I'd cut leaf shapes out of the wet in wet paintings. Perfect ephemera or center of interest on a collaged card.

There aren’t many art stores near me, I drive an hour to get to the blick - but it such a nice big store - totally worth the trip! 😊

Hi! Love your videos! These colors especially. I'm confused about these colors, though. I went to buy them using the peerless link, but they only show metallic colors - not these colors in particular. Please advise. Thanks! 🙂
You have to go into the “shop” menu. Then go into “ individual dry color sheets” then pick a color set, then it shows you the colors - click into a color and choose “liquid watercolor” instead of “dry sheet”. I think I was in there poking around their site when I found that.

You know, for people who feel guilty practicing on good paper, if they cut it down and do small format paintings, you’re literally spending 1/4 as much! Problem solved!

Have you experimented with brusho’s the granules you add water to ? I have a set but haven’t used them in ages
I have some other powdered pigments like those - and a video coming out soon using them! 😊
Towards the end you bust out a pen / brush of some kind for the gold ink and I wonder what you're using there? Easier to work than a tiny paintbrush
That is my Kakimori brass nib.. and Kuretake mica ink... here are the links to those... the nib is a little pricy.. but it is my very favorite and lets you do circles - where as a regular dip nib doesn't.

Have you ever tried pan soft pastels?
Yes. I have the whole set. Used them early on with encaustic work I did. And took some fun classes with them years ago. I need to get them back out 😁
totally off topic= but can you tell me the different kinds of color combination cards?? like the color cube, but other brands, I really thought there was more.

@beccascraps8141 I believe Ivy Newport’s lovely Colorflow books now also have cards with color sets/palettes that can be used along with the books or separately. :) But they’re intended to help you learn color blending as well as for inspiration when choosing a color palette for a piece you want to make, so they don’t have corresponding paints or pigments you can use - I don’t think that is what you are looking for, but wanted to mention just in case.
What is the art mat you use?
Are you talking about the brown board? That is a hardboard art panel. I like taping things to it. Then I can move it off my desk when it is drying and I want to work on other stuff. They come in several sizes. I have this one: amzn.to/3C8EK3z

I absolutely love your work!!! I have a question…I find myself in possession of several Daler Rowney inks (sets as well as individual bottles). These have all separated in their bottles because they have been sitting unopened for the past few years😏. Can these be revived for use now, and how would be the most effective way to go about this? My arthritic hands and wrists will never tolerate shaking each bottle😩 and I would really like to be able to use them. Thanks for any suggestions🥰

I think shaking them is the only way to remix them when they separate. Mine do that when they have just been sitting for a little while. I shake them every single use. I don’t know what else you’d do for those.
