Do you keep a FIRST AID kit in your camper.? I am in Montana and carry one in my truck all the time when camping cause you never know what can happen in the wild far away from anyone

Would i sleep in the cave? Yes, but probably go back to van the 1st time something crawled on me. lol. So happy to see you adopted Peaches & will take her on all your adventures. Every traveler needs a companion to share the good...and bad i guess...times with.

VERY cool video! When I was a kid, some of my cousins, my sister and I decided to try and spend the night in an old camper parked by a cabin that belonged to my cousins' other grandparents. I was the only one who lasted the night out there. The cave looked dark, but somewhat snug. However, the idea of spiders crawling across your face and body at night is disconcerting. I don't blame you for heading back to your camper! So lovely to meet Peaches - she's a sweet girl with a big ole smile! I'm glad you found a new companion, that makes such a difference in your adventurous life! 💖💖💖

I have no problems camping in a cave once it is scoped out for any critters. A small fire will keep some animals at bay. And you can see what’s coming. No need for money, but a companion would be nice. Someone to talk with. ❤❤

❤ Peaches great company. The cave is great if you HAVE to get emergency shelter but risky for snakes and poisonous spiders 😄money wouldn’t be a deciding factor ❤️
Camping out is great. I have slept over 500ft underground in a "wet" cave, spent a night doing on a plank between tree branches beside a flooded river and as a kid we went fishing at a lake, collecting ferns to make a mattress and sleeping on the ground under the stars, even on night when sleeping bags froze de to low temps & condensation. It was a lot of fun when young, but at 76yo now I need a bit of comfort in my life.

You can have all the same comforts of home in a home carved out of sandstone, or other mountian/underground, modern homes out west. Running water, electricity, internet... that is modern cave home life. :)
Thanks for another entertaining and fun video. I would rather sleep in a rock shelter or cave than in an abandoned man made structure. Great to see improvised cooking and peaches enjoying the adventure with you !

I would definitely sleep in that overnight, no money necessary... just breakfast in the morning. I did basically the same thing as you, only I didn't have a camera or a choice. It's good to see someone out there doing this by choice and enjoying the majority of it. I too have been all over Asian and experienced much of what you have, and I have to say it is so enlightening to know how friendly people are when they know you are just out on your own and enjoying the land and different cultures. (Peaches is adorable! RIP Millie)
I'm afraid I thought the rock looked like something else... Not sure I'd be sleeping under any kind of rock in an area where there are snakes. Nope, thats a no from me. At 5:55, be careful about turning over those rocks. Always turn over a rock with the open side AWAY from you so if there is a poisonous critter they will have less opportunity to bite you.

There are not many bears in southern Utah (ok, one hungry one would be enough) but there are mountain lions. They like the smell of steaks and little dogs.

Peaches is so cute and so good! The cave camping doesn't bother me. I slept in a series of caves in both Colorado and New Mexico with a variety of fun critters inside and outside. The first couple nights were a bit sketchy, mostly because I knew there were bears in the area, but after that, I really enjoyed roughing it and would do it again. I think the more you do it, the easier it becomes.

It's just after 8.37 am in Scotland, it's freezing cold outside, I'm still in bed enjoying my morning cuppa. I have just spilled some tea Because I got a fit of laughter " seems their has been an eviction " ( clearly a death by a big red brush.. poor spider ) PMFSL...No fucking way would I camp out like that. 1/ The crinkly noise from the tarp as the wind moved it would have driven me insane, 2/ my mind would have gone off the chart if I heard a single sound, 3/ I don't do cold very well. 4/ Sorry, no amount of money could tempt me to do that. Ethan you crazy dude. Keep camping and Keep Safe. ;-)

Ethan Ethan Ethan….Utah is an incredible place. When I camped there I’d just throw a tarp on the ground and sleep on the under the stars in my bag. Not much in the way of predators to worry about. I usually tried to find something elevated on a flat rock off the valley floor though. Nonetheless you get an A for effort!

Respect for this! Many years ago I tent-camped for a week in Southern Utah, and there is a serious "alien abduction" vibe out there at night. I hope you had a chance to catch the annular eclipse while you were down there, not sure how your video timing lines up with real life. Very much recommend trying to get somewhere in the central states to see the 2024 total solar eclipse in 6 months. You've got the camper, so you're basically perfectly equipped to see something awesome.
