The spot along the river was nice. In your travels I notice that you are often near rivers and lakes. Have you ever considered getting a fishing rod and testing your luck on the waters. Fishing is the one sport that is very hard to master , yet provides a fun challenge. I call it an excuse to get out into nature. Whether you keep one for dinner , or just carefully let them go. Most of the time the fish out smart us! Lol. You seem happy and that makes your viewers happy .

The bottom of the canyon is always warmer because you’re losing so much altitude. The bottom of the canyon is scorching in the summer. I managed to drive a Toyota forerunner into the Colorado river in the winter near Moab UT. Black ice, the road turned to the right. The card decided to keep going straight. I took it airborne and fortunately the water was low. It messed up my undercarriage, but I was able to get out and get home. My alignment was very messed up. Hope you’re having fun, enjoy the desert!

That looks so good actually, as for the rattle snake issue in the future, alwaays carry and use a good size stick with anything on the end that will make a noise, ifif your about to stumble upon a snake it will strike out at the stick giving you some warning its there, then move away fast.
Several vids you mentioned traveling with a friend, awesome. It's not a good idea to go it alone. Peaches is bigger than I thought. My dog is maybe 15 inches and close to 15 yrs old too, but 12:27 love him dearly. I about got a hard on when I saw the fire pit. I soooo love camp fires. Nothing compares to the warmth, not even a heater. Nothing compares to the relaxing, not even music, or lights. TBH, I'm not a fan of smoke in the face, but even that is worth it. I love camping outside and love a good fire. Sorry, someone else has to cook. I can't even cook with a microwave. I'm a sorry guy. I follow but rarely comment, now you know why. Keep them coming.

We have recently begun having issues with coyotes in my state, especially in the northern mountainous areas. I learned from several neighbors that coyotes are terrified of loud noises. I made a "Coyote Can" which is a soda can filled with small pebbles. Whenever a coyote wanders into my property, I have had no problem shooing them away by rattling the Coyote Can and hooping and hollering for a couple of minutes. They leave immediately and do not return for a few days. Maybe you could create some sort of noise maker that could be activated from inside your camper. Best of luck. Love your videos.

One thing I've noticed about the West, is that they (governments) largely assume you're capable of making your own decisions and assessing risk - back East, it's guardrails and roped off baby trails. I remember on a hike in Bryce there was a sign explaining how to deal with an attacking moutain lion ('this rarely happens') - something to the effect, that, after the after the make yourself big and wave sticks thing fails 'Fight back and hit the cat. Hard.' Really enjoyed the channel for the past couple years - I came midway through the last van iteration, pre-Curacao. Oh, and you've gotten cuter as you've gotten older :)

Is that the COlorado river? Geologically speaking, the land rose and that is how the Colorado ate through the ricks. The level of the river has never changed. Only the elevation of the land.
It’s a tributary to the CO river, Diamond Creek

Again, more bravery on your part. I would never drive on cliffs like that! Btw, I am pretty sure that a couple of early 1970's B movies were filmed around there. One of those spots looks like where this possessed truck was following this guy through the whole movie in 1971, and that spot is where it met it's demise and went over and blew up! So, that might be a famous spot for that! I think that may have been Spielberg's first movie! Anyway, keep on trucking my friend!

Hey Ethan, thanks for sharing. I know it's your job, but I've been living vicariously while watching your travels. You are doing things I wish I had done when I was younger, but you are more brave than I. I would have slept under that 'turtle' cave but only if someone was with me. I first saw you in Curacao and noted a comment you made in Thailand about preferring quieter beaches with less people. Totally agree! Did you ever visit Bonaire while you were in Curacao? Have you any plans to visit Canada? Finally, I'd like to encourage you to be less afraid of spiders. They don't want to bite you unless they feel directly threatened, they are marvels of evolution and play a vital role in the ecosystem. Keep well and safe travels.
