      Hi Jim, thanks for the love! 😘 Can you retro fit a shaft adapter to a bore through driver head, eg. a Callaway X 11deg? If so, can you show this for those who can’t let go to past memories! 😆😱

    I should have known that you are a fellow bubble head. And the best class of submarine ever built! SSN662 Gurnard and SSN677 Drum myself. Ahoy shipmate!

    Pretty clubs! I wish manufacturers would sell us just the heads. Wedges wear out pretty quickly and it would be nice just to be able to swap heads on an annual basis!

    So Jim, you were a submariner? Often wondered what life was like under the sea. Thanks for sharing your respect for the military. I enjoy your channel and look forward to each new episode.

    Wedges look amazing...great job. A little surprised you did not add color to the ferrels? So many color and options you do for others thought you might match the grip or the shaft. Still look great. I am considering Mizuno after seeing your numbers and hearing your self evaluation. Thanks

      I did look to the colored ferrules but they did not match very well

    Awesome Jim. Looks great. Question: do you stamp ever with a shaft on the club head? Can you show that. Have a good one.

    I could never hit wedges with bounce angles that low. And my wedges and my putter are the best clubs in my bag. I just require a lot of bounce. Those are some good looking wedges by the way.

    thinking of putting mci Fujikura wedge shafts into my jaws 5 wedges. do you have any experience hitting them. just took out all my modus 105 shaft and went all 95i tour spec in my irons soft stepped once. love them. would love to hear your suggestions on my wedges. I was also thinking to same some money to use the 110i soft stepped twice and put them in my wedges. do feel with 95i in the wedges my swing weight would be crazy off? I do play my irons 1/4 short from standard. thanks

    A very creative idea of mixing shaft and grip colors on your wedges. Curious as to the frequencies you made your wedges and irons? Thanks!

    • @McGolf
      @McGolf  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I kept them in the same range as the irons. People talk to making the flex less and certainly a good thing just not dramatically so

    Love your videos..i have a question do irons get a bent mark on them after loft bent...

    • @McGolf
      @McGolf  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It can depending on the pressure placed on the club and how soft the club is. However it’s worn away after a few rounds coming out and back into the bag. That’s on the sole. The hosel is less likely IMO if bar that is adjustable is used

    You mentioned tipping!! I am familiar but what rules of thumb are there for tipping wedges, irons or woods???

    • @McGolf
      @McGolf  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      tipping does not happen in .355 tip iron shaft or any other taper tipped shaft. most shaft companies provide tipping instructions to meet a required flex or golf club.

      @@McGolf so I went cheap FST shafts R115 .370 para with a high launch profile that had no instructions( correction they suggested for wedges tipping 6". AB'ed my shaft profiles of my other wedges RTXs and found out the tip lengths were much shorter, I friction fitted the head and gave a shake test and way more flex than I thought I need so I split the difference and tipped 3" with 8" remaining. Still has more flex than any of my other wedges and hopefully I struck a good balance. After some more research I most likely put a extremely light shaft in. Thank you for the reply and your service!!

      So after a brief chipping session out on the practice area I am one happy camper. I put Together a wedge with more forgiveness and better feel than my old one. Going from 60 deg to 58 deg was a good choice. The feel is amazing to me!! Soft tipping turned out to be good for me. Feels better on contact than my 52 rtx3. Wonder it that is a benefit of FLOing?? Thank you again for your time and information!! Happy am I!!
