    Brilliant! No overhyped long intros or Outros just straight to the point. Brilliant nicely done. !!!😊😊😊 this makes me want to consider Jimmy… But more importantly, Suzuki should take a note..❤

      If you are in that space of getting a new car, I will vouch for this one, provided it fits your family size and lifestyle. If those parameters work for you, take an exhaustive test drive, you will love it 👍

    Could you please actually show how was the cabin light replacement done ?
    Incidentally in mine , the one at the front when I pull it down , has 2 connected spots . One can be unclipped but not the other one .
    Hence I had to rest my DIY , though I have a pair of LEDs waiting to brighten the cabin.
    Am due for the service at Nexa . Will pick their brains .
    Thanks a ton Ritesh .

      Hi, let me see if I can do that, however you are on the right path, it takes a lil bit of force and effort to undo the second one but be careful not to scratch or break it… use a cloth at the screwdriver tip to prevent abrasion - best option is when you get your next service done like you said!
      Thank you and good luck 😊

    Thank you! All hacks seem effective, simple and brilliant - except the spinner thingy. Special mention for seatbelt thin and auto-stop reminder! MarutiSuzuki must recall all Jimny's and install or correct these issues. I guess one big gap in Jimny interiors which needs urgent solution is the missing drinking water bottle holders in all 4 doors. Even an Ignis has these. You need water every 40-60 mins in a long journey .. and more so when the car is full with 4 or 5 passengers.
    Spinner: I always felt that such additions to a critical part as the steering wheel can be dangerous in the unfortunate moments. Never felt the need in a Maruti all these 30 yrs. But you have used it 20 yrs, so I'm sure it is not unsafe, and is useful. Will try when I get my Jimny

      Dear sir, Thank you so much for watching and sharing your feedback and compliments 😊.
      The idea was about sharing my positive experience with the steering spinner and the viewer can make a considered choice once they have all the details and facts - the key is to buy a heavy, good quality spinner and install it properly - its installed on the inside the steering - installing it with it jutting outside the steering wheel can be dangerous as it can get entangled in clothing etc. Please weigh all pros and cons before you install.
      Regarding storage, have you seen my video about Jimny space hacks - do watch, Cheers 👍

    I initially thought the turn-off auto stop would trigger the car's voice command system and turn it off. But it turned out to be a driver programming hack. Effective nonetheless, brought a big smile on my face. Love the seat clips solution. Thanks for this video.

    I think the wheel spinners have a bad reputation and are notoriously being referred to as suicide knobs. It’s even illegal in certain countries. Better to get adjusted to the turning radius limitation of Jimny and drive accordingly.

    • @handsonwithbabbar
      @handsonwithbabbar  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for highlighting this and essentially your concern, appreciate it.
      If the the spinner is a sturdy good quality (it gets subjected to a lot of force while being used so you need a robust build) and
      It’s installed correctly (at 2 O clock position facing inward, inside the steering and firmly without any play) it’s fine - I have being using one for 22 years and very happy with the role it plays in my driving, cheers 😊.

      Now that I see some hope, kindly advise if steering spinners are SAFE & LEGAL in India....and from where to buy it for how much....
      Shall be obliged....

      @@col.surindersinghghuman6580Steering Spinner are not safe even one bit..They can break while using it to say the least and in case of small accident when airbag doesn't open it can hurt you..Most morden cars have power Steering and even then if you can not make a u turn then you lack basic skills..And how does that make the turning radius small? Like kuch bhi

    • @handsonwithbabbar
      @handsonwithbabbar  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, are you serious when you say stuff like, they can break, really! - so, can anything else, things that are made, break down too - the brakes fail, Tyres burst etc. so does one not use them? No sir, like everything else, you buy a good quality stuff, a spinner in this case (I have been using mine for 22 years across five cars now), then you install them correctly and you maintain them well and repair and replace, when you need to, like everything else mechanical and subject to wear and tear!
      To your logic of getting hurt with a spinner when bags won't deploy, you can only bang yourself on to the spinner, if you are not wearing your seat belt and if you are wearing it, then the seatbelt pre-tensioners will deploy and that can't happen .. so that's "kuch bhi" theory according to me.
      Please do watch the video carefully, no one said the radius becomes small, the use of a spinner gives you a faster steering turning ability and better steering control and therefore more efficient tight turns, but you need a few years of driving experience to understand that... Thanks for watching and commenting, appreciate it!

