As a southerner, the mustang is an all year car.
You’re not wrong lol. I’ve driven Mustangs through many Chicago winters. Growing up my dad’s only car was always a Mustang GT and he never had any trouble driving the family around. My brother, my mom and I. Now I’m doing the same thing lol.
I drove my mustang gt performance pack 6 speed 50 miles across the Charlotte snow storm battling ice and snow to rescue stuck family member. Saw crashed cayman camaro and more. Snow/rain mode works on the mustang 👍🏾
🤣 I live north of 75% of Canada's population and drive a Mustang all year
A ton of mustangs are daily driven year round in the snowy areas of the country, really no differently than a cheap fwd car would be. It’s all about the driver.
@martinmarinelarena8508 absolutely.
The fact that you are racing a Mustang versus a Corolla, wow lol
The only thing that makes sense about it is they are both sports cars by definition and same price.
I’ve never heard anyone mention a mustang being unstable above 100.. I often would hit 150 at the top of 4th gear 😂..comfortably

That grin on the face of "Dad" in the Mustang was priceless. ....he sure enjoyed that.

Rightfully so too. Priceless!
Definitely have to enjoy V8 manuals while they’re still around. Happy the V8 Mustang is still here. The new S650 Mustang is so similar to the previous gen S550 Mustangs. It’s more like a facelift more than a new generation. I purchased a 2021 GT with 30k miles for $30 out the door 3 months ago. With only 2 performance mods (Headers and E85). I was just above 500 whp to the wheels. Tracked my Mustang twice so far and with Magnaride suspension from factory the car was a so good on race track. Takes turns really well and fast on the straightls. Not as engaging as my BRZ on track but pretty close considering how much bigger the Mustang is.
I love driving the BRZ way more nimble than my Mustang
@@deven3286 The BRZ is definitely a fun analog car. I like street driving with it because it's fun driving a slow car fast. Less chance of getting in trouble. The Mustang is also a fun car but spirited street driving can be scary at times because it's too easy to go fast.

What made the Yaris a homologation special is the body/aero. With Rally2 the engine is a 3 banger but that’s it.
41k for a slower car
@Ryukomytoy in a straight line sure. Not slower everywhere else.
Lol it is a terrible time to be a car enthusiast. Everything is way overpriced even before markups. insurance rates are sky high, interest rates are high, quality control is low. The average person can't even afford older sports cars anymore and GOOD LUCK if you are into 90s/early 2000s JDM. Nothing is obtainable for an average car guy or a young person wanting to get his first car. Even old 90s civics that are clean can cost you 10k+ unless you get an absolute junker.
The GR Corolla is the clear choice. A lot of these people aren’t real car guys. The TFL target audience is casual, low education, and fast food consumers . Of course they are going to think a crappy ford is better. The GR engine is an overbuild 1.6 l with 3 cylinders that puts out 300 hp. Ford could never engineer anything close to that.
Naturally aspirated V8. No one ever mentions how much it will cost to replace that turbo. Because it will fail.
A replacement turbo in an Ecoboost engine costs about $300-$500, but fail as early as 100k miles. Labor is maybe 3-4 hours, depending on how much the shop wants to twist your arm.
@@trevorbrown7224I have a 3.0 ecoboost new turbos are 2-3k labor to replace them is 10-12 hours.
Everyone makes that argument but the turbo on my MR2 is at 165k and has been happy pushing 18psi for half that many miles. The turbo on my V70R is just over 200k with 80k being at 22psi. Turbos are pretty reliable when you treat them well, use the right oil, warm up, cool down etc.
Don’t forget the failing head gasket. Not a fan of turbo engines, they’re always stressed. The NA V8 is always understressed.
We can engineer for more heat and power, we could use grocery paper bags for head gaskets but we don’t. Nothing is overstressed if engineered correctly.
V8’s have way more complexity than a 4 or 3 cylinder, by that measure more likely to fail.
The new Sonata N line looking very nice.

Tommy complaining about the Mustang's interior and he's not wrong. But, he was leaning on the top of the line Corolla. That's a base Mustang with lazy styling with tablets stuck on the "dashboard".
Even the base is not that bad, and the top of the line is easily better than those 2. launching the GR Corolla with the stock pitch mount presents significant challenges. The factory mount is notorious for tearing at the front with relatively low mileage, observed in instances as early as 1000 miles. Such damage complicates gear shifting, rev-matching, and the launching process considerably.
Do some research, your utterly incorrect about the Mount tearing, its just a soft pitch mount from the factory, that "tearing" is by design and is called flashing material, it was never meant to be permanently bonded to the aluminum structure, it is blatantly obvious if you ever actually looked at one.
@rock40ps3 My pitch mount was removed and inspected at a dealership prior to posting my comment. It was noted that the front of the mount had separated. Causing the engine to shift more than it should. This results in a loss of deliverable torque during launch. Additionally, this affects the 0 to 60 time and makes shifting more difficult.
Many GR Corolla owners have discussed the pitch mount. It is evident that you lack the first-hand experience to comment on the subject.

Funny that, Roman says that’s the same thing your mom told him last night🤔
@@TFLcarWow ,nice answer TFL . We have real professionals here. If the guy is a dick you had your lower to his level.
I am pretty sure Roman didn’t say that because these are the kind of answers that can destroy an otherwise thriving channel and Roman is way smarter than that. On the other hand, this is what a 20 something employee would post on a Saturday morning when his boss is still sleeping at home oblivious to the damage his employee is causing.
@TFLcar huh?
What??? Bro speak English please 😭
Was there 2 different exhaust tips on the Toyota?
Come on, Tommy!!!! Seriously, a 3 cylinder turbo? Turbos are so notoriously unreliable. The Mustang sounds fantastic! There is no replacement for displacement. We absolutely love our V6 4runner.
turbos are notoriously as unreliable as their owners upkeep. "the more you know"
This would be a tough decision for me. Love the awd sport hatch, but also really love the V8 and more power. Although I'd go for a manual transmission
You need to try that Mustang on E-85! Why are you not running it on ethanol?
