    You should add an audience around the ring! It would make the game feel more intense

      Make them go insane when epik shit happens, and boo/throw stuff into the ring when the fight is getting boring. Throw in obstacles or something to mix up gameplay

    I think what is so appealing about this game is that with the right mechanics this could be an easy to play/difficult to master type of game. Anyone could jump in without any experience and enjoy the feeling of playing it, but you could really spend time to get really good at it. This has huge competitive potential :D

    You should make it so the game keeps track of what arm you use most and as you use it more and more, the boxer starts leading with that side like a normal boxer would.

    This are all needed when u have done with basic setting of game
    1)physics to opponent a bit more u know a fall
    2)AI in opponent really necessary I known u already know that
    3) background noises , audiences ,scores , timeout , defeat, winner,
    4)jumping and hitting , hitting while the opponent is on u while ur down
    5)shiffting of camera on the side when u knock out the opponent with ur last move and slow motion effect to the punch
    6)when u have a critical hit on ur opponent a dhishhhh sound with slow motion like vibration u know and hence the opponent falls down
    7)and also some stylish moves u know block the opponent by turning around and hitting it that would give a taste to game , and I think so u can add here a critical hit
    8) I thought of giving advice on kicking but the legs are too short 😂 and u don't want to make it long it would look ugly but still u can include kicking with proper effect u know when the character is flying and so on

    The good thing about the boxing ring is that when you release the game is that if someone wants to advertise on your game they can just like they in the real world and you can put it in the ring. Your a smart man your a vey smart man

    Wow just wow, the editing is so good. I am seriously loving this, from the coco place thing to the lens fixing and the actual devlog, I am smiling the whole way through. I guess this is my early bday gift (in 2 days I cant wait). I think the punch in the logo needs to be moved up a bit because even though its readable and obvious what the word is, I just think it will look better if it's a bit more clear. And also you have had this channel for 2 years and in the time span of 1 month you have gained half the amount of subs that took you 2 years to gain, congratulations on 15k, big Klaps very Epik.     You could use your upperbody movement detection system to add sidestepping into the game. Rotate in the direction you want to go, press a button, and your character performs a little dash. It could be used in combination with a punch to get more range or it could be used to dodge punches aswell.
    Although, it looks a bit sensitive with the joysticks, you could add 8 snapping points so the direction you want to go is consistent.

    I have an interesting suggestion for the game that i thought up of while i was binged this series(just found your channel and loving the game and the videos so far.)
    So, I think an interesting addition to the game would be a sort of training system for your character. The way I envision it is you could have the player start the game as a weak fighter and overtime get stronger and stronger. The way I was thinking you'd want to go about this would be both gaining strength during matches and/or gaining strength by training at a gym (punching bag, sparring matches, etc.). Maybe in this way you could also get your stamina up which would allow you to do more moves in faster period of time. Another idea for a system like this would be that if you only participated in matches without going to a gym you'd lose strength and stamina. I feel a system like this could add an extra layer to the game and make it a bit more challenging. As a hopeful GameDev myself I hope to see more of your content in the future!

    You can use the face buttons or the d-pad to cycle through left foot forward, neutral, and right foot forward... or have a 1 to 1 mapping, like dpad left = traditional, up = neutral, right = south paw.

    I am very glad you were able to fix the issue! This game has a lot of promise so I am very excited for it! Also for your hand strength building, would you make it so say the player is right hand focused, if they started to prioritise using their left hand more, would their left hand be able to become equal to their right? (If that makes sense) I think you need a way to balance it so only one hand can become the players primary hand

    This game is so similar to a steam game named Drunken Wrestlers 2. You should check it out for some inspiration and comparison. It uses the directional punching (and kicking) system that is implemented well.

    I would suggest making the ring designs as decals.. That way the ring designs can be modified in-game and be modular! Awesome devlog as always!

    Adding on to the character customization idea, you should have a option to buy a pet that would stand on the side and sort of be your sidekick and cheer when you land a punch or something. Just an idea for a fun cosmetic.

    I think a health system should be implemented so that every punch has it's own strength and make the hardest punch to pull off be the strongest, also have a sprinting mechanism so that players can actually start playing right away rather then waiting for the characters to reach each other, make a taunt emote so that players can be competitive, make a sound effect when a punch do a lot of damage such as an audience gasping or saying ooh!, add a sleeping position that takes 2 sec to get to the ground and 2 sec to be back in action so that players who are too confident use it.
    I got more but I don't want to make development so hard, maybe on future episodes I'll give more ideas.

    You should add GYM. Where players could offline go and train their character. They start small and grow up bigger if they play a lot. You got the idea. Shouls be pretty interesting.

    Maybe in the future, if you ever add stands with spectators, you should make it so that there are sponsor banners with fictional brands, like in real life with real brands, and one of them should be Unreal as a nod to the engine. That would be pretty cool.

    Good Hitboxes - Physics - Multiplayer
    This is the evil triangle. You can't pick more than 2.
    Its impossible to guarantee that 2 seperate machines will always get the exact same physics outcome when things happen 50 milliseconds apart from each other (Ping).
    I punch you and barely hit you - my pc calculates the impact
    your pc gets notified that I punched, but because of ping, your character already moved half an inch further and I miss.
    Now on both machines the same character does different things.
    Of course this can be corrected and synchronized back and fourth all the time but this will kill the exact hitboxes.
    UE4 doesnt have a groundbreaking physics system in general. Its not built for countering that evil triangle. It allows for quite a big margin of error in calculations in order to guarantee stable performance. It doesn't want to be perfect and thus it wont recreate exactly the same thing in exactly the same way on 2 different machines. --> unreliable hitboxes again.
    I honestly think you should get at least a broad overview of the bigger steps ahead.
    If you cannot sort out this problem, your whole series could be heading towards a wall right now. So I thought I confront you with it as soon as possible.
    Ask experienced people in discord about their opinion on how to tackle this. I hope you can come up with a solution with helps of discord and such.

    4:23 okay, I'm not a game developer, just have an idea. Have the boxer slowly shift posture in favor of dominant hand. Maybe you could track the player's preferred hand by how frequent he uses either of the arm. I say 'slowly' because maybe as the frequency increases, the boxer also slowly shifts his posture until it reaches max value where the boxer looks the best with the proper posture.
    Also, it can also change if the player decides to use the other arm and change his style, maybe have it on the negative value.

    The floor of the ring should be a fairly muted color, like it's value should be pretty low (could still be pretty saturated). That way the if the value's of the characters are high (which they are at the moment) they stand out more and it makes it easier to read. Keep on chugging!

    If health is going to be used, specifically similar to zelda, maybe the "heart" UI could be a glove in your characters outfit colour.

    You should keep a hidden like fill meter or do bar where it keeps track of which arm you use most, and over time as the bar fills up more and more you lean to the side of the arm. Getting rid of clunky poses! Thanks and have a good day.
