing or credit card fraud which happens here in America all the time. Most people in Thailand are not greedy and are really friendly. I dated a Thai guy once and he was beyond hot but he was in the closet and it was not my thing at the time. Can't wait to see more videos from that part of the world. Don't forget to post on tiktok. Show us some of those hot Thai guys. Thanks!!!!!!

I got my PADI certification on Koh Tao too! I got mine at Assava Dive Resort (at the time they were called Sunshine Dive resort). Loved Koh Tao. Did you spot any whale sharks on any of your dives?
