    Sorry this was so late! I’m moving back to New Zealand and It’s very hard to film during this process, especially because I’ve just been put in a mandatory 2 week quarantine. However, I decided I simply couldn’t let these Ecoline Watercolours sit unopened a minute longer.
    I hope you enjoy this very very VERY in depth analysis of these ‘watercolours’ and I apologise in advance if the next video is late too! things will normalise soon I promise!

    a wonderful explanation/demo...just invested in Dr ph martin spectralite & hydrous inks, a new learning curve for certain, & wow!! bright colors...indeed, 1-2 drops go a looonnnggg way. Using golden airbrush medium w/spectralite works well to slightly slow down drying time & ii've added it tp gelly gouache as well tp rehydrate (also other mixed media mediums). your wonderful drawing showcases my fave way of pen & ink & color explorations, though mine are abstracts. and...w/art...yr never late to a supplies party...

    They were often used by illustrators for cartoons and comics in the 70’s and 80’s before digital colouring. Specially in the Netherlands, Belgium and some artist’s in France. In the first 30 sec of this video you see them using it. It’s the old bottles before the pipettes like the new bottles. Same brand th-cam.com/video/4QvekcBxw_8/w-d-xo.html.

    They are not artist grade or lightfast according to a seller on Amazon Canada.

    • @heyjohanna765
      @heyjohanna765  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah definitely not lightfast as I tested in the video, in terms of artist grade, well I personally think that’s a reasonably arbitrary term, I’ve seen people make spectacular art with MS paint and “student grade” pencils but you’re right that there are more products on the market that have higher pigment ratios and are made with better quality chemicals and binders etc