    • @handsonwithbabbar
      @handsonwithbabbar  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Dear sir, please visit a store and buy a heavy duty, good quality spinner that will serve you for years to come - i would look at the budget etc. but the quality as it's critical performance equipment. Please get it installed correctly by professionals - 2' O clock position on the steering wheel is a good position and the spinner should either right on top of the steering or on the inside of the steering, like in the video - it should never outside the steering as then it can interfere with your clothes etc. Cheers and good luck👍

    Very Practical Hacks, Babbar Sahaab. I have ordered the stickers, rear seat belt clips and a sunshade holder as well, to keep document photocopies, PUC label, a pen, my refuelling logbook, random entry cards and nick nacks. A zipper pouch can be used to keep photocopies and some reserve cash as well for parking fees, etc. The leather wrapped steering wheel slips for me.. do you suggest a steering wheel cover like the rust / tan one the Thunder kit contains ?

    • @handsonwithbabbar
      @handsonwithbabbar  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s great 👍🏻. They are all useful items, will certainly simplify you Jimny life 😊. The steering wheel works quite well for me, you should go to a accessory shop and see the variety there and check the grip before you buy - the Nexa options are very limited and also too common now, as almost every thunder edition Jimny has the same tan / black seat covers and these tan accessories😉

    The turning radius in Jimny is horrendous. I was shocked to find out that Thar’s turning radius is shorter than Jimny. For me it’s a major deterrent when driving Jimny within the city lanes despite it being a petite car in size.

      @@infinitebeing1119 the short wheel base jimny has a decent turning radius 4.9m but lwb needs 5.7m . Rigid axle does hamper the turning radius in both cases. being the same length thar and jimny have the same turning radius despite that having an independent front suspension. You get used to it after maybe a month of driving.

    • @handsonwithbabbar
      @handsonwithbabbar  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The turning radius at 5.7 metres of the Jimny is larger than it should be, as is expected for that size of car but it’s not something extraordinarily out of whack! It is essentially similar to that of the Thar, Gurkha, XUV 500 and the like… so it’s very manageable and it just takes getting used to it and you do get used to it quickly too… so not a big deal (breaker), I think 😀

    The first hack is not good. Firstly, the alarm stops in 2 minutes automatically, and it's a very good feature to remind back seaters to put up belts. Moreover, u can always tie a belt without anybody sitting, so no more beeps.

    • @handsonwithbabbar
      @handsonwithbabbar  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I appreciate what you mean. However it would have been a good feature, if it kicked in when someone was sitting there, not when the seats are empty. Secondly, yes you can tie the belt but if you have to fold the seats and keep some extra stuff in the car, you have to unclip belts to fold seats - bottom line: nice feature poor & impractical execution by MSIL!

The only options are paint colour and manual or auto transmission. It has lane keeping assist and autonomous braking which is now a requirement on all new cars in Australia. We don’t have the push button start which I would have liked for the price. There is no 360 degree camera but we have reversing sensors which sound as you get closer to the object behind you. There is also adaptive cruise control on auto transmission models which adjusts the speed to keep the distance between the car in front . The radio has wireless CarPlay and a DAB tuner. Haha … you should ask this from the top honchos at MSIL!
      If you are asking my opinion, then according to me, it’s a journey as more and more people drive and experience the Jimny, they love it, they will buy it - some immediately, some will plan it as their next car and some will put it on their wish list ! If the price is kept right - it’s going to be a very popular car in 3 years or so that will have a cult following like the Gypsy has today… even greater 😊. Hope… that this is the kind of answer you were looking for …cheers.

    What’s your problem with auto engine start stop? It’s my fav feature on Skoda. Gives better mileage and keeps the car in silent mode on stops. Btw, it’s based on algorithm that checks multiple things including your battery.

      If you haven’t experienced the Jimny auto start stop- you must, because without it your expertise on the subject is incomplete 😜.
      We are all aware of the concept and how it’s supposed to work and what it does… in the Jimny it’s got a mind of its own 😝!
      Has you skoda ever shut down in your parking bay when you are in the process of parking it / straightening it etc… the Jimny does and the annoying thing is that it resets to armed, every time you start the car… I rest my case!

    Please do not encourage unsafe driving parctices .Steering wheel mounts are stricly used for slow moving heavy vehicles or earthmovers for ease of driver in offroad cumbersome conditions. Nowhere it is meant on fast moving vehicles like cars where you are required to control the steering properly with both hands for your own safety and of others [ for the very reason people with disability and who do not have the other arm or hand are not issueddriving licence ] .Have we become so lazy and have got no strength that we can not even control a power steering with both hands ...I wonder how we ever drove a fiat , ambassdor , CJ3B , Gypsy which did not have any power steering at all !!!
    Safe driving always.

      Hi, Thanks for watching and commenting!
      Quick question, how is using a steering spinner an unsafe practice? Just as i said, i have been using one for over 20 years now and without a hitch! It's an efficient tool, if you use it well!
      All in good spirit, take care.
